I have been out drinking at the Gasworks a few times in the past, but this time we decided to try the food there. We ordered the nachos and got a nachos plate that is really different from what was presented on the menu. We kindly mentioned that to the staff, and immediately received honest apologies from two staff members. The nice waiter offered us a free round of beers on the house and re-made our nacho order. Where I'm coming from, that will never happen! Bottom line, sometimes orders can get wrong but the service we got was so great that we really couldn't care less about that mistake. We'll be back for sure! Thanks for treating us well!

The gasworks is a really cool pub so close to the city center. I would love to go again and spend more time there. I stopped today for a pint of cider and I loved the atmosphere and the decoration. It's a really nice, cozy place. I would love to go again and get some food there because the menu looks good. They also have a pool table and TV where you can see FIFA matches. There is a little cafe attached to the pub, inside the hotel. They also put so much effort in the xmas decoration. I really enjoyed having a drink there. My only concern is that I didn't have two instead, but next time.

Great spot if you've just arrived at the hotel and need a meal (before closing!), but also frequented by locals. Good selection of craft beers and a decent - though not expansive - menu of pub grub. Lots of screens if you don't want to miss a football match.

Gasworks is a wonderful location to relax and unwind after a long day of touring Dublin, especially if you are staying in the Grand Canal Hotel. This restaurant is attached to the hotel. Overall, the food here is wonderful and I highly recommend the signature beef and stout pie if that is something you enjoy. The Burgers and Buttermilk Fried Chicken is also very tasty. Service was decent, but nothing more. You get a number of different people assisting you which could be good, but they aren't in synch with each other so you don't always end up with what you need. The place itself has a decent vibe and maybe it was because we were there on a weekday night, but its pretty quiet.

We were starving at noon and realized that we didn't try the place just opposite to where we were staying. We decided to have lunch. The place is primarily bar oriented, with a great ambience in support of their rugby team. Flags and decor all around. For starters we ordered potato wedges with dip. For the mains, we ordered Beef Burger, Fish and Chips, Beef Stew, Thai Curry with Chicken, and Soup. The Beef Burger was on point with the juiciness, the Beef Stew with the mashed potatoes was also great. The fish and chips were also very flavourful. The Thai curry felt a bit sweet for us so we decided to stick to the soup more. The bread that came with them was different and blended well with it. For desserts we ordered their Chocolate Cake with the Strawberry Sorbet and Nutty Chocolate and Knickerbocker dessert. Both were really an icing on the cake for us, though the Cake had to stand out for that dessert feel me!

Wonderful place!! Plenty of outdoor seating. No reservation needed on a Friday night. Don't understand why it was not busier....must have hit it on at a good time for me. The food was outstanding. Tomato Basil Soup and Veggie Burger were wonderful. Would love to have the recipe for the burger as it was made here! A great taste combination. Found a new favorite Gin, Micil. It was one of the best I have had so far! Staff was freindly and attentive. Overall a great place!!!

One of my favorite pubs. I love the wings. The service is pretty quick. There is a pool table and board games as well. I already went with friends and my boyfriend and it's always fun. Thankfully we live very close!

Very nice people, tasty food, nice beer! Give it a try you won't be disappointed!! I recommend the: - Fish n Chips - Buttermilk fried Chicken - Turkeyburger Although the burger ist tasty and looks amazing but a real struggle to eat it because of the height πŸ˜… a minor detail but be prepared for dirty finger's πŸ˜‹

I've been here a number of times to watch the match (they have 3 big screens and will usually put on the game you're looking for on 1 of them if it's not on already) and it's always a great atmosphere. The staff are really friendly, the food and drinks are good and they have a good number of board games you can borrow.

Great pub to go for a bite of food on match days. Plenty of craft beers available and a great range of food from the menu. Plenty of room inside and outside ( if its not too cold ) go on get in there and try it yourself.

Leinster v Ulster, I called last minute to get a table. Spoke to Kevin, he arranged a great table under the 60 inch TV at the pool table. Then re-booked us in for the next match. After that, the beer and food was fantastic.. price is very competitive to the quality and service

Excellent food and drinks in a welcoming, warm pub. Enjoy a game of Pool, Foosball, Chess or watch a game while you enjoy excellent service and great conversation. I tried the wings and the small order is nothing short of immense (20+wings). Also tried the onion rings - 1st rate! Great selection of local whiskeys too!

Great selection of Galway Bay beers and other Irish/International craft beers. Was there around lunchtime and despite being quite busy there was plenty of seating available. Food was good and a decent enough price. Staff were very friendly

I decided to try this place as a random pick. The fish, chips, and beers were all very tasty. I liked how crunchy the fish was. However, I felt a little bit ignored at the start. Maybe it's because I showed up solo?

Tables available outdoors in the conservatory and in the front of the pub. The place takes bookings but requires you to go to the venue to give your number and they will call you when a table becomes available. Good selection of food and drinks on the menu and all covid guidelines followed.

Nice authentic place that feels like it is perfectly fitting into the area. They offer a fairly large selection of beers of different types, from many breweries from multiple countries. If you like Ale, you might spend some time here and come back after the first visit. The offered selection of food fits nicely to the selection of drinks. I'll be back.

I love Gasworks! It has a great selection of beers, some great cider, and definitely the best chicken wings I've had south of the Liffey. I definitely recommend dropping in if you're staying in the nearby hotel, or visiting one of the nearby tech giants. An absolute must in the area for sure!

Very chill low-key bar! They have a pool table and screen some live sporting events (I personally come here to watch F1). The beer range is a bit expansive beyond the traditional pint options. They have ginger beer on tap and some good Belgian and Galway beers too! The food is good! I'm a vegetarian myself and they have decent options and great non veg food πŸ€™πŸΎπŸ‘ŒπŸΎ

We went at noon (around 12:20). It took them 1h to burn 20 burgers. The burgers were almost looking like charcoal and extremely dry. The place was otherwise clean. Would definitely look for other options.

Nice place but has a definite feel of a Student Union bar (not that that is necessarily a bad thing). Great selection of craft beers from various breweries, both on tap as well as a huge selection of bottled beers and ciders. The line up changes frequently so there is always something new to try! Food is fairly standard but done well and with good prices, relative to the area. Staff seem knowledgeable and keen.

I love it because they have a great selection of craft beers. Except Galway Bay beers, their selection is ever changing so you get to try something new every time. Not very keen on their food selection and burgers, but the chicken wings are greatly appreciated by my wing afficionados friends.
