Ernesto's Coffee & Artisan Foods

Cafe Breakfast restaurant

👍👍 Just happened to pass by this place and thought to check as the rating is quite high. Wasn’t disappointed. Flat white was great and so was the pastry. The place is small yet cozy. Aside from sitting inside, they have a few small tables outside by the roadside and a backyard which was more hidden. People often mention coffee, great, staff, Jonathan, delicious,

Been driving past this cafe for over a year now and delighted I walked there today. The best coffee I’ve had in Dublin and the food was great. Staff are super friendly and by the way customers were greeted you can see they have a loyal fan base who come back for more.

Oh, where do I even begin to describe the enchanting haven that is Ernesto’s? From the moment I stepped inside, I felt an overwhelming rush of warmth and comfort that immediately put a smile on my face. The atmosphere here is nothing short of magical. Cuban melodies gently float through the air, mingling with the aroma of freshly ground coffee beans. But it's the staff who truly breathe life into this remarkable place. Their genuine kindness and infectious passion for their job are truly uplifting. They have a remarkable talent for brightening even the dreariest of days with their radiant smiles and genuine conversations, specially the owner, Jonathan. Now, let's talk about the food. The menu is perfect, carefully curated and best price for the quality of the food! The pastries are amazing they melt in your mouth and the sandwiches are just perfect. But what sets this coffee shop apart is the emotions it stirs within you. It's a place where you can find solace during lonely moments, where laughter echoes and friendships are made. Whether you're seeking inspiration, a gentle embrace, or simply a moment of respite, this coffee shop has a way of touching your soul and leaving an indelible mark. So, if you find yourself in Rathmines, go and have a taste! This coffee shop is a testament to the power of human connection, a sanctuary of exceptional warmth and hospitality.

As a general experience it was awesome! Food is great, the staff is very nice and friendly. Coffee itself is a hit and miss: sometimes it is really good, and the odd time not that great.

Great local café: fresh food, generous portions, attentive service, superb coffee. It wasn't my first nor my last visit: worthwhile coming again, partially due to the special dish that changes over each weekend. As for the price: it's what you'd expect given the neighborhood.

The Real Deal! Coffee for true coffee lovers. Ambience for those who don't care about posh, just real people. Best scrambled eggs around! Now...which Ernesto?

As usual, even after two years of a pandemic, Ernesto's is THE Best place to meet friends for coffee. The coffee is even better (if possible) and the brownies? Equally delicious, as always.

Got two sandwiches to go here today - was 10 euro per sandwich (extortionate give the cost of similar in the area so expectations were high) and it took 30 minutes to get them. They were 3 ingredient underwhelming, bland and most of all SMALL. Maybe some of their other items are ok but dont order a sandwich.

The decoration is lovely and when you see the front of the cafe, you feel like going in and eating all the delicious stuff. But more then this, I was there for the first time and I felt like home. I love when staff makes you feel like that. I think the guy who talked to me is the owner because I had seen him opening the cafe many times until I had the chance to go. I just loved the feeling of been local in a cafe and I'm definitely coming back. I couldn't recommend Ernesto's more!!!! Ps in a sunny day, the tables outside are heaven.

Cozy place that you can visit for a date or a business talk. Not noisy, so you have a private sound space. Flat white is superb; brownie will complement it in a perfect way. Stuff here shines with a friendly smile. On a bright day definitely recommend to seat outside and enjoy passing bustle of the city.

Southern fried chicken sandwich was delicious and super generous for the price. Side salad with fresh beetroot, cherry tomato’s and seeds was gorgeous. I got a cup of homemade leek and potato soup which was the highlight of the meal for me ! Really brilliant, I was looked after by a bearded gentlemen who was just so warm and welcoming
