This lovely lake is well-known, I believe as a great place for fishing, walking and water sports. We stopped by on a gorgeous summer's evening for this fabulous photo opportunity. We will return again to explore the area more.

Lovely area. Has a playground area for the kids. Coffee van , plenty of parking and a lovely walk around the forest.

A great day out. With 6 different routes the longest being 2km you can spend the day exploring. There are plenty of places to stop and have a picnic whilst taking in the gorgeous scenery.

ALWAYS a super place for walking but really spectacular at the moment with carpets of bluebells! Drop everything immediately and go and see them... they really are a sight!

What a wonderful forest and a spectacular green integrated playground

Great park, plenty of space for dog walkers but be aware not everyone has their dog on a lead. Wear shoes that you don't mind getting muddy as some parts of the walk track are quite mucky. There is usually a coffee van on site and there are public toilets also up beside the castle. Great childrens playpark also and lots of free car parking (but obviously dogs aren't allowed in that section). Well worth a visit in Castleblayney.

Lovely loop walk. Easy going, parts can flood a bit!

Spent a couple of days in the area and visited Mockno and surrounding park. Beautiful area with lots to see. The park was clean and there were plenty of people around. It is a credit to the people of Castleblayney and obviously enjoyed and used by everyone in the area.

Lovely few options here, from walking, fishing golfing, camping and kayaking! Brilliant views and a lovely nearby island or two to walk.
