Dublin's Medieval over ground presence is there, if you know where to look. If you buy into the believe that there is nothing there you not not correct. So much of Dublins Medieval structures still remain, you just need to know where they are and what they look like! Note the Dublin City Medieval wall markers these are found all over the city and indicate surviving sections of old city. The City Council has also altered the colour of street pavements to show the line of the old walls. We have Cooke Street wall section and St Audeon's Gate, Lambe Alkeyy, Ship Street. But most importantly we have retained the medieval street sizes, you can still grasp the olde city. Plenty of olde Dublin still remains the fun is finding them and asking the right guides to show you.

We came across the wall as we walked from one attraction to another in the city centre. Like most medieval cities there's a piece of original wall to be found if you look hard enough. Dublin and Edinburgh are similar in this respect and both have markings or studs to indicate where the walls or gates once stood.

Good views of a piece of the Medieval Wall, more fragments can be views in St Nicholas Place a bit further down. Nice area where you can view the unfortunately derelict but beautiful Edwardian Iveagh Market built by the Guinness family. The area is very traditional and worth a visit

Great monument to Dublin's past. I was looking for more explanation of the history - I may have missed it.

It's a wall with a history. Not much more to say about it that that. It's worth visiting and reading the tourist information if you're passing (on the way to the Guiness Storehouse as I was), but not worth going out of your way for.

Unless you are already walking by this one is okay to skip. There is hardly anything there and other than appreciating how old it is, there is much to be desired

Crying shame we don't have city walls. Even if it were sections like in Waterford it would be great.

The wall stands tall in the middle of the town, some say if not for progress the old Dublin city wall would be viewable from space. Go see it.... Have a pint near by and don't piss on it

Is a nice historical place, all worth the visit as it is in the heart of Dublin. There are lots of places to visit around and also there are some more landmarks buildings to see.

I was a bit surprised to discover that the walled city of medieval Dublin had an area of less than one square mile. Unfortunately very little of the original medieval city remains and the last surviving section of the medieval walls above ground can be seen at Lamb Alley. As so little remains and as no real context to what is to be seen at the site it is not really worth a visit unless you are in the area.

Great old architecture being preserved! Interesting to see part of the old city of Dublin.

A little peaceful spot in a busy area, sunny day where people were chilling for a while, while the world kept moving, appeared time stands still here

Very short piece of wall, but at least it's nice that they kept some at all
