Called in today as I was close by in Dublin. Dave, the owner, was so helpful. Had a fly rod and reel in the car but wanted a cheap fly line to fish for a few hours whilst waiting for daughter at a concert. Dave gave me the line alright, along with backing attached, loops, and even a spool, but only charged for the line! The line was only about 20 Euro. He then told me the closest place to go fishing, how it was fishing, and the best beat for success. He even knew the guy I was out fishing with on the Melvin Open a week ago, so knowledgeable about fishing in Ireland. 5 star experience. Wish I could've stayed longer to browse as the shop is an Aladdins Cave of tackle. So well stocked but really reasonable prices. I will without doubt be back. Thanks Dave. Amazing service.

Very good online presence and customer service. I had ordered an item online that was missing a piece. Contacted Southside Angling via email and got response within an hour. Rang up the shop looking for advice on a thermal suit, The bloke who answered gave me some good advice and recommendations, and he said it would be with me by monday (I ordered friday) But it ended up coming next day. Pretty impressed with how quick it came, would recommend shopping here

Avoid online shopping with them! Every time I ordered online with them there were troubles. Recently made on order, waited a month to get a confirmation email, but the items still not delivered. They arent responding to emails also! Safe your money and go elsewhere. So many great fishing tackle shops out there. Avoid!

Great shop, lovely staff, very knowledgeable, helpful, patient and friendly staff. Which was great for me, as I was buying fishing line to use to make beaded jewelry. Fishing line was very inexpensive / cheap compared to the same companies making fishing line to make jewelry with. In some cases upto 75% cheaper, which I think is brilliant. Only one tiny complaint. I wish the shop was nearer to where I live. I can't recommend this shop highly enough!!!!!

One of the best tackle stores in Dublin with Henry’s and Rory’s right behind. They didn’t have a telescopic rod I was looking for but bought some other tackle and lures. Staff are friendly and helpful. Overcharged me on the rod holder despite telling them the cost on the item, it’s only 2 euros but it is the principle.

Wonderful service and a great online service and website the angler has all he needs to shop in this Aladdin's cave. Parking near the shop can be an adventure but you will find a spot with a little bit of patience. If you are lucky and the shop is not too busy, you might be offered a tea or coffee. Wonderful tackle shop!! I was in the shop today 23July 2022 and it is still the best for service, genuine kindness and expert advise whatever branch of angling you need assistance on. Too many nice things to see and buy but the range is huge. I spent time looking at the angling items on their superb website before the visit and it is great that stock levels are given for every big item of tackle. If they have not the item in stock they will get it for you and have it delivered to your address asap. They guarantee a next day service on everything ordered online. Brilliant!!

Best fishing tackle shop ever. Service is unbelievable. Helpful with any emails ever sent. fast reply. Delivery extra fast. And they even throw in the odd bits here and there if they don't have what you've ordered. My husband has been in many a fishing shop could spend 302 euros and they wouldn't drop off the 2 euros. Its about getting customer's returning and southside will get our custom all day long 👌💯
