This is a beautiful shop with a lovely cafeteria style restaurant upstairs serving freshly made salads, bakery items and heartier dishes. We devoured everything! I wish we had more time to shop the store below as the merchandise looked nicer than the average souvenir shop.

This was my first experience of shopping in another country. I was treated as if I were a regular and given every opportunity to understand all they had to offer. The manager, Allison was extraordinarily kind, friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. The entire staff, that I had the privilege of being associated with, were a credit to their positions. I look very forward to returning to Ireland, in part, because of the way these people treated me.

Shopped into the Kilkenny Shop on my last day in Dublin. This place is a great spot to browse - and buy! Lots to look at. I spent quite a while inside looking at clothing and ended up buying a wool sweater and a jacket from their sale rack. The staff were friendly and helpful. If I lived here, I'd likely come often because they had a great selection of all kinds of products!

The Café on the 1st floor of the Kilkenny Design Shop is a must for the best of the best of cafeteria style food in the city. The variety of food from homemade quiche, sandwiches, soups and beef/chicken, fish dinners- all fresh makes the Kilkenny Café an easy lunch choice. This is coupled with the best trained staff in the city. There is old school ‘pride in what we do’ here and a warm and personal welcome. The homemade soup and fresh savoury scone is a favourite! Whilst the Kilkenny design is one of the champions of Irish craftspeople, it embodies the spirit of what it means to be Irish in its every day culture. I love the place.

We could not have been more disappointed in our lunch experience last Saturday. What looked like a lovely beef dinner and salmon dinner was cold! We asked for it to be heated and even when returned to us, it was cold. We spoke to what appeared to be a manager who showed no interest in our complaint and just allowed us leave. Since then, I have left a message for a manager to ring me regarding our experience and guess what…. No call. Very disappointing.

The sales floor was lovely. Some really beautiful Waterford crystal and handbags caught my eye. The coffee shop was busy and we were pushed for time. Sadly the ladies were quite filthy and really let the place done

Had coffee and desserts. It was so good that we were late to our bus and they had to come get us.

An amazing shop but so geared to tourists. Please call in and have a good look around as I did today and found quiet a few incredible Irish artists and suppliers.

A great place for gift shopping. I went upstairs for coffee yesterday. I had several bags and my hands were full. I asked a young man behind the counter to carry the tray. He could not have been more helpful. He made my day. It was such a pleasure to sit down to lovely coffee and a gluten free scone. Highly recommended.

The shop is full of quality Irish designed clothing, crystal glass and jewellery. The also carry a large range of Irish art and pottery. In my opinion the serve the best breakfast in Dublin in their restaurant. The scrambled eggs are amazing. The staff throughout the store are all really nice and really professional.

Very poor online customer service. I ordered branded earrings and they came in the wrong box. It took two weeks of daily emails to get a response. The correct box was sent. A partial address on the parcel meant it was mis delivered to another address. Another month of contacts with no response. The box was eventually deliver ... a huge pendant sized box for tiny earrings. Save yourself the hassle and avoid.

Food good, goods very good. Restaurant service unbelievably slow, NOT enough staff and poor management around teas / coffees and till! Otherwise pleasant!

Food is fantastic for the price and probably one of the better or best budget restaurants in the city, the goods they sell are unique for the most part to Ireland, if looking for a gift to send abroad is your thing and wanting a gift to cherish for life this is definitely the establishment to visit.

Very disappointed with breakfast today. The items on offer looked like they had been sitting there for quite a while and when I sat down the food was lukewarm and that's being kind! Definitely no recommendation from me to others to meet there for a friends breakfast catch-up

This is a review for their cafe. The home decor good shop is not bad, plenty of unique items especially to the tourist eye. But we stopped by for a cup of tea and scones. And I still can’t decide if this was Irish or English (or for the matter if the jam goes first on the scone or the cream) but we had some hearty scones, pastry and tea for a delightful afternoon snack. So long Dublin.

Very nice cozy Irish department store! You would love this place and make sure to find one of the stores and take a look before leaving Ireland! Amazing blankets, hats, and all sorts of clothing, home decors and so on that you wanna buy it all!!

A lovely shop with a cafe upstairs. I have been going with my mam for years when she visits Dublin as they have gluten free scones that she likes. A huge drawback is that it’s not buggy or wheelchair friendly. There is no elevator up to the cafe, at least that’s what we were advised. We were welcome to carry the heavy buggy upstairs!! A nice security guard offered to help. Avoca is a similar establishment but with an elevator so that it’s accessible for everyone.

Great place for travellers as well, Irish goods that aren't your typical "Tourist Trap Souvenirs", however more on the pricey side of course. In my opinion it's worth it though, you support Irish work while enjoying the country!

High end craft store aimed at the discerning tourist who is willing to pay for unique and fabulous gifts, all Irish made. You will find pottery, art, wood, jewellery, beautiful clothes woolen garments woven rugs, etc, all bearing the artists signature and either boxed or wrapped beautifully. Goods are tax free for tourists. Upstairs is a busy restaurant serving lunch - salads, sandwiches scones cakes etc. With teas, coffee etc. The food is fresh, top quality ingredients and the staff are lovely. I highly recommend the scones they serve at the counter where you pay for your food. It's self service only. The only drawback is the restaurants hard surface areas, eg. floor and furniture and the quite low ceiling, which amplifies the constant harsh sounds. Also, it would help if staff took more care when clearing tables, for example, to gently place delph and cutlery down. Overall though it is a lively fun way to round up your shopping experience, having a nice lunch and a chat!

Great idea for shoppers. You can see so much the crafters in Ireland have to offer. Great variety. It was nice to see some of the craftsmanship from areas we didn’t have time to visit. Also, deeper into the venue the on-site shops and artists were a treat.

I really like this place! So many Irish brands showcased under one roof. It's a really great place to pick up a gift or a nice treat for yourself. Very good value for DCC too.

Pleasant items, nice to browse, but not very exciting - it's been basically the same for years. Lots of Irish designers/products of course, which is good. Good shop for wedding gifts, tourists, and the like. A tad expensive for some items.

I love this store to buy gifts. The staff are always so courteous, and Liz in the jewellery department was so helpful today in choosing a gift when the item we required was out stock. There is a great stock of beautiful Irish made jewellery and other beautiful products. I cannot wait for payday to treat myself :)

the desserts are great, whoever bakes them needs a raise! we had the apple pie, bakewell tart and the key lime pie, which were all amazing :)))))

There is nothing wrong in this shop strategically positioned aside the Trinity college, one can like or like less the goods on display, all of them made in Ireland by local artisans, from clothes to blankets and things to decorate the house. It is worth to look inside, the shop is not so big, time spent here isn't a waste. But I invite the tourist to also look elsewhere in the shops of Dublin and elsewhere because Irish artisans have much, much more to offer.

Nice store. Great housewares. We found good prices on Irish made linens and wool blankets, with shipping to the states. Nice cafeteria upstairs.

They have really lovely selection, but terrible customer service. I bought birthday gift for my family and used their international shipping service. It passed over 3weeks since I bought and shipping cost was around 100 euro, but they still have my gift at their warehouse and haven't send my gift. Please be careful if you use their service for seasonal gift. I was very disappointed.

Supports Irish brands and small businesses and craftspeople, which is amazing. found a lovely range of naturally scented car air freshener made in Ireland! It is expensive so not for all budgets, but you can always find a good bargain in the sales. Ideal for finding nice wedding gifts

This is a really good 'one-stop-shop' especially when looking for a nice present for a special occasion: we bought and had shipped an anniversary present for our daughter in Canada by the very helpful staff. There are renovations going on currently store and ceilings are low, so shop can be uncomfortably warm

Nice selection of high end Irish gifts. My wife purchased a Waterford crystal vase after she talked to the creator who was in town giving demonstrations. Nice bistro for snacks on the second floor.

Really beautiful shop and loads of variety of handmade jewellerys and potterys and ladies clothing. When it's sale it's amazing, all the items are super cheap and the staff are super helpful. I would highly recommend it to shop there.

Good range of products in the shop. Not greatly impressed with the staff in the restaurant though. Decided to have the triple decker club Sandwich . However the person behind the counter said they did not do it & to pick something off their menu. I pointed out that it was on the menu & she looked & then told me I should have asked for the club Sandwich. I had a Mocha coffee which was lovely though. It was also great to hear live music.

Alway glad to support Irish designers. The creative talent always delight with their wonderful designs. Staff extremely attentive and prices very competitive. We are lucky to have a store Dublin like the Kilkenny Shop. Wonderful!!

Best of Irish design & absolutely lovely staff, but the payment systems... dear oh dear. Gift card had to be rung through to customer service who had to credit till - 15 minute delay in processing sale. Hope they sort that before Dec 25th.

👍👍 After looking everywhere for lactose free milk, finally found it here in the food hall. Beautiful design, sort of art nouveau, with iron casted architecture, diverse shops and cosy interiors. Really recommend also for tourists who need to shop forgotten items.
