Big gym has plenty of equipment you can have an excellent workout. Is also minimalist without sauna or pool for the price is good. 5 stars! Whatโ€™s unexpected, not all Gym employees have the commune sense to treat gym members with respect. Some gym employees have a nasty attitude towards me as a gym member they were unfriendly, they could use a reality check on dropping there attitude. If the business was to address this issue it will be a 5 star gym.

very poor and unfavourable experience of higher management/ customer service, Twice over charging membership under one name for a substantial period. They took quite a long Time to reply and did not kindly or proactively offer a solotion to refund these charges or even add credit to the account.

Wouldn't kill them to turn on A/C once in a while. Especially when busy.

Too busy. Certain networks donโ€™t work so donโ€™t hope you will be able to watch Netflix while on the treadmill and the worse: thereโ€™s no proper ventilation so it is boiling in the summer. They should get some fans asap.

This gym has two floors and is full of cardio and strength equipment. I'd say it has a bias towards cardio equipment, especially in comparison to FlyeFit (FF). If you're purely interested in building strength, then FF might be better for you. Unfortunately, I had to cancel my membership here as FF opened in Finglas, and their opening hours are better for shift workers who prefer uncrowded gyms. This gym closes at 22:00, versus FF's 23:30. Furthermore, they just announced that their Swords branch has converted to 24 hours, with more to come. FF's weekend hours are also superior: they close at 19:30, versus Ben Dunne's closing time of 17:30. Even if I finish work at 16:00 on Saturday or Sunday, I won't make it on time to the gym. The gym is always busy. I've been at the gym at 21:00 multiple times, and every time the weights area has been full of people, with each squat rack taken up by someone on their phone. Yes, 21:00! If you're an early riser, then this probably isn't an issue for you. However, I'm not and never will be. Ben Dunne should increase their opening hours to accommodate people with different lifestyles.

Hello, I'm a a 30 something male, who has been using your facility on a daily basis for years at this point. I must admit it strikes me only recently I've been an object of discrimination! Let me explain. I have a partner a female who uses the same facility. And she keeps coming out of changing room looking refreshed and with perfect hairstyle, meanwhile my hair style is usually of a style broomstick or a Chucky doll. ( I would like to pint out that I use your facility in the mornings, before work, so I end up looking like I mentioned before for the rest of the day in the office). There reason is that the only way I can dry my hair is under hand dryer ( which from the definition is designed to dry your hands not the hair). I'm a problem solving person, so I came up with the solution and brought my personal hair drying device to the facility. Unfortunately I discovered to my utter dismay that there was no single outlet I could contact my device. There is no satisfactory hair drying product on the market powdered by battery. I you can see I 've tried to solve this predicament to no avail and the only option I ha e left is to contact the administration team of this facility and ask to provide either heir drier or an outlet and hope you would understand my point. Thank you, your loyal customer.

A large gym, but too many people and the equipment is outdated, it would use more modern machines for pulleys, not lines for back, biceps or chest exercises. Maximum weights up to 40 kg as in a beginner's school which makes you think is it a gym or a club only for beginners? And finally, is it a professional gym and is it worth the money? It leaves a lot to be desired, which in 2022 is at least ridiculous because Bendunne is very poor at other professional Gyms. I am very disappointed because nothing has changed here since 2007 and it is even worse and less equipment than it was.

โ‚ฌ29.95 or just shy of โ‚ฌ360 per year for outdated and in many cases badly maintained equipment, missing parts to equipment that never get replaced ie carabiners that people steal and so people are left not being able to use the equipment. Dirty equipment and hardly anything to wipe them down with as blue towels were actually rwmoved from around the gym and so were many spray bottles and cloth towels. Rusty weight bars for benching and lack of enough dumbbellss of higher weights. The Green area for classes is far too small for a decent class. Only two water fountains that, sometimes work. This is a rip off gym and no wonder people are leaving to find other gyms. The owner clearly doesn't care about the gym and only is interested in a quick buck. The music, or lack of, is just terrible, no air conditioning either

Well I did really like this gym and was a member for several years and I was very happy with it. But half the reason I was in this gym was to use the pool and jacuzzis with my wife, the other half obviously being to exercise. I'm sorry but I'll never rejoin your gym now that you've removed the pool and jacuzzis. I think it was rash and short-sighted decision for a very permanent change, and it's really disappointing. Swimming pools are open again and are operating within the safety guidelines. If they can do it, so could you have.

Very spacious gym with lots of equipment. Due to the size it rarely gets too busy and don't usually have to wait long for a specific piece of equipment. The price is good compared to other local gyms. The area for floor work is quite small and often gets taken over by classes, and there aren't many cable/pulley machines. There has been no air conditioning over the summer so it can sometimes be too hot. There are rails to chain your bike to but there's no covered bike parking, which is something that would be appreciated.

Great gym but miss the pool and sauna being there and the lack of wifi like almost all other gyms in the city and being unable to get coverage for workout music purposes. Getting heavy sessions in though and thats all that matters

Great gym but can be busy in the evenings. One thing that definitely is missing is the pool that existed in the past

NORTHWOOD .It isn't as bad as some people say. You pay a Euro a day. Water fountain is back although they need more. Showers are being reinstalled. They do need to start classes again for the benefit of the people and also staff who have trained hard to be gym instructors and not cleaners.

Old machines. Worst gym I have ever went to. Staff is unprofessional. Conducting some very bad practices when it comes to the gym subscription. Worst of all, it is dirty and smelly. Would suggest to not take showers there as you could get more than a Covid19.

Fantastic gym,on arrival I was greeted by Jenny who made it clear she was there to help.Jenny was so kind and polite as she showed me around the gym, introduced me to other members and assisted me when I needed it.The gym has atleast 2 of every bit of equipment and a huge amount of dumbells ranging from 1-40kg.Manager's Jenny and Matthew make sure the gym is always clean and presentable.Jenny and Matthew work extremely hard to ensure everything has a place and is easily accessible.Thers a huge amount of classes on throughout the week witch staff always take part in.I would highly recommend this gym and I can't think of any better Managers to run the place.

Very good gym. It's massive, it has lots of machines and training material. The only disadvantage is the temperature. It's always freezing.

  • 5/5 Maciej K. 4 months ago on Google
One of the largest gyms I've been to with great selection of free weights and machines. Temperature is just right (Nov), no bad smells, background music levels are grand - you can find quieter spots if needed. The equipment is clean and plenty of gymgoers sanitize equipment after use. Lockers are freely available but you have to bring your own padlock to lock it securely. There is plenty of vending machines with water, isotonic drinks and towels. Inside the building you will also find a cafe/shop with protein and a barbershop. No need to be a member to access these though. Staff is polite and helpful. Although busy so sometimes hard to find on the floor. The gym rarely seems too packed, you will always find a free spot to train/exercise. Overall recommend.

Gym great, equipment too, very well done for cleaning and sanitisation. But showers no.... Feeling a bit like you are outside, very cold feeling. But, I came for training and I am very satisfied with gym.

This place used to be great with pool, saunas & jacuzzis. Now its just another regular gym, nothing fancy, for a great price nevertheless

A good gym with lots of space and equipments. Kind of affordable although I would have wanted a little cheaper. Due to Covid reopening the prices increased. 29 Euros per month no contract is still good. I would have wanted to see more equipments as well to target different muscle groups but all in all well.

Rejoined this gym recently and they have really adapted well with covid. The old pool area has been converted to another exercise area. With this, all equipment is safely spread out. I've never felt worried or concerned about people being too close etc

Lovely place to workout, it's spacious and have enough equipments/machines so you aren't waiting long for someone to finish with one machine. It's close to my house and its membership price is reasonable and affordable

Breath of fresh air in the pandemic filled clown world we're living in now. Highly recommend, only thing that it would make it better would be a sauna. Hint hint ๐Ÿ˜‰

Plenty of space, lots of equipment especially heavy lifting. Competitive membership fees. Music form the speaker could be a bit more diverse though lol

Big gym, lots of racks and machines. My only complaint is the dumbbells... 40kg is far too light, please get some 50's at least! Other than that It is solid.

Fantastic gym with very professional, friendly and helpful staff. Both managers and PT's go out of there way to help, guide and offer advice because they are so obviously interested in everyone's progress and safety. Gym is always clean to a really high standard too. Really loved when they had a pool and didn't think it would last long without it but the work , Jennie, Matthew, Carl, Eric and Ciaron put it makes it a fab and its now my happy place . Could do with more classes doh , and they all have some great ideas so Ben start listening to your staff

๐Ÿ˜  Itโ€™s such a shame that a beautiful facility is so poorly run. It is absolutely disgusting how dirty it is. The swimming pool is always freezing. The ladies locker room smells of damp sewage and urine, the showers are not working or too cold and there is mould on the tiles ๐Ÿคฎ the jacuzzi & steam room...
