Great Museum showing the history of the curragh camp from the British to the modern day. The car that Michael Collins was killed in, is on show here and is in fantastic condition. There are a number of armoured vehicles from carriers to tanks Be sure to visit the the Chester Beatty room with a Fabolous range of weapons from the far to the middle east.

Update your website, you never seem to be open, the guy in shop nearby who sells military items is complaining also. You wash the tanks yet no one can go in and it's not because of Covid.

Visited the museum yesterday and found it to be a great experience. Our guide around the museum was very knowledgeable and had a clear interest in the subject. Artifacts on display were really excellent. Thankyou very much.

Admission free museum. Quite small. Camp itself closed temporarily due to renovation, so didn't even spend 40 minutes inside. Still was totally worth it

I really like this place. Goes through some good history of military action in Ireland. Definitely recommend if you've an afternoon free, and be sure to head around back for more. I almost missed it until I seen the arrows on the ground to the right of the building.

Drove up from Co. Louth as the website stated that the museum was open. Unfortunately it was closed. Such a shame and a wasted journey

This is not the official site of the Curragh Military Museum. None of the museum staff are involved with this site. Notices for opening/closing are not accurate on this site. For official site you have to go to Military.ie to see if the museum is open and for opening times.

The museum is on an active IDF installation and is run by active duty soldiers. Incredibly interesting history of military activity on the Curragh. Well worth a trip. The outdoor exhibits, unfortunately, were closed for renovations. Even without, it was a great stop on our holiday.

Very disappointed, arrived down for opening time , it was closed. No one there to open it and lots of people waiting. Said on their site it was open. Kids upset . Not impressed.
