👍👍 Make this your first stop in Dublin. Such an informative and interesting tour! Richie was hilarious and so knowledgeable. He gave us a rundown of so much history, and pinpointed a ton of cool places to check out after the tour. He even had headphones so we can hear him from the back. Bring your walk... Make this your first stop in Dublin. Such an informative and interesting tour! Richie was hilarious and so knowledgeable. He gave us a rundown of so much history, and pinpointed a ton of cool places to check out after the tour. He even had headphones so we can hear him from the back. Bring your walking shoes and dress warm, it was a bit brisk in October and you're outside for the whole 3 hours.

We had a great and interesting tour through Dublin with Richie. Totally recommended! The only minus is that they hadn't enough tour guides that day, so our group was very big.

So so so recommend! This was as good, If not better than any paid tour. I've taken many free walking tours throughout the world and this was certainly the best I've experienced. Our guide was witty and extremely knowledgeable, loud voice, easy pace of walking, what more could you want? We did the 3 hr Southside tour. All pictures shown were taken during the tour!

Such a good tour - Robbie took us through the South side of Dublin, his knowledge of the city, engaging way of explaining the history, and his sense of humour were all fantastic. Robbie was even kind enough to give us some food and drink recommendations. If in Dublin, this tour is a must!

Well done, James! What an intro to the city. A good walk for 3 hours to get yourself in tune to the Dublin cityscape, and truly get to see a little everything, even giving great ideas for further exploration. You can really tell he enjoys what he does, and gets everyone nice and excited just to be a part of it. Thanks again!

We were lucky enough to have Rob as our tour guide today and equally lucky to have almost perfect weather at the same time. Rob was knowledgeable and engaging, paying attention to all members of the group. His sense of humour came across very well as he took us through the fascinating history of Dublin. Hugely recommended and thanks Rob for a great afternoon.

The best way to discover Dublin is definitely by having a tour with the Yellow Umbrella team! Conor with one “N” as he loves to explain, is an amazing guide, passionate and a Dublin lover! He will make this tour very interesting and will share so many jokes ! A very enjoyable tour, with a lot of surprises! We ended up singing Molly Malone in front of the statue which was an amazing time! The tour is very complete, you will learn a lot about History as well as myths and popular stories. This is a must! The team also offers other tours like Pub tours and food tours as well as a South and North tour in Dublin! Thanks guys it was great! Highly recommended !!!

One of the best parts of our visit to Dublin! We had Richie as our guide, and he was as entertaining as he was knowledgeable. The tour lasted about three hours (14:00-17:00), took us all over the city, and taught us a great deal about the history and culture of Dublin and Ireland as a whole (while making us laugh the whole way through). Would highly recommend for anyone interested in going off the beaten path, chatting at length with a local, and engaging with Dublin on a deeper level than the more touristy activities. 😄

Did the Southside tour today, which was a great way to see part of the City. James is a brilliant guide, both engaging and experienced! Definitely recommend this for anyone wanting to gain some context about some of Dublin's sights and history. Ps. You can pay by card as well as cash!

We went on the Northside free walking tour yesterday. The tour guide Jack Redmond was very knowledgeable and gave a brief insight into Irish history, the 1916 rebellion, the party Sinn Fein and what the conflict with Northern Ireland/the UK originated in, as well as future possible conflicts regarding Brexit. He also talked a bit about „the Needle“ where we started the tour and Georgian architecture, the Garden of Rememberance and the GPO. As it rained, Jack made sure we had some sort of shelter where possible. He‘s always up for more questions and made some jokes along the way. An amazing tour guide! We‘re from Germany, he was easy to understand, so I would recommed the tour to non-native speakers, too. You should probably be on a B1 level. Please note that the Northside tour is about the political background and Ireland’s past (as their homepage states) rather than sights and „fun stories“ of Ireland‘s capital city (I would rather recommend the Southside walking tour then!!). And yes, for those who are still wondering: of course it‘s not really „free“, you tip your guide at the end.

I had an amazing experience on the free walking tour in Dublin with Sam as our guide! Sam's knowledge and enthusiasm made the tour truly enjoyable. We visited iconic landmarks like the Spire, St. Patrick's Cathedral, and Dublin Castle. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Dublin. It's a great way to explore the city's history and culture. Thanks, Sam, for a fantastic day! And, later in the evening, we had an amazing pub tour with Martin too!

We met Kilian near st Stephen’s park. Not only was he animated and knowledgeable, but he gave an amazing perspective on the history and the culture in Ireland. An amazing guide with an excitement for his job. We all enjoyed his candor. Thanks

The walking tour was amazing, our guide was very knowledgeable and told us lots of stories about Dublin. He gave an insight into some attractive places less visited by tourists. We got to know about the history of Ireland and important sites of Dublin as well as about the Irish language. We also learned a few Irish words. Highly recommend the walking tour!

What a wonderful afternoon out to discover Dublin. We went on the Southside Walking tour with the spectacular Sam, who was absolutely wonderful. The tour was extremely informative and entirely engaging. I loved learning a few Irish words, and the “real names” of some iconic Dublin spots. Can’t wait to take another tour with Yellow Umbrella.

The best way to experience Dublin and learn the history from a locals perspective. I did the North side tour, James is an exceptional guide. Very informative. I opted to join in the local pub tour that even as well. Was a great way to meet other travellers and some locals and enjoy a real Irish pub experience. I highly recommend these tours. Thanks again for a fun evening.

A fantastic tour of the north side, with the loveliest guide ever - Karina! She is a historian and a Dubliner and it was a pleasure listening to her. Her attention to unique details and deep knowledge of history and art in the city made the experience unforgettable! It was an absolute pleasure talking to her, what an amazing and genuine person who is incredible at her job!

Took a tour today with Richie. I thought he did a really great job telling us the history of Dublin and Irish Independence. He was very knowledgeable, funny, and was eager to answer any and all questions. This tour is a must on your trip to Dublin! I recommend doing it on your first day so you can orient yourself to the town and get a feel for the things you want to do on the rest of your visit.

We enjoyed our free city south walking tour with Karina. A nice lady, very authentic, she showed us a great deal of culture in Temple Bar, including a visit of Temple Bar bar itself and Anna Liffey - very interesting. We were staying on Fleet Street and would have missed all the sights without her! Later she showed us the Castle and its chapel, both Cathedrals and some very interesting Viking sites which I really enjoyed. We finished the tour at Trinity College. The tour overran by about 30 minutes but it was absolutely fine by me (though perhaps mind the time in the future..) Yellow Umbrella itself is responsive and organised. I would highly recommend.

Richie is one of the best tour guides I had so far. Like worldwide. The tour was very informative but didn't bore me at all. He could answer almost all of our questions and spiced the tour up with some humor. I recommend it for anyone who wants to get to know dublin a little bit and move on from there with a lot of other recommendations.
