I recently chose not to renew my membership after 1 year due to the lack of maintenance on the gym/ pool and the poor customer service. The sauna was off 3 visits in a row so I asked at reception and was told they were waiting on a part. After another month and nothing changes I shared a message on insta asking for an update and was told it was the members fault for pouring water on the sauna. The way they interact with their customers is disappointing as the gym and building is great and has so much potential. I now pay twice as much for another gym but they have fantastic customer service and its well maintained. I wish the team at Iveagh and members all the very best, but I won’t be returning

This place !!! Toilets are always smelly and not clean. Showers area needs a good scrub, sink always always covered in facial hair, shaving foam or tooth paste. Changing rooms floor very often can surprise whats on it, same as inside of the lockers. The pool very often smells like urinals. There is more private trainers than members on the workout floor who stay on machines for ages talking with their customers while i wait for the machine. The gym floor has more decoration lights than xmas tree but no free water available for members. But hey you can buy bottle if you like, in the reception. Workout area has been reduced to open private gym but membership did not reflect same. After I ask about it very angry lady in the reception shouted at me that new/more equipment was placed all over the floor, how much more space i need. The playboy who runs the place have zero respect for members !!! No manners and or class !!!! Listening to how he speaks to customers is very very sad actually. They charged me for membership wrong amount and when i pointed it out to receptionist they were very unhelpful and slow investigating it, also did not want to take blame for their mistake. The facebook account only shows positive comments, all negatives are filtered and removed. There is always smart comment to all negative reviews like the whole world is against them..........where it should only give them an idea what areas they could really improve. Pity that place is gone to waste.

The gym is ok… but the blond lady at the reception is always moody…. On the first day I was there she refused to take my payment because I wanted to join the gym, with the excuse of the till is already closed at 7:30 PM… and today 17/10/2022 she was extra crazy invading the masculine change room screaming and saying “the gym is closed you guys need to leave now!”… it was embarrassing it was 9:00 pm I and my friend were just putting the clothes in our gym bags. The first month there and I will change gym. I had a very bad experience with that reception lady 👩... She desperately needs some training...

Sauna is never working properly. They need a new machine. They'll say it's working and you won't break a sweat for 20 minutes. Also men's locker room can be really dirty. I understand it's a gym, but for the price this place really needs to step up

Wouldn't recommend the gym, the owner is extremely rude and has terrible customer service. Reported an incident where an injury was sustained on the steps outside the premise just to let staff know it could be a hazard in the future in case somebody else fell and received a response from the owner detailing the steps were up to industry standard, Going in depth about how perfect the steps were. Whether they're "up to industry standard" in your opinion or not someone has sustained an injury on your premises have some decorum to not get so defensive and take the genuine feedback on your establishment without being rude.

English Female Manager is extremely rude and disrespectful. She likes to shout. Check other Google reviews , they have experienced the same My friends locker was broken into and he had his wallet stolen. Steam room / locker room and shower areas are filthy. No notification given when membership is due to expire.

The customer service and management is awful, I signed up one week before the pandemic and asked them that I didn't feel safe when everything started and I used only one week the gym, so wanted a refund of my 6 months membership. I requested that and they told me wasn't possible and the only option would be to pay 10 euros per month to freeze my membership, so WHAT? After that week they closed the gym due to Covid-19 and they didn't refund me the money. They should take care of their customers. A business is not only money is also about listening to your clients and understand their exceptional situations. Now that they've just opened, I asked them to transfer my membership to someone else so that person could take advantage of it and they could have potentially a new customer but they don't offer any options, they said is not possible, so is crystal clear they don't care about anyone, only to get money from them Obviously I'm not going to recommend this gym to anyone else as is a completely scam and they don't offer any options even taking into consideration customer exceptional circumstances.

Staff are friendly but the management is awful and the equipments are not well maintained. The champions ladders, locker room sink, toilets and other equipment have been out of order for over a year and haven't been fixed. One of the sections in the gym has now been closed off for use and is used solely for personal training. Wouldn't recommend this gym as the monthly price (60 quid) is expensive for what you get.

I love the gym, just what I like less is that is the gym closes before its close time. 9PM max should be 10PM or if, 9PM it should be the time I was leaving Sauna or Steam room , AT LEAST. IS WAY too early for people that work, etc. - is sometimes hard to manage with the job. Regards the space is awesome.

I was a member of this gym for about 8 months before cancelling my membership. This is a terrible gym with one of the worst management teams that I've ever had the misfortune of coming across. Overpriced club with poorly maintained premises and an avaricious attitude towards members. Stay away if you can.

This gym is not functioning properly. On the website it says that it closes at 10PM but it actually closes at 9PL so we pay for a service that is not as good as you think it is when you pay for it. On top of that the blond lady in the entrance stormed inside the men locker room and screamed at us like we were kids she was scolding. This is an unacceptable behavior to talk to clients like this and errupt inside the men locker room. It was 8:59 which is right before closing time and we were about to leave. I didn’t know that leaving on time was an unacceptable behavior but I know that i have never been talked like this by anyone. I wouldn’t recommend this gym.

Debated joining this place but refuse to step foot in the premises after seeing the way the owner or whoever it is responds to negative reviews on here. Some people shouldn’t own businesses, you’re clearly one of them lol.. even if you disagree with the review or person, the strategy of attacking people publicly from your company page is never going to work in the long run. Unfortunate as the gym looks nice!

This is the first review I've ever written but I feel I have to as I was mistreated. I would not recommend this gym. I went to sign up for the gym at 7 am this morning. I am a student and asked for the student price for the membership. The receptionist refused that I sign up as a student even though I showed him my student card and I showed him my proof of registration for the year. I even showed him emails I received from my professors dated from yesterday and the courses I was signed up to. He started screaming at me telling me that if he put me on the student membership his boss would take the membership price from his salary. I felt disgusted by the costumer service and signed up for flye fit gym instead.

It’s very dirty. Potential to be a great gym but it’s justt not looked after. Pool/spa area are particularly filthy. I definitely wouldn’t recommend going there with any sort of open cut on your body as would definitely get infected. I hope staff take these recommendations and make this business a far more profitable one.

It was a terrible customer experience, I am a member of this gym and when I registered I didn't need to book anything for trial and I just walked in to explore around and registered myself, after that I asked for a friend to be my guest for trial, they said she can come in weekdays, and when we arrived they refused her saying that she has to book it online first, but the main issue staff was so rude, speech style was threatening, he said it is a 5 star gym if you don't like it don't join, we said it has nothing to do with stars, it has to do with attitude and customer experience, and he shouted byeeee and waved at us, absolutely not recommended!

Gym is ok, equipment wise, nice swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna, very well located, however it lacks on the basics of higiene/safety measures.. There are no hands sanatizers or tissue to wipe the equipments berofe and after using it.. I have been going there for over a week now and since day one there wasnt any.. Already asked at the reception but nothing has changed..Also spoken to a few ppl that uses the facilities a while longer and they said it seems to be a recorrent issue.. Even though covid restrictions have been released we still have a pandemic going around anda virus easily spread therefore the basics measure should continue.

I would say half good, and half “have to improve”. Usually quite, almost never packed. Opening hour are not the best, but suits most of people. The worst part: only one place to get water, at reception in the main floor. Generally I like the place.

Great transient club. Come to Dublin for work every so often and need a place to work out. So many clubs charge extravagant sign-up fees on top of your one day fee. After all that, it could be 70+ euro for a one day pass. Iveagh is €20 flat. It’s clean, mostly ok machines and equipment, and it’s in an old bath house, which is cool—I love gyms in old buildings.

Will never recomend join it. This is an overpriced gym, that promotes discrimination, old machines, no water fountain, no hand paper to wipe machines after use, you have to bring your own one, no hidroalcoholic gel, old fashion member card to check in, no card-no access, no towel-no training policy but no one is bringing it even during COVID times. Half of the rooms and equipment cant be used, one for personal trainìng only even if its empty, other room for females only, fully equiped cant be used if you are not a lady even if its empty. A disgrace that gender segregation and discrimination is still allowed in Ireland.

Fantastic place. Friendly and helpful staff. A whole floor full of brand new cardio equipment. A good selection of weight machines, lots of different types of free weights, enough space, usually not too busy. Clean.

Pros: A wide variety of equipment nicely spaced out. Gym was centrally located. The jacuzzi tub was nice as well as the pool. Cons: It's in need of repairs and felt dirty. No water stations to be found anywhere. Lots of signs posted to wipe down machines though the paper towel dispensers were all empty and there weren't any spray bottles in the holders. The showers do not have any soap. The steam room was extremely dirty/mildewy/moldy.

Closes early 9pm on weekdays, and 6pm os weekends/Holidays, so the time I arrive in the week is already closed at weekend, that we have more free time to enjoy exercising and using facilities, so it makes no sense for me. Need some renovation, and some spots to be fixed, like a leaking through a hole in the ceiling of small weights room. No filtered water for clients, you have to buy or use tap water from toilet. Lockers/shower and toilets are a bit better, but still lack some frequent cleaning, same for equipments and general areas as the jacuzzi. In the other gyms I have been, they always had someone cleaning equipment and toilets/showers during the day, and had paper and spray bottles for us to clean by ourselves, that on Iveagh you need to bring a towel to clean stuff, no paper at all, or even enough sprays or bins around. The vending machine is nice, and there's lots of cardio equipment, third floor has this amazing architecture and ceiling, but second is kinda low and dark. The studio could be more cozy and warm, and advise the classes times (when it is not available to use). The access to pool/jacuzzi/sauna's area is clever, but if you find any problems you have to say when living the premisses, no staff around usually. It's nice in general, I love using jacuzzi and the toilets could have another vending machine for water, towels, snacks and small stuff, because the only one is before the card access. I understand that taking care and managing a place this size and age can be challenging, but for the price I would appreciate more attention to details, longer open time, and a cleaner place.

Rang up to check before I went to the place to see if me and my other half could go to the swimming pool as we where up for the day, walked for 25 mins to be told that we can’t access the place, when we were told we had a slot for a certain time, manager was ridiculously ignorant and laughed in our face when I said it wasn’t good enough. Sums up this gym when it’s ran by a ignorant fool with terrible customer service wouldn’t even consider joining it as a member!

It is a bit pricey, but what you get is a good variation of modern equipment, great staff & trainers, pool, sauna, steam room, (be nice if they opened the plunge pool), lots of free classes a week, most importantly it's never overcrowded even at peak times so you can do a relaxing workout, plus it's in the city centre.

Removed a star because the opening hours are pure bollox. They use every excuse to shut the place early or close completely, for example Good Friday, which is no longer a public holiday in Ireland, they closed at 6. Really? What about the people who work (because its not a holiday) and want to go to the gym afterwards? Total BS ... Original: Love the facilities, especially the newly upgraded pool. Only cons are the lack of water fountain in the pool area, and the music selection blasted out in the gym makes me almost get sick in my mouth. Imagine cheesy teenage disco times infinity. Also the limited weekend opening hours are a bit scabby for the price.

Not to mention the place has very good looks and one of the most important things... I was going after work and there weren't too many people. Also the fact that the vending machine accepts debit card tapping is a very good plus.

Powerlifter review. The place is well equipped for powerlifting, enough squat racks for everyone there to use. There was 8nly one bench for a barbell which was problematic since the squat racks have raised wooden platforms in them and you therfore can't drag a bench in there and use it safely. Second problem I have with the place is that I was asked to put my shirt back on when I was doing the bench press. The safest way to do the bench press is shirtless as your skin will stick to the bench allowing to properly utilise your leg drive without sliding. The place therefore seems more concerned with their members sense of decency than their safety. All that being said it's a good gym with good equipment that I can recommend.

😠 The facilities are amazing and there is an amazing range of equipment available but unfortunately that's as far as it gets. We start from when they decided to "renovate" the spa area and never mentioned any expected date to reopen. Instead, they would always say that "next month" it would be ready...

🫤 Could be very good place to work out and relax but the price for monthly membership and joining fee ! It is rediculus ! Double the price then elsewhere and yes the other places I have been in Dublin had the swimming pool and saunas 😁
