Visited this year's exhibition and it did not disappoint! It always fills me with delight, wonder and exasperation! Because if the huge eclectic range of art, photographs, pottery and constructions their is something for everyone! What may delight me may not move you and what seems like "emperor's new clothes" to me may be just what you like! Have a look at the photos I've taken and then go to the exhibition and find have your own wonderful and surprising experience! It's free and fun!

The Royal Hibernian Academy is tucked away on Ely Place, so near yet so far from the madding crowd. Quirky and interesting choices for lunch. I had the Caesar salad for €14. A little bit pricey but the food compliments the art. Not well known, yet a rewarding choice for Irish or international visitors.

Excellent art gallery in the centre of Dublin, just off St Stevens green. The gallery has several large exhibition space, and is very spacious. Admission is free. The exhibitions are renewed every month or two. A "must see" is the annual RHA show of RHA members work in the summer. There is also an art shop, and a coffee shop at the front of the gallery. The RHA hold art talks and other events regularly - see the website for details.

Good gallery but found one or two of the staff members at the front of house to be a little up themselves and very dismissive. The annual show is worth checking out and the education officer is pretty active. It's located close to other galleries and the museums so worth checking out if you're doing the rounds.

Great gallery with contemporary art :) Spacious and usually not very crowded, so can really enjoy it at your own pace. Exhibitions often change, meaning that almost every month you can find something interesting. Another plus that it’s free

Always a pleasure to admire and appreciate the great exhibitions. Planned to take in a final day of one exhibit, and i did, before loosing myself in another. Wonderfully curated prints available and the staff were on hand and so helpful and informative. Also free. If you have the time, I'd also recommend Margadh for a bite.

I would love to give 5 stars unfortunately the noise levels in the galleries can be extremely distracting. From the echoes of people talking, to the footsteps on the wooden floors and even from the lighting. If you are like me with hearing problems and can't tune out these noises, it's less than an enjoyable experience which really is a great shame considering the level and quality of work on display.
