Peaceful park in a beautiful neighborhood. This park was large, clean, and not very crowded on a Saturday morning in the middle of summer, on a gorgeous blue-sky day. Strolling through the park we found a cute little playground with some whimsical artwork/sculptures, like the giant sticking up out of the ground. We found Oscar Wilde's statue and the Jokers Chair. We continued on through the park, taking in the beautifully manicured lawns, watched as some workers set up for an event, and stopped to really appreciate the gardens and large oak trees. I couldn't believe how beautiful the wildflowers were, especially enjoying the hydrangeas that were more than I had ever seen in one place in the wild. Walking through the neighborhood, it felt safe and clean, as we walked from Merrion's square park to Fitzgerald park. We loved the architecture, the vine covered walls of the buildings, and of course all of the brightly painted doors.

I've been visiting Merrion Square for years and have seen it transformed from a rather overgrown park to an open, well maintained space. Seats and picnic tables have been added since I last visited in mid 2021. Lovely place to visit. Bright and spacious.

Well stituated between dublin city center and south side suburbs. Good access to transportation facility. The space is large for family walks, pet walks, lauch breaks etc. Includeds a kids playgrounds and the greenry in the parks is superb. Alot of parking spaces available for private drivers. Strongly recommend to anyone for a visit.

I love this park! It's clean and has beautiful green grassy picnic spots and tree lined walkways and beautiful flowers in season. This park gets busy during lunchtime with nice weather because everyone is having lunch on their break and it makes sense.

Every Thursday they have all these food stalls during lunch time...between 12pm to 2pm... It's an international food variety day... So if you happened to be around the area...go and check it out... I had a ๐Ÿ” and a ๐ŸŒญ...and wooow...they're huge...really worth your lunch money...

I really love to jog or walk around Merrion Sq. Park. It's such a quiet and peaceful oasis in the middle of Dublin's busy south-side. Their Thursday open-air markets may resume soon. I highly recommend a regular stroll.

Awesome park! Was there on pride day :) It hosts events from time to time. Totally worth the visit to Oscar Wilde monument. The construction of the Georgian houses at Merrion Square began in 1762 and continued for 30 years.

Hidden behind its surrounding canopy of trees, this is a really nicely landscaped and ample sized park! It's a perfect place to get away from the stress of the city for lunch if you're working nearby or just to relax for a while in if you're sightseeing in this area! It also boasts a war memorial pyramid and a suitably lanquid looking statue of of Oscar Wilde, a driud like throne dedicated to Dermot Morgan and on Sundays its railings are adorned by the paintings of local artists!

Wonderful small park in which to take a morning stroll. Several shaded paths, with a beautiful assortment of flowers, as well as an expansive open green in the center. Very close to Trinity College as well as the starting point for the shopping corridor, which starts at the Kilkenny Store and continues towards the Temple Bar area.

There's plenty of reviews of the park so while you're here, take time to enjoy the beautiful fanlights of the Georgian Houses which face the park. Each one is slightly different and a couple still have the original glass candle lamp 'box'๐Ÿ•ฏ if you look closely. Enjoy!

I guess this is my favourite park in the world. When they first put in the Oscar Wilde statue I hated it, but fairly soon came to love it, and now I can't really imagine the park without it. Strange to think this park was once just the garden for the posh houses around it, but now it's for us.

Merrion Square Park is my favourite small park in Ireland. Paths meander through an oasis of lush, semi tropical looking stands of trees opening on green city parkland. Many fine pieces of modern cast sculpture on regular display. Oscar Wildes statue is situated in the northeast corner, very close to the home of his youth on Merrion Square

A nice fresh winter walk, beautifully decorated with the Christmas lights and at the end of the walk, rewarded with a nice crepe and a hot chocolate or mulled wine.

One of the cleanest and chill parks in center Dublin. Not that many benches, but plenty of grass to lay on. Events also take place here once in a while.

In this beautiful and well maintained park sits the sculpture of the famous writer James Joyce. It is located in a corner of the park looking to the house where he once lived. The well- planted park also contains many other sculptures of famous Irish people. Merrion Square Park faces the National Gallery of Ireland and Leinster House, the seat of government. The park also faces the Natural History Museum and the remaining three sides of the square is surrounded by a great many Georgian houses, many of which have different and interesting features.

Really nice place to have a walk and meet friends. Since it is very accessible from city its really nice without too much crowd. And easily accessible to Grand Canal Dock, Trinity College and Stephens Green. Merrion square park is a really nice place for catching up with friends or just to spend some lone time.
