Contrary to most negative reviews, i think the place is actually pretty good. Affordable cocktails, 15 for 2 and their pizza taste good. Love the design of the place as well. They are just i think understaffed and can take a while sometimes to attend to you.

Nice staff and cocktails are lovely, however we had a booking for 12 and the doorman stopped 4 of us going in (all lads) after our partners had had already gone in after arriving in the taxi before us. I spoke with the manager who let us in an apologised. Had I not spoken with the manager our night would have been ruined. Doorman had no reason to stop us- we had an 8.30 booking, none of us were drunk and all of us well dressed. Worth noting, we had two previous Christmas parties here and spent thousands over the course of our visits.

Bouncer & Supervisor, to stupid boys with no arguments, only rude atittude ! Management, try to review you security contracts, don't put a hi price on low costs and bring some educated guys to make the diference. Bye Capitol, don't goo to this place, read all reviews even on Trip Advisor and you will figure out.

Love Capitol. Great selection of cocktails. I counted 40! . Lovely staff,especially the bartenders, I think one was called Robert . They really know their stuff. I had a wonderful crusty pizza made fresh . They had a live DJ and are open late, until 3am on the weekends. I'll be back !

My friends (03) and I tried to get in there, however, the security refused our entrance, which it was not making sense since we were all sober, had our ID's and well dressed. Clearly how they choose people admission according to the ethnicity! Whoever is Latin will be refused. Incredible how some places acting like this in 21st century. Seems like some places and people still have a lot of to learn! That happened bf the pandemic but I have never forgot that

Great place to hang out with your mates. They do €15 for 2 cocktails until midnite as well as €20 for 2 Pizza.

The place is absolutely beautiful, luxurious, the atmosphere was really nice!!Although the service was not satisfactory...the girl that attended my table was not so friendly, plus I was asked, when taking the photos around the place, what am I doing, which wasn't that pleasant, because she saw clearly what I was doing!!!But,despite all this,I enjoyed the place, and I will definitely be back,the bar staff were quite nice and respectful!!!

Great selection of nice cocktails with good deals if you get there before 8pm on certain nights. Staff were attentive & friendly. All in all a nice experience but for the love of god please change the mop heads used to clean the bathroom floors, the absolute stench the moment you get halfway down the stairs to the loo would turn your stomach.

Very off-putting experience here w/ manager. I ordered two margaritas. They were foul, pure lime juice, my throat was burning. I understand there may have been a new bartender, or another valid reason, I’m very understanding. It was the first time I’ve ever brought back a drink. I am not one to bring things back due to being anxious, and the manager at Capitol Lounge gave me every reason to be. When I said very politely “sorry, I find these are very hard to drink, too bitter like”. She was very passive aggressive stating “we have never had any complaints before, these are our most popular” & the passive aggressiveness & attitude continued. My guest was taken aback as was I as it felt accusatory, as if I was lying. As if I was returning two full drinks for the fun of it? Also, you’ve had your first complaint now. I waited over 20 minutes for her to return to apologise saying “I tasted them myself, they were awful, undrinkable”. Maybe listen to your customers when they make an initial complaint and don’t make them feel badly/guilty for returning acid in a glass? The margaritas were the exact same & they didn’t even attempt to redo the rim/drink. We just left and will not return. I’d like to see you treat all your customers like this as you treat two young women, as you wouldn’t have tried that one with the group of middle aged men next to us. 0/5 for drinks and customer service & management.

I pass this place so many times, just didn't notice. Finally I was invited inside by friend and was really surprised how nice it is. Staff is very professional and friendly, nice seating areas, you can have privacy but at the same time you are in the middle of everything. Price's are acceptable for the location. Music was great too, bit oldish but I like it. My first time but definitely I'll visit again and yes recommend to you to visit too....

All the hype of the capitol lounge I needed to try and definitely exceeded all expectations. My staff loved the atmosphere and the Fantastic cocktails 🍹 the staff working here are really nice and genuine. After ordering a few times (and the same cocktails).. I went back to the bar and the guy server had all the cocktails made before I could even ordered again. Where would you get it 🥳🤩

Bouncer on the door is the most ignorant man I’ve ever met profiled my boyfriend and didn’t even acknowledge me we only just finished a lovely meal and then childishly mocked us after refusing to give us a reason for not letting us in . We were both stone cold sober. I’d advise you get someone with a bit of manners and professionalism

Haven’t been here for about 10 years but will go back soon. Has been recently renovated so very comfy. I had Guinness my wife was driving so had the mocktails which she said were gorgeous. Happy to recommend.

Very nice cosy spot, staff seemed very nice, with any place that specialises in cocktails at times it can be awhile waiting to get served but plenty if floor staff to help out too.

Two cocktails for 15 euro is an absolute bargain these days in Dublin and the bar couldn't be nicer. Really trendy on the inside with lush furnishings. The bartenders are friendly and kind, although service can be slowed down during the busy periods. It's still worth it.

Good atmosphere, cocktails are packed full of juice though, booked a party table for €60 where it's platter for 6-8 people, table and prosecco. Disappointed the plate was very small for maybe 2 people only and only 1 glass of prosecco, package was not worth that price in my opinion. Friendly staff and good music

Bouncer told me I wasn't getting in, and when I asked why, he said "you got some already my friend" meaning that me and my girlfriend were completely drunk. I had just one drinks at the dinner before and was definitely eligible to get in. I really hate this bouncer (large white shirt tie man specifically) very frustrating being discriminated about it.

Always love coming here when I'm in Dublin. Staff are very friendly, great service. Cocktails are so so good and the atmosphere is very cosy and relaxing.

I had the most terrible experience. I had just booked a table for 10 people on my card the weekend just gone for my birthday and I went to the door and the bouncer refused me straight away. No reason and it was very upsetting and extremely inconvenient for myself and my friends. They were so rude and called me names. I did not even have one drink and I am 29 years old. I will never step foot there again. I would advise people against this bar.

Used to love this place. Went the other day and ordered a pina colada. Coconut cream was literally curdling in the bottom! Was sickening. Really disappointed, again used to love this spot!

Strange vibes from staff, overpriced pizza, €16 for an excessively oily pizza where the top of it literally separated from the bottom when eating.. but cocktails were lovely. Place is quiet but personally wouldn’t ever come back

Poor service, waited over an 1.5 for 3 cocktails, was told multiple excuses for why a cocktail that does not take long to make too over. When asked to cancel the order they said it was too late and still had us pay for cocktails we no longer wanted. Please stay away not worth it at all

They've got a selection of cocktails at €8 for 2 on Mondays to Wednesdays and 2 for 1 cocktails on Thursdays and Fridays. Great value for money. Lots of the usual crowd pleasers like Piña Coladas, Daiquiris, etc. Lots of very summery drinks.
