Very nice hotel. Great location. Comfortable, well-appointed room. Good shower ( so important!!). The breakfast buffet is quite nice, especially since breakfast places in the immediate vicinity seem to open fairly late.

We stayed twice. The rooms were fantastic. Great climate control and showers. TV channels were extensive. Breakfast was the best I've had. Employees were very professional and accommodating. Bell hop service was perfect. The restaurant and bar had extensive selections. The hotel was in a great location for many activities. The price was reasonable compared to most other hotels in the area. Well be back.

This is a 4 star hotel which I reserved for top money with the hope that it would meet the expectations. Simply, it didn't, by far. This hotel could not make sure that the guests living in its room may get a table in its restaurant or bar. No walk in for the guests. Room make up is something going without saying in any good hotel. When we informed the hotel for the room makeup, they simply told back that they are quite busy and they couldn't be sure if they could make it up?? Room was quite small although it was a "deluxe" room. Why I am giving two stars? Location. The location of this place is tremendous as Dublin landmarks would be on walking distance from here. I wish the management all the best with hope that they improve their service inside out.

Rating: 5/10 Room: musty and feels old. Comfort: bed is pretty comfy, but noise from street and corridor is super annoying. Amenities: Wifi is fine. The room service options are lackluster. Location: well located, near Pearse Street and Grafton Street. Price: very pricey for what you get, even considering that it's in Dublin. Other: the lobby is pretty fancy but this doesn't match with the rooms at all.

Just returned from a one night stay here. Beautiful hotel, lobby area is stunning, and the staff were wonderful. Room spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds and nice modern bathroom. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent & a good selection of food for breakfast also. I honestly can’t think of a negative. We were sad to leave.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay here for a romantic valentines weekend 💕 our room was spotless and modern with a large comfortable bed, tv, toweling robes and slippers included.. we were very comfortable and had a great sleep with no noise. Bathroom was spotless too and the shower was fantastic and easy to use. we got dinner in the hotel restaurant we both got the salmon and although we waited a long time for service our meal was delicious and the atmosphere was enjoyable. I have to say the breakfast buffet was the standout, what an amazing spread. And so well attended. Breakfast was the best part! The coffee was nice too! We would stay again we had a lovely time well done to all the staff and thank you for looking after us

Very lovely stay at Trinity Hotel. The hotel is very well located in the heart of Dublin with easy access to transport. The staff is nice and friendly. I was able to leave my luggage during the day of my check out and pick it later which was very convenient for me. The room was big enough for me. I was able to bring my dinner from the restaurant to my room. I really enjoyed a lot the breakfast that has a lot of tasty products.

Front and bar staff lovely, beautifully maintained and decorated entry, bar, and breakfast area. Front staff was EXCEPTIONALLY helpful when we were unhappy with our room. Some Georgian Suites are overpriced and run down. The room we were moved to was smaller, but had a much better view, much quieter with better windows, gorgeous bath, and a really nice view.

We stayed in a few different hotels during our trip to Ireland in March, and Trinity City was by far our favorite one! All the staff we talked to during our stay were all lovely and welcoming, the room was spotless and spacious, and the food was delicious! The location was also super convenient - close enough to Temple Bar and everything, but quiet at night. We had a family room, and I really loved that we could push the beds together to make one big one. My 4-year-old really loved it as well. It was also really convenient that there were a few bus stops right across the street. We will definitely stay here again and recommend it to our friends!

Anton was the coolest front office staff. Makes your life very easy. You should be lucky to be checked-in by him. He knows hospitality. I slept very well in bed. But the water in the basin was constantly hot no matter what the setting was. But, there is no reason they should not have 3 or more staff in the front office. There is at least 10 times the staff in the kitchen and the entire day, the front office staff is present. I do not think it's right for the hotel to put so much pressure on guests as te desperately wants to check in. I wonder if they want to make extra money by frustrating the guests by confusing them with different choices? Also, for breakfast, there should be some more healthy options. I wanted to give more stars but the new trainee (woman) who comes in the mornings for two days now, was a challenging experience for me. I wonder if she travels at all as it does not look like she understands the hospitality industry. Hope she can experience something soon and will appreciate a good holiday.

This is a top class hotel in a great location. Our triple room was very comfortable and clean. The Buffet Breakfast offered everything we could have asked for. However what makes it truly first class is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. We were given a very warm welcome by the reception (Brendan). The staff in the breakfast room were attentive, efficient and friendly - nothing was too much trouble and everything was done with a smile. And finally, when we realised we had left something behind, the cleaning staff dutifully handed it in and the front office staff (Carolina) cc-ordinated with us for a speedy and painless repatriation. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so enjoyable.

Lovely hotel with beautiful decor. Room was comfortable and sized right for 2 people. No AC but we were provided a fan and that helped a ton. Good distance for walking to Trinity College and the surrounding area. Yummy breakfast. Hot water was hot and the water pressure was great!

Just stayed here for the 3rd time over 5 or so years. Will continue to return, it’s a great spot. Very central location, walking distance to most things in the city centre. The staff are lovely and friendly. The beds are super comfy and the air con in the rooms really helps you to have a great nights sleep. The rooms are clean and spacious. The toiletries are well stocked and the handmade soap company ones are gorgeous! My only criticism on this most recent stay would be the one broken elevator and other extremely slow one…waited 10 min for a free one sometimes with covid restrictions on social distancing inside them.

Great location, easy access walking to the city centre and attractions. Room was quite small and the tea bags weren't refreshed after the room was cleaned so we had to call reception. On the second day the body wash bottle was taken even though it was half full which was a bit weird. Restaurant has no vegan breakfast options so we had breakfast outside. Friendly staff there. Our radiator didn't work and it was minus degrees outside so we got a plug in one. Later we saw another plug in radiator being taken up in the lift so it seems like an overall problem with the radiators.

Check in was a breeze, valet service was so convenient to use and took the pressure off us. They were very welcoming to my service dog. The room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant was beautiful and delicious. It's a great hotel to stay at in Dublin and Temple Bar area! Would definitely stay again!

I was disappointed with the quality of our room considering how much we had spent (very small bedroom, no TV remote, hole in the bathroom ceiling, cheap shower curtains and dirty grout), but when I complained the staff at reception were extremely helpful and professional. Particularly Brendan! He is an absolute credit to the hospitality industry. The lobby, bar, and communal areas downstairs are stunning. The hotel is also in a great location!

Do NOT stay in room 107! The hallway smells mouldy (triggered my asthma); and when you inevitably have to open a window you'll get to hear the sounds of the fire station directly adjacent. Breakfast of cold scrambled eggs was unappetizing to say the least. The good: staff were all friendly and kind, beds were comfy. The lobby, bar and restaurant were very pretty, and the location was excellent.

Excellent experience. All the staff where super nice and helpful. Beautiful room and everything about the hotel is perfect 👍 Fabulous courtyard to chill out and have a drink in the Middle of Dublin City. A big thumbs up to Gary the Concierge for going the extra mile! Food was outstanding. Highly recommend!

I was a bit concerned about the area surrounding the hotel as it was unkept. Once inside the hotel you forget all about it. Excellent service, lovely staff members and beautiful rooms. (Be sure to ask for one with a balcony). Great location allowed us to walk all through Dublin without using our vehicle. I loved the large lobby and inviting comfy chairs. Really great feel.

Check in went smoothly, although initially being put in a disabled room, was changed to room on 3rd floor and all has been great. Doorman greeted us, brought in our bags, super personality. Any staff encountered in our stay have been professional and friendly. Room is Comfortable and Stylish. Stayed for 2 nights. Close to all amenities in Dublin City.

Loved this hotel (decor is wonderful) and have stayed a number of times however disappointed that we were not informed of current building works in operation. In my opinion, Receptionists should clarify if guests are staying for work or pleasure, and allocate their rooms accordingly. What happened to good old customer care skills? Gone are the days when hotel receptionists actually communicated with the guests on check in, in terms of facilities and relevant information, other than giving a room number. Will find a new favourite in Dublin.

My husband and I had a great stay here. The Trinity City Hotel felt like pure luxury as soon as we arrived. At check-in, we were given a room upgrade and two complimentary glasses of prosecco. The rooms are spacious and up to date. It's located right around the corner from Trinity College and a short walk to Grafton Street where all the shops and restaurants are located. I don't give a 5-star rating because: (i) the fire alarm went off twice in the middle of the night because "a guess pulled it" and (ii) you can easily hear guests in the hallway. To end on a good note, the Christmas decor was just spectacular! Check out the pics.

I booked two rooms here, one for me, my husband and our kids, and another for my parents. We were in Dublin celebrating my graduation and my dad's birthday, so it was a special weekend. The staff were lovely and upgraded my parents' room at check-in. They also helped me conceal a gift basket that I had brought for my dad. The rooms were stylishly decorated and had tea, coffee, water, and an ironing board. My only issue was the rooms was the noise. I don't believe the windows are double glazed, and with the hotel being on a busy street, it was difficult to get a restful sleep. We also had some mould in our bathroom, which wasn't rectified after my husband complained. The food was lovely, and there was plenty of choice at breakfast. Unfortunately, they only have one brand of tonic water, and not a very nice one, so the gin and tonic wasn't drinkable. I would probably stay here again, however, I would request a room that does not face the street.

Although we did not stay at this hotel, I’m compelled to leave a review because of our exceptional experience with the staff there. We were unfortunately caught up in the riots in the city centre at the end of November and weren’t able to get back to our hotel - we stopped into the Trinity hotel to try to get a room (no luck) and then stayed in their lobby bar to try to wait for a cab to be available. At this point it was midnight and freezing outside and we were really concerned about where we would spend the night as the guards had advised there were rioters around and it wasn’t safe on the street. Although the Trinity was fully booked, the reception staff were so helpful and even called a nearby hotel for us to try and secure a room. Their bar staff were so kind and understanding and made us feel welcomed and comfortable despite not being official guests. And the very best of all was Peter the doorman - he was running around trying to hail taxis for us and others who were also stuck and giving great advice about possible alternatives or how to get out of the city. And at 1am he ran into the lobby to tell us he’d found us a cab - and we were able to get back to our hotel safely through the back streets and past the blockades! It was truly above and beyond and, as we promised him, we are definitely going to stay at the Trinity next time we are in town. So thank you Peter for your kindness and generosity and for helping us get back home safely, we will see you next time!

Great location, room was spacious and clean. View from the room was of a building site but that didn't matter to us. Breakfast had a wide selection of options available. Valet parking cost 23 euro, spaces are limited. Concierge was very helpful.

Beautiful Hotel In the heart of Dublin City. We were welcomed by Raluca who took such good care of us and made us feel so welcome. The rooms were lovely, spacious & clean. Hotel bar & cocktails were amazing. We had a great stay, and will be back.

We stayed here on the night of our wedding and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and lovely. I honestly couldn’t speak highly enough of the entire staff team. We got such a warm greeting from the point of when we arrived and for the duration of our stay. A special thanks to Maria who really went out of her way to look after us. Will make this an annual event to stay here as a result of the great experience.

We had two beautiful nights a few days ago in the Trinity City Hotel Dublin. The Hotel is amazing, very clean and our room was fabolous. :) The Breakfasts were really tasty and the Restaurant is beautiful. The Staff is very helpful and the service is perfect. Special thanks for Maria at the Reception and Anna Maria in the Restaurant! As we can we will go back. :)

The staff were so attentive professional and welcoming. They made our experience so special after being at home for over a year. We stayed in a room that had everything you could need with all requirements provided Really nice quality coffee, gowns, toiletries etc. Location perfect for any event. From when we entered the luxurious surrounding Phil the concierge parked the car and left the luggage to our room we felt like we had arrived!!!! The food was delicious, the cocktails were even better. Danny, our waiter, took such good care of us. All the management and staff deserve all our praise for both our stay and the year they have put in Best of luck going forward. I would 100 percent recommend this hotel.

The place is beautiful and the bed is super comfortable. We arrived late at around 11pm on a Thursday night, therefore the pubs nearby were either closed or full. Little did we know the bar in the hotel serves till 2, well in my case later… I’d like to think it was because of my birthday. Ha. The staff though are very welcoming, Thank you Joseph and Nino!!! You guys rock!

Great home base for a stay in Dublin. A few things were still closed from covid, but the hotel was a great place to be if we found a few extra hours empty. Hotel restaurant is very good, try the salmon. Close to lots of pubs, shopping, etc. Clean rooms and professional staff.

Location is good and room is nice but service is poor. We had to ask for extra shower gel, only 2 tea bags in room, only pizzas available for room service, everything has to be paid for up front drinks at bar, room service, lunch in restaurant….trainees on front desk and in bar - we asked for a larger shandy and an old fashioned but ended up with lager and lime and a whiskey and lemonade..gave up at this point. Nice hotel but poor service unfortunately..

Very nice stay for the most part. Rooms are clean and comfy. Bathrooms are a bit tired (could use upgrading perhaps). The bar and restaurant are lovely (great pint of Guinness for a hotel bar), and all the staff are friendly and helpful. A tiny bit inconvenienced due to one of our rooms not being ready for check-in until gone 5pm, but a minor gripe, as they securely stored our bags for us. A good, central location also.

absolutely loved staying at this hotel recently. brilliant location right in the centre of the city, really clean and comfortable room, food was perfect and all the staff were so lovely! would definitely recommend to others and stay here again in the future.

My flight was cancelled and all the passengers spent a night or several nights at Trinity City, all the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Despite the unfortunate situation landing me here, I enjoyed my stay and had no problems whatsoever. In particular, the night staff who helped everyone get their taxis to the airport for replacement flights and ensured we were well fed and watered after we arrived late in the evening made everyone feel more at ease and were patient with everyone who stayed up late trying to get in contact with the airline. Thanks for a great experience.

This is a lovely venue for Sunday lunch as long as you aren't in a hurry and can be very lazy. The staff are lovely but there are too few of them when you show up with a large group of women with a reservation! I had the fish and chips..the potatoes are not chips but huge chunks of roasted or fried YOKS .. I couldn't eat all of them. The fish was nice enough .. ... .just be aware its very heavily battered..... the batter I left on my plate weighed far more than the fish I ate! € 16.99. Wine by the glass a bit pricey, I did a bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc for €36 & it was lovely. I didn't like the coffee @€3.99....very bitter, I think the end of a pot. I thought the deserts at @ €10 were a complete rip off & wouldn't have thought about one even to share. Some in my group were not pleased with their meals, especially a chicken curry dish that had a fried battered chicken breast floating in the curry. It was so not appetising to say the very least & when do you have a fried battered whole chicken breast in a curry? We were told this was the hotel's curry dish. I think they need to look at what a normal chicken curry dish expectation is going forward. The staff were lovely and worked very hard, with that said, we waited so long fir service that we eventually had to demand service. Nice place..great staff..but very very slow service. The food from my experience is good & reasonably priced with the exception of SWEETIES...

I have never stayed as a guest here but I have had several delicious lunches in the Trinity City Hotel. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming. The decor is quite quirky but cheerful and Dublin is on your doorstep. Definitely worth a visit.

All really good apart from minor issues with service. We waited a long time in an empty bar to be served, there were lots of staff around. The room was cleaned but nothing (tea, coffee, water) was replenished and we asked at 7pm for things to be done but when we got back at midnight it hadn't been.

  • 1/5 Ciarán B. 1 year ago on Google
Had three experiences here. Not enough staff, - "we are busy" go to the bar attitude charged twice (myself and my colleague) only copped when walking out. From someone who has worked in the service industry - not good enough., in summary nice place' hire more staff and train them to deal with customers properly. Nice women in charge did her best but ultimately disappointed.

Fantastic room and breakfast! We needed a quieter room so we upgraded for €40 we ended up getting a balcony! It was incredible and we wished we had upgraded sooner. Photos included are from the balcony.

Great location. Bright rooms. Clean and modern bathrooms. However, the staff are less than helpful. Tried for over an hour to place a room service dinner order, as my companion and I were both ill with influenza. Kept getting transferred to the pub, where the phone was never answered. On another day, I called the front desk for a replacement hair dryer (we had to meet our tour bus in 25 minutes) and was told there was no one to help me. This morning I called the concierge to see if someone could bring us OTC medication from a nearby pharmacy. Was told I would have to go myself. Would not recommend staying at this hotel.

Beautifully decorated public spaces and very well located near everything! The bed was very comfortable, the room was a bit warm for us for October (we couldn't adjust in a standard room). The blackout curtains are amazing. Nice size room and bathroom, just a little bit of road noise and hall noise. Recommend!

Had a nice celebratory short break in Dublin and stayed in the Gregorian suite. Very nice decor throughout the hotel. One of the most comfortable king beds I have ever slept on. The hotel staff were very good at handling issues and recovering the customer experience.
