This place has a great atmosphere! The food was absolutely amazing and a fair price. The decor, the staff, all top tier. Definitely recommend for an easy, healthy and delicious meal if you're passing through. Lots of GF options, too!

I'm disappointed. First and foremost unforgivable thing, this place is filthy. Under the cleaned table crumbles table all sticky. Another thing I won't forgive is food, reheated in microwave. Chicken once cooked and re heated STINKS didn't you know that owner? Cheesecake was quite good, you can't mess up something you have purchased from other vendors. Tea cup not cleaned properly old tea marks on it, teapot itself made me almost puke see the photograph. Place is rather disgusting should be shut down for inspection there is a health hazard

Wholesome kitchen is a wonderful addition to Mullingar and is already very popular with locals. The restaurant has a modern and welcoming interior with lots of comfortable seating. The menu is diverse with lots of options to cater for all dietry needs. We had the goats cheese bruschetta to start which was cooked perfectly. For our mains we had the power bowl and the chicken burger. Both mains were as delicious as they sounded on the menu. The only food item we disliked were the potatoes that were served with the chicken burger but that could be down to our tastes. Overall I highly recommend stopping in here for lunch and we will certainly be back again soon. Would love to see them expand and open another restaurant in Tullamore.

I had some spare time today so stopped by Wholesome Kitchen. My first time there and I was pleasantly surprised. Comfy seating, nice decor and attentive staff. Menu boards are all easy to see and a great variety to choose from. Starters from 4.95€ , mains from 14.95€ and lots of smoothies, and hot drinks from as little as 3.20 €. I will come back to try some mains but today I settled for a Latte and a freshly baked scone.

I really like this place. Coming back very often. Great food, always fresh and good quality. Staff could be more friendly but apart from this all good.

I’m going to be honest the two things that serve this restaurant well is the aesthetic and the fact it’s the only one of its kind ( health conscious )in town which gives it no real direct competition. The service and cleanliness let this establishment down . There doesn’t seem to be anyone “managing” the premises and each time I’m had to come up to the counter to follow up my order . There is no urgency , tables and floors are left dirty whilst the staff stand around behind the counter . Mastering the fundamentals of service and operational excellence is an opportunity for this establishment.

Fantastic food at reasonable prices. The potatoes were incredibly well cooked. The chicken burger was amazing, not bland at all. A local recommended this place to us and she was spot on!

Staff is lovely and the food it tasty. We had the chance to sit outside in a warm day and it was really nice. They have about 6 tables outside and they are protected by a fence with flowers. So even though you're close to the street you never feel that a car could hit you. The menu is very much Thai food but they have also buurgers and salads. Really nice experience overall.

This was a great little place that I almost didn't go into. The menu is varied and there is something for everyone. Potions were generous and prices were extremely fair. Interior is comfortable and the staff were good. While you can sit down inside, you order and pay at the till before they bring your food. Soft drinks can be collected from the fridge and anything else is brought over. There was a large group of us here and everyone finished their food and talked about how good it was. Highly recommended.

We went in without a booking but we got a table in about 10 minutes witch was great the food was lovely there was a nice atmosphere in the restaurant the service was only good probably because of new staff finding their foot we will go back again but come over and ask if everything is OK with your food or does anyone need a extra drink it makes the deference trying to catch someone's eye was default

Delicious food , cozy environment. Thanks for accepting our order literally 2 minutes before kitchen is closed, and food was served fairly quick. Only downside for the time was tiny flies in the air !

It was a lovely experience. The staff were very attentive,, the menu exciting, the food delightful and all four of us left an empty plate. The helpings were very generous and our table of four ate everything. We were all were full of praise for the quality of the food, and how the restaurant lived up to it's ethos. It had a happy, buzzing atmosphere, the prices were very reasonable and we will definitely come back again! Thank you to all the staff.

Brought my husband for lunch on a Monday BH. It was his first time at Wholesome Kitchen and he was amazed! Food, as usual, was delicious and plentiful. I had the balsamic chicken bowl and he had the crispy chicken satay. Both were tasty and well presented. Highly recommend the Wholesome Kitchen for a tasty healthy meal any time of the day.

Had the Beef stir fry, pesto rocket salad, and Thai Street noodles with tofu. All were excellent. Generous portions, good vibes, friendly staff.

We didn't have a good time here. Where to start? It was busy. The weather was poor, cold and heavy rain. We asked for a table for 2. We were told there was no room but we were offered a table under a canopy outside. We were hungry so we accepted this. As we chose our food we noticed customers behind us being offered seats inside. Perhaps it was because we were English, I don't know. Food choice didn't go well either. I went for a veggie burger. I asked the staff if it came in a brioche bun. She didn't seem to know! How strange. So I said, if it's brioche then leave it and I would just have the burger. You can guess what happened. Once outside under the canopy it became obvious it was also a shelter for smokers. Not pleasant environment to try and enjoy a meal.

What a lovely place. We were welcomed by this young lady and she was absolutely friendly and very helpful. She helped us to decide on the main course and food was delicious. She kept checking to see if everything was OK and when leaving of course we go some dessert. Thank you for the lovely customer service and amazing food. We will defo be back.

A group of four of us went to a restaurant and were asked to wait in line to be seated. After waiting for around 20 minutes, we were served our food quickly, although the prices were higher than average. Despite this, I found the food to be worth the cost. We ordered both hamburger and chicken burger and both were delicious and tender with no unpleasant odor. The staff were also friendly, but we encountered an issue with the lack of soap in the restroom. We went there early in 2022, during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and I asked the staff twice to refill the soap, but unfortunately, they did not. Besides that, I had a great experience at the restaurant.

We had delicious healthy food in this restaurant and were more than happy with the entire experience. The prices are very reasonable too for what you get. The staff are so friendly & helpful. Top marks all round.

First time in Mullingar and we made the best choice for lunch. The food here was really excellent . With lots of vegan options. There was even a vegan dessert 👍👍. Smoothies & shakes are also delicious 😋. The staff were really friendly and everything was very efficient yet not rushed. Highly recommended. (My daughter liked it so much she made a PicCollage but Google unfortunately won't let me post it - the review was actually from Aug 2022, I just hadn't noticed it was blocked)

Food was good, nothing exceptional, but it met the mark. They had a good selection of gluten free and other allergy sensitive options. Service was OK, nothing spectacular, but they did what was needed, and the food was ready very quickly. The atmosphere was nice and pleasant. Overall a decent stop for food.

Absolutely love this place, staff were friendly and helpful enough. Food was amazing!!! I've been here a few times now and have never been disappointed. I ordered the vegetarian Mee Goreng and crispy portobello mushrooms. Both were really good. Portion sizes are a good size too.

Coffees were lovely and coconut milk was available- a plus. Peanut butter & almond cookie and oat cookie was really yummy. Lunch- not so good. chicken breast was diced in large pieces and it was very dry, tried my best but couldn’t eat much of it. Rice and sauce were pretty nice. Mum ordered a noodle dish which had good flavour but the chicken was quite dry too but it was tasty. Decor- cosy and nice interior. Staff- okay

Prior to being an employee, I was a customer for 2 & half years. The environment is cosy and aesthetically pleasing (recommended for tinder pics). The service is warm and welcoming even at the busiest of times. The food is second to none in Mullingar for it’s quality, price and even for how fast the meals are served. I’m obviously a lot more biased now but I can honestly say that nearly everything is cooked and made from scratch with the freshest of ingredients by the exceptional chefs. Wholesome Kitchen is a business that also caters for vegans and celiacs. If you’re looking for a healthy but scrumptious, dining experience, I couldn’t recommend WK enough for you.

The place is really nice and the staff very friendly. Our entrees were delicious, the portobello mushroom and the soup.. however our main the plant base Burger wasn't great, very dry and just not great flavor. Hopefully they can improve that, everything else was great, and would come back to try something different.

This is an absolutely stunning restaurant. Had the burger and roast potatoes. Literally the nicest food I've had any restaurant in the last few years. Then, as if that wasn't enough, I received one of Ireland's largest bowls of ice cream and caramel sauce that has ever been served. It is 11/10! Fast and friendly service, stunning food and big portions. I will return!!!

Was very disappointed with what I ordered. My food was cold so I sent it back. It was obviously just microwaved because the chicken and potatoes were rubbery and the veg was roasting hot and soft. We ordered coffees which took 15 mins to arrive. We were tight on time so I didn't finish mine. My husband's food was lovely. It was our first time to eat here. I will try it again and hope for a better experience. The staff were lovely and the toilets were spotless it was just a pity that my food was mediocre.
