A very pretty cafe in a fabulous location. You can park at the Dublin Zoo carpark, and the Tea Rooms are less than half a kilometre away. We were there on a Sunday morning and were surprised to find the place packed with a long queue. They have added a coffee van at the back of the seating area so as we only wanted coffee and snacks, we were able to order from there. The coffee van was accepting cash only. The baked good included vegan and gluten-free options! The baked goods were nice, as were the croissants, and we thought they were reasonably priced. Unfortunately, the coffee was really not to our taste and I didn't even drink mine.

It is a nice place for snacks. Whenever i visit Phoenix park i always visit this store. They have huge menu. On weekends there are many customers and one has to wait 10-15 minutes in queue. They also have washrooms at the back. There is also a new coffee stall just adjacent to Phoenix park tea rooms. They have a mumbai chai at 3.50 euro and it is must try. They also have turmeric chai, matcha latte, beetroot latte. Hot chocolate with marshmallows at 4 euro is also good. They have many organic coffee from 2.5 euro to 4 euro. Homemade brownie with ice cream is also nice at 6 euro. They have 4-5 different milkshakes priced at 5 euro. One can also get fresh orange juice and lemonade for approx 4 euro. They also have gluten free oats and many different types of milk such as coconut, soya and almond milk. They also have delicious snacks and this is a must visit place when someone visits Phoenix park 😀

Lovely spot to grab a quick bite. I appreciate the fact that they had a good vegetarian menu and the taste was good as well. I can’t wait to come back. I did find it a bit pricy but the taste totally made up for it

Put in a couple of visits to the tea rooms and for good reason. Some friendly staff also. I imagine it to be consistently peaceful here, no matter the weather. It is a little piece of heaven to start or end your day. Good to have a place like this in the park.

On our day to discover the Phoenix Park we had a short brunch stop at the Tea Rooms. We had a very tasty Quiche that surprisingly came with a quinoa pasta salad and some cakes with Tea and a Kurkuma Latte. Everything was tasty. You can take for there and to go. Tell them if you want to sit outside and they will prepare everything and bring it to your table. Prices are a bit high, like everywhere else in Ireland.

One of the weirdest service I’ve ever seen. We arrive at 9:45 and there were 4 other people in queue, after waiting 15 minutes, the bar outside open and we decide to try there because in that time they serve only one couple. In the outside bar(always managed by the Tea Rooms) there were two barkeepers, for get us 4 cake/muffin and 2 cappuccino they take other 15 minutes and they put in a paper bag for eat outside on the bench. The price are slightly higher so i was expecting a good service. The cappuccino’s were undrinkable, the cakes were fine. Terrifying experience.

Nice but... The food looks amazing the staff are very friendly and welcoming, the coffee was not good (understatement). I think there's a lot of people coming from Dublin Zoo and that's the main reason for the long queue, the second reason is their food range loads of salad options veggies and vegan options as well. Overall very nice place but needs more attention on the coffee ☕ taste and quality.

Lovely local spot, can be a little busy in good weather, but there’s usually room inside. Doing homemade lemonade at the moment that’s excellent 👌

My partner and I went here around 5 years ago and just decided to check on the internet if this little tea room is still operating post covid. The hot chocolate there is the best hot chocolate in the world and we still think about it to this day. Highly recommend.

Nice cakes and sandwiches but they need to learn to make cappuccinos. Ours were boiling hot flat whites not cappuccinos at all. Cappuccino is very frothy and warm guys.

The place is so nice and friendly and the food is very tasty. We ordered two different kind of sandwiches and we didn't think there was a side dish. We also took two slices of cake, both delicious. The staff is really nice and professional. I highly recommended this place!

Nicely decorated cafe right outside Dublin Zoo. Vintage cottage style interior and exterior. The food was pricy for mediocre cake and hot drinks. Their cake was dry and the coffee wasn't great. Wouldn't be getting it again. Friendly staff and overall clean area.

The Victorian Tea Rooms These world famous Victorian Tea Rooms, situated along picturesque Chesterfield Avenue, have drawn visitors since the late 1800s. Constructed as a refreshment kiosk for visitors to The Park and nearby Dublin Zoo, today the Tea Rooms serve a wide variety of delicious, freshly made dishes.

Amazing place to have coffee and snacks before you go to the zoo. Their Sea Salt Hot chocolate is quite unique. Usually have a queue for ordering but the delivery is fast. Plenty of benches, among lush green ambiance, to sit and enjoy your food. They have washrooms as well.

Had a bagel and hit chocolate here for lunch while walking in Phoenix park on a sunny but chilly weekday. Small but cosy indoor space, small cafe food. Overall a good spot to stop. Can be super busy with long queue on weekends, in that case you best look outside the park.

  • 4/5 Lauren G. 9 months ago on Google
Pleasantly surprised to stumble upon this neat little spot for lunch. They have a variety of desserts such as breads and cakes. There were a few sandwiches/wraps to choose from. Minimal seating inside.

A great spot to stop for a quick sweet and/or savory bit in the Phoenix park. Everything is quite tasty and you can enjoy sitting in a lovely ambient. It’s a bit confusing whether it’s self service or if someone comes and serves you, so this part could be improved on.

A lovely spot to grab lunch in the park. It gets very busy at peak times, so leave enough time to queue! The portions are really generous, too,.

Location, location, location, the sandwiches tasty, its a delightful spot surrounded by trees and grass in the Phoenix park. At the gate of the Zoo. There are also toilets. Which is great for convenience.

I´ve been there several times. The coffee is very nice and the treats mmm lovely. The only reason I rate with 2 stars is because everytime I go and my order is taken by an older blond lady(which seams to be one of the owners or manager ) she had a rude attitude and looks very stress. It is a shame because the regular staff is nice. It might be a good idea for her not to be in front of the house taking care of customers.

Great shop to get a very cup of coffee. Fantastic location and a stones throw from main entrance to Dublin Zoo. If you get a seat inside, then you are doing well! Plenty of seating outside. Food served is good, as well as the treats. Decent staff, quick service.
