During a visit to town we dropped in to Peter's for a pint and had a great time. We intended to have two but stayed for a few more because the place was buzzing, the pints of Guinness were beautiful and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I will be back soon and would recommend a visit to anyone.

Scum bag place - I’ve never had such a bad experience. The owner of the bar has no hospitality knowledge. This is the type of place that only exists because mummy and daddy left it in the family. Both times I have been here the owner insulted us. We were there with our parents that are in their 70s and our 2 year old baby that was asleep in his buggy and the owner was disgusting to us. We spent 70 euros on 4 drinks only to be insulated by him. I really hope people don’t go here. All the other staff where very nice but the owner was horrible. The people in the table next to us had the same experience. He seems to have a problem with everyone. Children, dogs, tourists are not welcome. We are Irish and I feel ashamed and embarrassed that this type of pub exists in our city. Please don’t go here. Ireland has a great reputation for great pubs with natural hospitality, this is the opposite.. It won’t be here in 20 years, and hopefully a decent person will take it over..

Best Irish coffee you'll have. Great bartenders too! When I told ours we were from Texas his reply was perfect: "Texas? Yeehaww!" 🤣

Great place went with the family when on a night to just have a place to sit and people watch and we got a few hot chocolates

Nice pub in a crowded area, we had our drinks outside. We enjoyed the moment. I read many comments about the unfriendly waiters, in our case was the opposite, this man was friendly and fun. Tasty pints, probably a bit pricy

I never have had a treatment like this. The bartender HATES FOREIGNERS, he's so rude and unpolite. I asked for a Guiness and he gave me less quantity as usual, also he ask to the customers from where they are. I can't say that all of them are like that but at least the guy of the photo, unfortunately, it is.

Cozy pub. The bartenders are nice and even when they’re busy they don’t forget your order. Many complain that they’re not friendly but it’s a super busy bar. They don’t have time to chat and that’s perfectly ok with me. They’re fast and hardworking. We had a great experience visiting Dublin and hanging out at this pub.

Great cozy pub with super friendly staff but as goes for all pubs in Dublin Center, you pay a lot for small portions of just okay food. Come here for a drink, not on an empty stomach.

6 people arrived yesterday everyone needing to eat, apart from one person, as that one person has a special dietary need, we were told the rest of us couldn't eat if everyone not eating, dispite the fact 5 of us would still be eating. We were told this one person would cause not "enough money going in to the till" so none of us could order or eat there. In the times we are in where we all are trying to support businesses, this just showed total lack of care and purely money driven. We left safe to say won't be back.

Not super chatty barkeep, bit of an expensive pint, €6.80 each. But it was delicious.

Decent pub, can get quite busy - not much standing area near the bar. Atmosphere is more on the quiet side so would recommend elsewhere unless it’s the start of the night unless you’re looking for a quiet pint!

Went to Peter’s Pub for a drink with my parents and brother today. Me and my brother had a slice of pizza from a nearby pizza place. We were sitting at an outside table when a male staff member told us that we couldn’t eat the pizza as they serve food in the pub. This was a totally reasonable rule and we apologised immediately as we didn’t know they served food (no menus on tables and nobody eating food, later learned that they only serve sandwiches/salads). The staff member left and came back one minute later as I was putting the last of the slice in my mouth. The staff member said very aggressively “I don’t think you understood what I said. I told you you can’t eat your pizza here”. We apologised again and I tried to quickly shove the last bit of pizza into my mouth. I’m not sure what he wanted me to do as we had already apologised and I was finishing the slice as quickly as I could. The staff member, who clearly had a bee in his bonnet at this point, then came back a third time and told my 65yr old Dad that he couldn’t sit on the stool he was sitting on as there were no stools allowed outside. The staff member was extremely rude and hostile towards us, despite the fact that we had apologised multiple times. My parents have been drinking in this pub for years but have agreed that they won’t be back. The treatment we received is clearly standard in this pub judging from the rest of the reviews. I would avoid this pub as the staff are very hostile and clearly don’t know how to treat people with basic respect or politeness.

A great Irish pub away from the bustle and excellent service from kind experienced bar staff. A huge selection of drinks including Guinness and my favourite a Paddy's whiskey. We felt really at home.

Amazing service and the best Irish coffee I’ve ever had. Bartenders were friendly and interested in more than just making financial profit. Gave us a lot of recommendations of what to visit in Dublin.

Natural light filled small pub. Crisp and clean, but also warm and cozy. The snarky bartenders are exactly what you’d expect and hope for at a Dublin Pub.

Small traditional pub but with big windows that allow natural light or a nice view of one of the busiest and nicest nightlife areas in town. Not noisy at all, perfect for a nice conversation. Good service and a wide array of beers, wines and spirits.

Early evening drink with family. About to enjoy the night. Daughter paid for round (not cheap!). She very politely asked barman to change her drink (after a couple of sips), as her glass smelled of washing up liquid. Apparently this needed a manager, who duly attended to proclaim the drink was fresh! He did change the drink, but not without making my daughter feel quite insignicant. Totally unnecessary. Costs nothing to be respectful. Glad we were staying for just one.

Fine for drinks but not for lunch I had a ham plate and how disappointing it was. I called it a 60’s salad, consisted of plastic ham 2 pieces of iceberg lettuce, jarred beetroot, jarred pickled onion, hard boiled egg and wait for it cucumber…pathetic and old old fashioned. My friend had a hot beef sandwich which consisted of one piece of pressed beef on a thin piece of white bread. We should have judged it when a Friday lunchtime and we were the only customers!

0 🌟 Worst experience ever. Barman just stood and starred at us instead of asking us what we would to order. Then we sat down at a table and started playing cards. everything was fine for a few minutes. Then he shouted over “you can not play cards in here” when I asked why he just said “ you are not aloud” He then went back across the bar talking to another customer/Local and started talking about us really loudly so we could obviously hear. I was then followed down to the toilet by one of the barmen. Honestly felt he was going to try and cause a fight. My friend who was still upstairs heard the Barmen talking upstairs send the other down to follow me Extremely off bar staff Clearly hating on the Brits

Great pub, great staff, great location and ambience. Loses a mark for joining many other Dublin city centre pubs in high prices for standard pints but otherwise highly recommend.

Service and location was great. However food was bad. We paid €9 for a incredibly thin salmon sandwich and some iceberg lettuce. Was definitely still hungry afterwards.

Last time I will go to Peters Pub. The bar man was unfriendly with selective hearing. Drinks were expensive. €2.80 for a pint of water with a splash of cordial??? The Heineken was on the more expensive side. The inside is dated rather than old world charming. And god forbid you need two tables to sit around due to the size of your group.

I got served within a minute. The pub would be perfect if it didn't have physical receipts. My friend and I got rounds and they had individual receipts. The service was amazing but I felt that that was unnecessary.

A lovely pub. Table service and attentive staff. One of the best features is its lack of music which is great if you want a chat. Pint is very good too. Sadly as it is in the middle if town, you will have to pay town prices. That is the only downside but still well worth a visit.

We kinda fell into Peters Pub on our way to drifting around to no where in particular. John, the server, came right over and when I asked about the local cider he told me “it’s all local”. I chose the Falling Apple that was on tap, John told me it was a medium dry cider. perfect. This pub is authentic and relaxed.

Nice spot for a quiet drink in the city. Very functional decor which is nice as it doesn't have the many try hard frills found elsewhere closeby in Dublin. Excellent pint of Guinness. Nice place to start a night and loads of options nearby to move to later.
