The military road was a nice walk. The formal garden was beautiful and a must see. The Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA) can be found within the old Royal Hospital Kilmainham.

The building is magnificent and so well maintained. The history of the building is well worth reading about. There is a take away coffee truck and a basement cafe with great food offerings.

The garden and the grounds are a great place to spend some time al fresco with a coffee in your hand. But please bear in mind that you are not allowing people with drinks inside the museum which reopened now. The museum itself is always interesting and surprising and they have a nice shop with souvenirs and presents but is can be expensive.

Beautiful building surrounding stone courtyard, overlooking stylized gardens only a stroll from the center of Dublin, that houses a modern art museum!

This place is steeped in war history and that of the aged service men at the time. A few of the areas you can see are now the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA). Otherwise, the grounds are well kept and you can see where the fence lines are, the service men Cemetery and a few other buildings of those in charge. Worth going into the information centre first to gain insight into the use of the building.

It was an amazing experience visiting a place with such a historical weight. Our guide Adam was incredible and shared with us in a very sensitive way all the sad but important moments that happened in the past.

Free in Nice place to stroll around for 2 hours especially on a sunny day. Lovely well kept gardens looking out on Dublin City Good venue for a concert. Within 1km of a luas stop so great for access. Directly next door is the Irish Modern Art Museum wouldn't exactly be my thing but a nice atmosphere overall

This is the home of the Irish Muesum of Modern Art, IMMA, featuring many excellent exhibitions and encounters with contemporary and modern art both International and Irish. The Royal Hospital Kilmainham is the finest 17th-century building in Ireland, and commonly known as the ‘RHK’. Its also the oldest classical building in Ireland and was based on its sister building, Les Invalides in Paris, with a formal facade and a large elegant courtyard. and the famous  Royal Hospital Chelsea which was completed two years later. More on the history of the RHK cam be found on site on the "Old Man's" exhibition. IMMAs exhibition space also includes the nearby Garden Galleries and the artists studios that often host sessions with artists, do see the website for more info.

Didn't visit The Irish Museum of Modern Art but did visit the gardens which were absolutely beautiful and just great to sit on the beaches and take in the sun. Best of all it is free.

Saw MCR here, great show but security leaves a lot to be desired. The queue to get into the venue was extremely long with no security at all. Security was non-existent, all the guards were at the gate but not throughout the line. Merchandise was beyond chaotic. It wasn’t a line - it was a free-for-all. Every time someone “escaped” the line, the crowd would push everyone forward. Security was nowhere to be found. Crowd control at the beer and bathroom lines, however, was neat and orderly. So they have the ability to keep lines orderly but choose not to?? Concert was great but security needs a massive fix. You shouldn’t have to worry about being crushed just because you wanted a band shirt.

Nice grounds around a beautiful heritage building. Bewary if yiu go with children; I went with my 5 yr old and some of the internal exhibits were quite graphic and disturbing for him, especially videos and photography of death and mutilation. The Museum Shop is good!

Very beautiful place that is smaller but enjoyed by the locals as I was told. The entrance is free so you can roam around around and enjoy the peace and quietness that comes with it. This is a small park compared to phoenix park but I highly recommend! Be sure to check if there are any evens going on here before you come!

Stunning architecture and scenery. The Museum inside Irish Modern Art is free to get in. The exhibition was informative. Coffee and food wagon on site in the garden. Amazing place

Buildings and gardens are beautiful. Not into all of the modern art installations. Be careful of the parking ticket machines, was charged €15 instead of €3 last Sunday 23rd July 2023.

If you’re looking to book a wedding or event don’t bother as you’ll get ignored. My partner and I wanted to book our 2024 wedding here and I have emailed 3 times in the last 3 weeks, no response which is so rude. Imagine how bad it would be if you were trying to plan a wedding and everything that is involved to be waiting and waiting for responses!!! Such a shame

Definitely worth a visit but allow a few hours as a good bit to see and read about the history of the building and the grounds and the exhibits on show in the museums.

Food in cafe just ok. Toilets dirty. Some of the art was interesting but lots of mad stuff there too.

Great gallery for contemporary exhibitions. Cafe could be improved. No bread available with my soup.

The worst set up for a gig in my lifetime. 20% of toilet facilities needed. Bar que was 1.3 hrs. Plus closed at 10pm. One small exit for an almost sellout crowd lucky nobody was crushed to death. It was liam Gallagher he put on good show but general feeling at gig was event destroyed the experience. Do not go to kilmainham

My favourite venue, multi exhibitions to browse with helpful staff to guide you along. Catering on site for either snacks and coffee, or a beautiful restaurant, which has easy access in the basement. Staff are absolutely wonderful and are friendly which is important to me.

Very nice spot, nice architecture, this one of tge purpose i really adore Ireland, it's the only place where you can find beautiful architecture of 17th century just in front of modern building and near Celtic construction.

Lovely stroll through the grounds. Open for take-away when there, but should open up a little more now. Atmospheric and beautiful architecture.
