The atmosphere is very nice, the prices are great, but the service is very complicated. You can check tables littered with bird droppings and no one to clean them. I tried to approach the waiters a few times to place orders and just got ignored. Some menu items I tried to order were unavailable. I hope that in the next visit things are better.

They didn’t have the steak for steak club, didn’t have char-grilled or boneless chicken. Didn’t have bananas or yoghurt for the kids meal, and apparently didn’t have salsa for nachos so served me it without and didn’t say anything. The garlic dip was literally spilling off the plate and I had to ask twice for drinks I ordered and also got attitude when I asked for a high chair and menu. First time at wetherspoons, wouldn’t bother again unless it was for a quick drink.

This is in a prime location with a great view and so much space but that's about all that it was good for.I ordered the steak but it was just a piece of dry steak and mash. No sauce or anything. I had to wipe down the table with the moist toilette given for hands. The steak was dry and without sauce which I was informed that I had to pay separately. The mash was literally just potatoes.Alot of empty tables but not cleared or cleaned. The staff generally don't care anymore. The only thing working well here is the view and that's not even theirs. It was my first and last time here. Very sad

A brilliant spot! As with all Wetherspoons this is a great bar/restaurant. The views are awesome over the seafront - towards the two piers with the Poolbeg chimneys and lighthouse in the distance behind the west pier. Well worth the few € trip on the Dart. Definitely coming back but it would be really great to do it in warmer weather and sit outside!

I recently visited this amazing place and I must say, it exceeded my expectations in every way. From the breathtaking views to the scrumptious food and pocket-friendly drinks, it was an experience to remember. The location itself is stunning, offering a panoramic view that is truly captivating. Sitting near the sideways enhanced the already beautiful ambiance, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the surroundings. Whether it was a clear sunny day or a standard cloudy one, the view had an indescribable charm. Speaking of the menu, the food was outstanding. I indulged in their mouthwatering Chicken wings, and my friends also had the pleasure of trying some of the delicious drinks available. They were pleasantly surprised by the economical rates for the drinks, making it a win-win situation for everyone. Although the food was top-notch, there was one minor aspect that could be improved upon. It would be great if they played some light, soft music in the background, as it would enhance the overall atmosphere. Nonetheless, it didn't detract from the overall experience. The service at this establishment is self-service oriented, which may not suit everyone's preferences. However, once you get accustomed to their app or ordering from the bar, it becomes a seamless process. The staff members were friendly, helpful, and ensured a clean and pleasant environment throughout. One notable advantage is the ample seating available, which eliminates any worries about finding a place to sit. Additionally, the option to order online or directly from your table through their application adds convenience to the dining experience. I highly recommend arriving early to avoid potential queues since they don't take bookings. The popularity of this place is well-deserved, as it has become my go-to spot whenever I'm in the area and can't decide on a restaurant. My boyfriend and I both found something to love here, with him enjoying the drinks and me being a huge fan of their wings. The flavors were so delightful that I haven't found any wings as satisfying in other restaurants yet. In conclusion, this establishment offers fantastic views, delectable food, and affordable drinks. The combination of all these factors makes it a perfect spot to relax, indulge, and create lasting memories. Whether you're a local or a visitor, this place is a must-visit in Dun Laoghaire.

Cheap food and drinks may be. But the quality of drinks is surely not good. The customer service is what I found pathetic. Two stars since it’s a great location, especially the top floor balcony.

Because it's in Dun Laoghaire and you can have a great view of the sea you may think the prices are highly, right? But not really. The prices is very worth and they have a great range of food and drinks. If you have time, just pop in and check for yourself.

Forty Foot - The pub comes with an amazing view of dun laoghaire harbour. You can order using their weatherspoon app (make sure you include the correct table number orelse your order will be misplaced). I always order their chicken wings and halloumi fries - they're the best! They serve all kinds of alcohol and they are priced cheaper than other restaurants.

One of the cheapest places to get a beer and drink around in the area. It's got a nice outside sitting area to enjoy the sun by the beach and sunset.

The restaurant is situated in a prime location, overlooking the sea and providing diners with beautiful views of Dublin Bay.Diners can expect to find a range of dishes featuring fish, shellfish, and other seafood delicacies, as well as meat and vegetarian options. The restaurant also offers a selection of wines, beers, and other beverages to accompany your meal.he restaurant's decor features a maritime theme, with nautical touches throughout. Diners can also enjoy the restaurant's outdoor seating area, which is perfect for soaking up the sea views on a sunny day.

Been here a few times and it's always a mess, just hire more glass collectors! They also messed up my food order and when nothing came after an hour, the manager was very pleasant and helpful and refunded me. The drinks are very cheap and you'd expect and the view from the terrace is nice.

Meals are the lowest quality you could find. It explains why it is very cheap. I absolutely do not recommend eating there. I first thought that I would be a good place to go for a drink because it's super big and has a very beautiful view but there's no music and they put old bird noises super loud to give an "ambiance" but check the video I put, it's extremely loud and annoying. I heard they are declared as a restaurant and not a bar that's why the prices are cheaper for drinks and that there is no music. There also don't have Guinness because it's an english corporation (J D Wetherspoon). The only people that enjoys to go there are drunkard and junkie since the alcohol is extremely cheap. I experienced racisms there while I was just waiting in line to order, the guy who seemed a little high confronted me and thought I was going to steal his camera just because I'm tanned. Camera that I didn't even saw at first until he showed me. I confronted him by saying "It's because I'm Asian?" and he told me word by word "Oh you're not Brazilian?" Wtf. Also the same day, I ordered a Pepsi downstairs. They serve it with a sort of gun, pointing in the glass but the lid came off and the Pepsi spell out on my t-shirt. The girl wasn't even a little bit sorry. She just put the lid back, continued to fill my glass, gave it to me and bye bye. 0 considerations. At least show some concern or be sorry. This level of disrespectful is unmatched. Awful place.

The place is so beautiful! Absolutely loved the environment, especially with the fairy lights. The food was quite average or less than average in terms of taste especially for the price. The service is slow, if you want a drink you will have to stand in a very long line and order at the bar. I ordered the food at the bar too.

Not too bad…But they have a noisy sound (outdoor-terrace) to let birds go away that was working every 15 minutes…It was so annoying tbh

Great food, cheap drinks and an impeccable view of the harbor. There's ample seating, and friendly helpful staff. Go to place for a good meal in Dun Laoghaire. Easy to order online or with their application directly from your table. Great choice of beers.

Hate everything this chain stands for and myself for feeding into it. BUT, especially if you're on a budget, ya can't really fault it. Food was tasty and good portions. Good selection of drinks and cheaper than most places. Service was quite slow, they could probably do with more staff to overcome that. But the staff that were there were very nice and helpful. Probably expect to wait in line especially at weekends and busy times. Lovely views over the harbor from the upper terrace. Not wheelchair or mobility impairment friendly as there's LOADS of stairs! (Didn't see a lift or ramp anywhere and loos are upstairs also).

Good addition to the Dun Laoghaire Restaurant and Pub scene. Food affordable with good value for money. Very good selection of local and international beers. Unfortunately, on my last visit, many tables were littered with empty glasses as there clearly aren't enough staff to take care of the cleaning. I recommend Steak Club on each Tuesday.

Restaurant offers a variety of options for food and alcohol, a great choice for families or friends to spend their noon or evening time. Food Quality like basic and lack of service however atmosphere and vibe of the Forty Foot bar is excellent. We ordered chicken curry, pizza meat feast, BBQ panini and green salad.

Beautiful view, good price for beer, but the food isn’t great.

Decent restaurant good for cheap drinks 🍸 but not good for food. Food is priced less but portions are also small. Not many options in dessert 😋. Tables are not cleaned on time and staff is very slow. We requestd for some tissue papers and it took ages for them to come. They have 2 floors of seating and big restaurant but they need to work on cleaning and quick response to customers. Some people were very noisy and drunk 🥴. Location of restaurant is good. For ordering it takes time i had to wait for 15 mins to place my 2nd order. For food order they should have a separate counter.

Great view ofcourse, but what I liked the most was inexpensive drinks. Tried the kadoo rum, amazing sweet rum. Also has kingfisher on the menu…for Indian beer fans 😉. Food was okay, definitely worth the price. The only thing I thought was missing was music. They could play light soft music in the background if not loud.

It's a beautiful place with a great view. Especially when you sit near sideways. Great food. I had tried Chicken wings and also my friends tried some drinks too. They found it great too because the rates for drinks were economical.

We arrived about 4pm on Thursday. My two children are coeliacs (13 and 11). All that was on offer was a curry or chicken with a baked potato (no mash left). No beef bugers left so my husband ordered a chicken burger which arrived with cold chips. Returned the chips. Finished the chicken - still no replacement chips. Cubed chicken arrived with a battered looking potatoes and dry salad.....tired typing. I just want to go home and make my own dinner. Zero out of 10. Tables not cleared around us. Never again. Waitress on loan from Blanchardstown was the only decent one. A sing song has just started....

We are really disappointed by the way we were treated in the restaurant. We complained and said that the pasta was not good in the order we gave and we were disrespected and told by a waiter that “if we didn’t enjoy the food its not on the restaurant”. This escalated and the manager apologised but the way this restaurant treat people especially ones those who are from foreign countries is really bad. Disappointed!
