Any gym should always offer a free day for someone to inspect it and try the machines, not ask them to pay half the month subscription for a day...

The equipment and the space is fine, not during peak times though, but I try to avoid those times. But the staff - especially the reception staff is well undertrained. No meet and greet whatsoever. Deliberate blanking and ignoring. Really bad. Working in the gym requires well developed people's skills. Most of staff in that gym doesn't have it. It make you feel very unwelcome. 2 or 3 of them are very friendly. Others need a proper training in interaction with the public.

It just a gym... Exactly as advertised. Do not count for any upgrades, saunas, pools etc. However, as a gym it is very alright. Lots of equipment, reasonably placed on 2 floors with smaller areas for your cross-fit, cardio and stretching. Equipment is not new but all works. Plenty of free weights and machines for all your body parts. There is also a public carpark with 2 first hours free. But mind you, 3rd hour is an extortion at 4€. No showers and changing areas at the moment, which may make your life problematic if you are going to work after your workout. Public lockers are available throughout the gym though. Plenty of cleaning stations. If you are looking just for a gym this place might be for you. Prices are reasonable and acceptable, on a similar level to other just-gyms.

I paid for an annual membership in advance. Now that gyms are allowed to reopen and Ben Dunne Sandyford has no plans to reopen, I've requested a refund over 3 weeks ago only to get a late response that it would take at least a couple more weeks for this to be processed. If they're not reopening, it's my right to have a refund, they are just holding my money. Do not trust this gym, as you may have your money stuck with them even when they're not providing a service.

For the price it is great. It's usually busy but you should be able to get your workout done. Machines are good. Good space for free weights. Some of the treadmills are noisy but there are plenty to choose from. Some of the hot showers drip cold water from the ceiling but pressure is good.

Great gym, loads of space and equipment.

The facilities are good but it's very often overpopulated. The price is of course extremely cheap. For such a big gym, the staple exercises are not accounted for - only 3 squat racks I believe, only 1 proper space for deadlifting, etc. The changing rooms are fine and the showers too but the overpopulation of it is a big turn off if you have to wait for the machines. Nonetheless, for its value and if you are fine waiting, you should give it a go.

Gym is always clean, has a great selection of machines & lashings of hot water for showers. Changing rooms are spacious with a large supply of lockers - bring your own lock. The Air management could be better, especially in summer.

Basic is what I can say for here. A good bit of equipment there is only one of and there is in no way enough benches if you want to do free weights instead of a machine. It's set over 2 floors but upstairs is more geared towards a women's part of the gym and has the ONE classroom. Classes you need to arrive very early to get into them. It's a gym that you get what you pay for. You pay cheap you're gonna get cheap.

It was probably one of the best gym in D18. It was pocket friendly and totally value for money. Couldn't find anything as good as it for 25 euros/month subscription. The location was perfect and well connected with bus and Luas. It's a pity they have decided to close it down permanently from 24 Dec, 2021.

Cheap. Clean showers and changing areas. Good range of equipment but free weights area does get busy. Dirty equipment- it doesn't seem to be cleaned and there is no facility to spray and clan down after use like other gyms.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Loved it! This was my first time here. The place is spacious, you can rent everything here. Staff is friendly and helpful. First time registration requires one to listen to video (registration eform) and then submit some basic details. There is a coffee dock, you can get water, kambucha as well. I h...

πŸ‘πŸ‘ The best gym I have been to in Dublin. Brilliant equipment available for all types of abilities. There are so many variations of machines making it easy to find something during peak times to use. I personally go to one of the personal trainers in the gym (jay) and have done for a long time now. On...

😠 I never give bad reviews (you can see this via my profile). This gym however lied to us about membership in writing. We were told we could have a 30 day rolling contract, as we only wanted it for 2 months due to moving house. We were told we could just let someone know and they'd cancel. This wasn't...

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Took part in the fight camp for the last few months and enjoyed it immensely. The coaches were incredibly hands on and spent time with each participant to help them improve each session. My fitness has never been better and I loved every minute. I would highly recommend Headon Boxing Academy. Thanks...

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Not all CrossFit gyms are equal! I dropped in for three weeks while in Ireland on business. I contacted Colm and said I would be splitting my time between CFI and a gym by my office in Kildare and that I train six days a week. In my seven years of being a traveling drop in, this is the first time I...
