Wonderful and amazing free tour, what a dedication and creativity by the Sis. Mary Concepta of Booterstown (Dublin, Ireland), spent 16 years on this art, a must visit place, thanks to the guide!

I was here once last year. It was free for heritage week I believe it was. The DVD before it ruined the awe inspiring eventual site of this event. It is AMAZING. The young girl that did the tour was very good. Informative and passionate about the oratory. It is so beautiful in the oratory itself but I would forego the DVD before it as the place should have the wow factor of 1st view and the DVD shows inside it. I wish I had just walked in and gasped 'wow as it is truly a national treasure. If you like Celtic art and manuscripts and the book of kells go to this little gem 5mins walk from the Dart up convent road in dunlaoighre. 6stars it would get if possible . Very well run by professional staff. I believe there was a disabled toilet there but check if u require that. I cannot remember if there was a ramp but it may have had a tiny step up in2the tiny oratory. If you have neck issues it was hard for me to look up as the tour guide examined the ceiling art but still worth going as to s great art all over the walls also.

I have been in awe of this oratory since the first time I saw it in 1981, it was in the grounds of my school At Mary's Dominican Convent Dun Laoghaire. I haven't set foot in it is 1986 and it was just as beautiful as I remembered it. Highly recommended viewing it

An absolute gem. I can't believe I lived in Dublin for 15 years before hearing about this. As well as being a beautiful piece of art, the story of Sr Concepta and the oratory is a great window into the Ireland of the time. This is art of a very human scale. Thank you to the wonderful guide who brought the visit to life (Sunday, 23 July). And well done to DLRC and the various volunteers for maintaining this so well. Dublin doesn't always do justice to its history but this is an example of what can be achieved when people care

Beautiful Keltic walls done by such talented nun and wonderful stain glassed windows by a family friend. Two people decorated this church, but left such a legacy!! Really must see place for all lovers of Keltic traditional painting and all who just love beautiful places!!

We visited This beautiful and surprising place on a Wednesday, it was free the day we went. We arrived by train walked up Marine Road, turned right on to Georges Street, then less than 10 mins to Library Rd. A little way up is the enterance through large Green gates on the left. It was stunning, like being inside a painting, with beautiful Harry Clarke Studio windows. The story of the woman,a nun, who created this is in itself very interesting. Thank you to the staff who brought this intriguing story to life for us. Ann. .

Never heard of it. Drove through Dunleary this morning. Why are you sending this signal to people just passing by? Annoying!!!!!!!!! Go away
