Really lovely place if you like gin or a well poured Guinness. The manager Luke was very knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. He made us a twist on Aviation and it's one of the best cocktails I've ever had. I've tried many cocktails around the world and being a particularly picky person this is one of the very few extremely memorable ones. A huge shout out to Luke and Jacob. They gave Gin Palace a wonderful personal touch. The place itself was beautiful, added bonus. Highly recommended!

Great spot for gin cocktails in Dublin! Bartenders really knew their cocktails and gins! We ended up there late (didn't realize they were closing) but they still took the time to make our drinks and tell us about different gins to try the next time. And of course we went back!

I cross this bar very often but never decided to visit it until recently. I was pleasantly surprised by the cocktails - both the selection and the cocktails themselves. The bramble and margarita were fantastic. They also have beers on tap and a wide selection of Gin. The staff is also quick in service and super approachable. The food menu has loads of options - wings, soups, burgers, wraps, sandwiches etc. I would definitely visit the bar again and would recommend it to you too!

Get the gin flight! Best way to try 3 of their 30 gins. By far my favorite place on Dublin. It's a bit of a walk from the main city center, but is totally worth it. We got dinner there as well as drinks but you could definitely just go for the drinks. All their prices were fair if not lower than expected. It was also a very classy pub. The servers were also very knowledgeable about their products too. Go here if you love gin. They have other drinks and beer too, but the specialty is gin.

Great banter from Luke and Jacob. Very nice and knowledgeable lads who will steer you through the world of gin. I'm more of a whiskey man myself but still enjoyed the drinks there. Luke makes an amazing cocktail which is a twist on an Aviation cocktail with Aviation gin. It...is...to... die for! Treat yourself to it.

Wonderful staff ๐Ÿ˜ Sure I came in after chasing my friend looking a fright. However, the wondrous Gemma, made a delicious Old Fashioned. I'm still a novice but the skills of this bartender must be noted ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ€ Lets get smashed ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰

The food was lovely but the service was now. Well more that the manager decided to give out one of his staff middle of the pub. On top of it the way he spoke to the staff was absolutely inappiroate. Other then that lovely

Really good choice of gin's and other drinks. The service could be better, once I had to get up and call the waitress, because no one would come to the place we were seated.

Great pub right by the Abbey Theatre, it is extremely busy and you may have to wait for a table. The Gin taster was really good and the food portions were a good size, I had the roast chicken with garlic potatoes. The waiter was really nice, friendly and helpful (sorry I didn't get his name). If I come back to Dublin I would definitely come back here.

You like Gin!? Than you have to stop here! This bar offers such a great selection of all kinds of Gins ... you will have a hard time tasting them all! The waiters could be a little bit more open to explain about the choice of Gin but due to the noise it might be a challenge anyway! Great place and a must to visit!

Nice little place. Plenty of service and generally responsive. Food good. Had the Dingle Mule which was a beautiful drink. Enjoyed our evening and a nice buzz in the place but can still have a conversation with your friends. Recommended for meetups with mates and a good catch up :)

Like Gin? Had three, all different, all delicious in very different ways. Great to get in out of the rain and relax (photo, and my favourite of the 3, Oriental Spiced Gin) Great spot if you're in the area.

Staff very friendly.Straight away with a Greeting, swift service.Reasonably priced. Nice comfy cosy decor. Toilets immaculate . Nice pints.Sadly due to reduced opening hours less atmosphere . Reccomend and will visit again.

Strange thing happened there. Barman says, open at 3pm. We come back 4pm. Middle abbey street closed. Went to Liffey street door. Still closed. Phoned to ask to get let in. Still nothing!!! Left. To lunch, coffee, nothing. Pity. Was looking forward to lunch.

Me and my friend love this place! Food was delicious and worth the money! I had Bangers and Mash, my friend had Chicken Pasta. We both have black teas. The waitress who served us was alright, love the atmosphere here. Definitely recommended. :)

had 3 drinks here last night, the barman took my pint bottle of bulmers which was a third full...and didn't know until I reminded him....after that ordered a cocktail that didn't appear to contain any rum at all, tasted more like orange squash....all for โ‚ฌ8...๐Ÿ˜ข....wont be going back.

Lovely little bar in the heart of Dublin with an amazing selection of Gins to choose from. The staff were fantastic too and you could tell they enjoyed discussing and recommending different Gin options. Highly recommended.

  • 3/5 Qwan S. 1 year ago on Google
The tasting tray was a good option for trying different types of gin but the tonic amount wasn't really sufficient for the flight. We were not happy with the service which was slow and confusing but maybe we just caught them on a bad day, as they mentioned that they are understaffed.

  • 5/5 Gigi S. 1 year ago on Google
Excellent place to visit. The gin tray was a great way to try out the gins, huge variety. The food was great, hubby got a Berger and I got the sweet potato dish, wonderful flavors. Great service and very knowledgeable.

Absolutely awful. When we first arrived we thought it was cosy and weโ€™re happy to stay. However, we tried ordering two Irish coffees and were told no because the one bartender working behind was โ€busyโ€ even though the bar was almost empty.. then we ordered hot whiskeys which I think was an issue. When more staff arrived I tried ordering a Baileys coffee and the bartender actually said โ€œJesusโ€ and rolled his eyes. I wish I was joking. The man sitting at the bar noticed too and asked what his problem was. When I got my drink it tasted like coffee with lots of milk and no baileys. Will never return! Absolutely disgusted!

I used to love the gin palace and all of the amazing cocktails and gins they offered. We went in a few weeks ago, and were so disappointed in the experience that we left. For example, the bar tender came over to clean our table, which wasnโ€™t dirty, taking our menus from us in the process and then walked away without giving them back to us. We had to wait to flag him down to ask for them back. The Gin Palace used to have an amazing gin selection with a gorgeous gin menu that went with it. When I asked to see it, they said they didnโ€™t have it any more. The bar tender didnโ€™t want to give us anymore information than that and was getting irritated with us as we asked more questions, which we were asking because we were confused at why there was no gin menu. Because he didnโ€™t have a menu, and wasnโ€™t giving us anymore information, I asked for a Bramble, as itโ€™s the drink I always order there. He looked at me and said he had never heard of it before and then went to the other bar tenders who all said they hadnโ€™t heard of it either, as though he was trying to prove I was making something up or ordering something crazy. A bramble is a very common gin cocktail. He said we could only order pints and that they didnโ€™t have any cocktails, and I guess no gin either, because he didnโ€™t say we could order gin, just pints?! I was soooo very put off with how he was responding to us that we sadly left and went somewhere else. Honestly, I used to love the Gin Palace and would bring friends there all of the time, and it would be one of the first places i would recommend to people, but unless something changes I donโ€™t see that happening in the future.

Been a few times and found the atmosphere to be really lacking. Was there for a rugby match and had to ask a number of times before they switched it on and when they eventually did, the sound may as well have been turned off. Left in the end and watched the game in Fitzgerald's

Just went in for a gin and it was very nice indeed. The staff are very well informed and made perfect drinks. We had Irish gin and sat at the bar, best place to be in a traditional pub.

Great traditional bar with a modernized twist. Worth visiting for the Victorian bar and floor alone. Some amazing gins on sale with an unbeatable variety. It's a shame they stopped doing the gin cocktails in tea pots though!

Great atmosphere, attentive staff. Great selection of Gin. Drinks are great but the food was below average. Food isn't served as described and it's of a poor standard. Drink but don't eat here.

Service was excellent and information about a Irish Gin, was top class. Wanted to drink a Chinnery Gin and tonic. I asked could I have the empty bottle. Of course I could. Would definitely be calling in again. Claire from Denmark.

Lovely Victorian era interior, great selection of gins. Staff slightly hyped by the idea that all their guests must be tourists and pushing to speak German to us, thus providing for the entertainment too!

A very nice place, with an amazing selection of drinks and cocktails. Awesome service and ambiance. Run there as soon as you can, and try the Hendricks tea time : they will serve you a gin mix in a teapot, it's pretty awesome.

Gin Palace stands to its name. It is a lovely iconic place which serves amazing Gin drinks. There are other drinks as well, however, I donโ€™t think they are upto the mark on it. In terms of Gin, they are amazing. The seating and arrangement of the entire place is good. So for a cozy little Gin evening, Gin Palace is the place to be.

Was told to take a seat when I ordered my drink from the bar. Drink arrived at the table and when I took out my card to pay, the barman had a bit of attitude and walked away either because he had to get the card machine then come back or because he was expecting cash for a tip. Don't know what his problem was, just came in for one drink. I don't owe a barman anything beyond paying for what I ordered. Just a bad attitude. First time in there and my last.
