One of the best beach in Dublin. It is a soft white sand beach. You will find it crowded on summer weekends. Best time to visit is during the hide tide period. Best beach for family weekend day along with kids. There are couple of public washrooms and parking for cycles available at the entrance There is also a walkway to walk towards Howth station. There is limited parking space beside the road. But you can park the vehicle at Sutton station and walk towards the beach.

Very cute beach. We had a random heatwave in Ireland so it was the perfect place to be during that time! Easy to get to and right next to a train/station. There were also public toilets that were quite spacious and okay to use so that’s always a bonus. Cars could park alongside the road beside the beach so if you wanted to drive up it’s perfect. Would definitely recommend burrow beach to go to for kids, families, pets couples etc 🥰

Lovely weather that day, packed with fun and nice vibes. Not a single wasted patch of sand. Very cheap private parking as well .

The beach is one of the best in Dublin and it's in a quiet place! Extremely cold water but it should have a better structure for tourists because in the summer it gets crowded!

Sand is so soft. It's like being away on holidays. Beach does be busy on sunny days. We went in the evening about 7:30pm and it was still busy but easy enough to find a nice spot to enjoy the weather and the sun set.

Long brach with clear white sand. During low tide walk up to Howth and all it's amenites takes around 30minutes. There is not much in area- no restaurants. Only one pubic toilet/ changing room.

It's full of happening beaches to enjoy summer on sunny days. With you buddies. Have drinks and food. But don't forget to take your trash and drop it in the bin. Live DJ on some Night Google for ongoing events.

We love this beach and have been coming here for walks for years. The beach is mostly safe but does have dangerous currents in places which are marked on information signs at the entrance. The beach did claim the life of a 14 year old in 2022 and locals warn of the dangers of swimming there. Personally we find it ok as long as you keep close to the shore line. There is plenty of information regarding the danger areas at the beach. Also during the summer months the beach is lifeguarded, we’ve even seen them patrol the beach in kayaks from the water. On your average day during the year this beach will be quiet and there is plenty of parking along Burrow/Claremont roads. It’s popular with dog walkers and swimmers and if the wind is up and weather right the beach can even attract many kite surfing heads too. We have witnessed some Compass Jellyfish on the beach known to give a painful sting so bear that in mind. Unfortunately the good weather brings massive crowds too. Plenty of loud music, drinking and fighting reported during the 2023 summer with good weather spells. The close proximity of the beach to the Sutton Dart stating makes access very easy and convenient. The walks are great and when the tide is out you can walk right out and even get close to Howth harbour. Borrow really is one of Dublin’s little gems, it’s very clean and very peaceful well mostly. I recommend checking the tide times before going. Enjoy 🤙🏻

Lovely beach, good coast area not many people not crowded at all.. But the weather was not great at this summer, so may be busy on hot days. Good walk, kites, swim. Recommend🏊‍♀️☔

Ongoing illegal development at 10 Burrow Road. Fingal CoCo know all about it and are doing nothing. Why would anyone apply for planning when this guy is getting away with it. Monstrous 3000sq foot house, no planning among other planning breaches. Went to fingal and they said an enforcer notice was issued but refused to show it to me as I didn’t have an appointment. Something fishy going on!!!

It was very quiet place and nice, we expected many people but there weren't actually too many, i suppose we were lucky. Also the water was clear and not too cold so we could bathe in it! it was a nice experience, just in the evening when we were living around 5, lots of kids were coming doing drugs and messing, not very reassuring.

This is the best beach in Dublin! Nice calm and somewhat warmer water in summer, prober sandy beach only thing that is missing is facilities like bathrooms. Residents are always annoyed by people using the back of their houses as bathroom but hey they got that beach for themselves the whole year its okay the one or three days other people come and enjoy it.

Fantastic long beach on a hot summer's day! Goes between Howth and Baldoyle. 15 walk from Sutton DART station. Tidal sea front.

Really nice beach not that far from dublin city centre. Planety of space for everybody, defiantly come back here.

Lovely sandy beach and lovely water. We spotted a jelly fish and so did some other people. We visited this beach on one of the hottest days of the summer. We arrived at about 11.45am and left at about 3.30pm. There was a very different vibe on the beach when we were leaving compared to when we arrived. Lots of young people arriving in droves, playing loud music. We saw four guards patrolling the beach and confiscating alcohol. We saw a number of people drinking. I'm glad we left when we did.

👍👍 Portmarnock Beach is a Blue Flag beach in North County Dublin. Fingal Council have provided excellent changing facilites, public toilets, and patrolling lifeguards at setbtimes during day. Best time to visit is before 11am and after 5pm on weekends as its gets very crowded in summer months. The beac...

😐 I’ve seen better beaches. We went when the tide was high so there was no place to walk or roam around. The parking was free and there were a lot of fish and chips restaurants around. The port nearby had a good place to walk and enjoy the scenes. There was a playground nearby too
