They had all books for this year's school year but ridiculously expensive. I don't really think it's their fault, just the prices e everywhere. But add that to all other piece hikes and it's q case of kids school books or eating. Education board needs to cop on and step into the real world. In case you are wondering, my kid starts secondary and I just dropped €440. Pre tax call that over 600 quid. Ridiculous amount of money that will have us struggle. It may nourish the minds but it starves the stomach's....

Very poor system. We ordered the books online. We received an order number and went into Stillorgan to collect the books. We went upstairs and queued only to see a note in the window that we had to collect online orders down stairs in another part of the centre. Got there. Then had to call a mobile number for someone to meet us. They eventually came. Checked my order number only to be told that my order was not there and it could be upto 2 weeks before my order came from Swords! Again 2 weeks from North Dublin to South Dublin. No mention of this on the confirmation email and I have to wait for another email and then call the shop back to arrange coming in and then phone the mobile to wait for assistance. Management need to ‘open their minds’ to improving their technology and improving their customer experience.

I have ordered books on their website for my daughter, but selected the wrong delivery point. The team was very responsible in reverting to all our mails and lastly they couriered the books directly to me as a gesture of good will. Really amazing guys, Thank you very much for being so responsible :) You are just amazing, keep that going :)

I have been ordering from this store for 8 years and while its never been very organised, this recent situation is very poor treatment on a customer. I ordered a €100 IB Science book and in the first week of school my daughter switched to Biology so I contacted the main office who informed me I could return the new science book just received. I did so and was told it would be refunded to me. I then received a call from the store the next day saying they were mistaken and could not accept a return due to the IB books being rare/special ordered. This is not the right, as we have students taking these IB classes each year in Dublin. Very poor treatment to a customer and will not be using them again. Similar stories in numbers from the parent group chat with many people no longer using Opening Minds.
