I had never been to a Rowing Club before and I wasn't sure what to expect. I had heard stories that they train ten times a week, that you had to be six foot, and drink Pimms all the time. When I showed up in August for the adult Beginners Training Camp, my mind was put at rest - we were eleven total beginners, all shapes, sizes. We were treated very well by coaches, who showed great patience and experience. It was great fun. I've been rowing for two years now and I'm really loving it. I train five times per week - not because I have to, but because I love being on the water. Facilities are amazing - some of the boats cost over 20k. The gym is good, but it gets crowded on weekday nights from six onwards. They're a great bunch of lads at Commercial - everyone has gone out of their way to encourage & make me feel welcome. I hope I can return the compliment to the next batch...

This place has a training facility for rowing and a gym in the ground floor of the building. The upper floor has a hall room which can be booked for events. There are toilets, open bar and kitchen facilities available with the hall booking.

Lovely venue for various functions and events and also has a bar. Great views of the river out the back. Very scenic location. Easily reached from town via a variety of buses.

I went to commercial rowing club for the Durga puja festival. There's a parking space at the club, which is paid parking.

Arrived at night in Pitch black and didnt know if it was open. Isolated spot so didnt want to ditch the Taxi until 100% sure it was the right spot. Limited Beer on tap.Guinness was Good. Staff member was very friendly and chatty. Toilets clean as could be. Venue was spacious .

Great place as I row here. Really nice coaches and the scenery is quite good. Right across from the Phoenix park it's easy to access

Went to a 40th here.. it was great craic. Had the place rented and we played our own tunes and danced the night away. It was great... and LATE!!!

Amazing place for rowing

This place is in phoenix park alongside long meadows. This place provides club for public occassions but the place has very poor phone network, hence be prepared to see your phone network dropping. But very peaceful and beautiful place to visit.

You can book this place for any occasion like bday, anniversary parties, religious festivals etc.. it is near to city centre so easy to communicate..

My niece had her First Communion in the function room upstairs at Commercial a few weeks ago. We has about 30 kids and twenty adults. We decorated the room ourselves the day beforehand (i.e. balloons, party hats, hanging signs, etc). The kids had a ball. The adults made use of the bar area!! Many thanks to Dave and the friendly (& patient!) staff at Commercial. We'll definitely be back for our youngest's communion in two years.

Very friendly and welcoming, great coaches for juniors. Would recommend it for junior rowing
