Great Guinness!! The pub is also very LGBTQ friendly !! They have a lot of LGBT events !!! I enjoyed the LGBTQ cowboy themed night!

Great night in here. Barman with the big beard was bang on. Let me do my 'alas poor Yorick' joke with the crystal head vodka. Can't beat that. Saw him letting a group of American girls pull a pint of Guinness and get a photo of it - you can tell it made their entire vacation. Easy to do small nice things like this. Fair play. Live music was nice too. The Guinness pints were top class. Randomly selected the place for a follow on pint and it was cool.

Went on Friday and had the worst experience ever! After having finished two pints each, we were waiting to our friend who was ordering the next round and suddenly the manager came and yelled at us saying to go out of the bar if we weren’t drinking anything. We explained him that our friend was ordering and that we were drinking there all night and he told us that we were lying and kicked us out of the bar!! When our friend came back, he tried to apologize but we just wanted to leave!! There was a lot of people without drinks on their hands, and he just approached the only group that wasn’t Irish...... NEVER COMING BACK!! RUDEST PERSON EVER!!!

Once upon a time in the not to distant past, infact it was this Millennium this lil pub was one of the coolest in Dublin and prices were decent. Then we had the great tourist influx when Temple Bar became the pub rip off on the whole of the island of Ireland. Not to be outdone by greed from their neighbours the pubs on the edge of Temple bar decide they'd jump on the bandwagon and introduce didli-aye fake Irish tourist singalongs and of course that was the excuse to hike up the price of a pint which only rivals the price of energy increases. 7.50e for a pint of Cider when it was only 6.80 a few months ago. I'll vote with my feet...

It. Is right beside the Olympic theatre, it is a rip of pub way to pricey don't deserve your custum 6 euros 40c a pint of Guinness, a vodka and cheaser 10 euro. 5 minutes up the road in the Lord Edward only 5 euro 50c, now that's worth a visit

I went to P. Kearney's Dublin Irish Pub and got a Guinness on draft. I asked the bartender Carl (nice fella) for a dinner menu for my wife. He responded "all we serve is alcohol. Sorry no food". Another patron chimed in his two pennies "you don't need anything else". Fantastic place for a classic Irish pub experience.

Horrible environment, the two customers that we met were more nicer than the bartnender. He kept looking at us and my partner only wanted one pint before we went home. The bartnender was rude and ignorant and he told me I had to drink to stay and he wasn’t nice about it. We aren’t regulars of this pub and we felt that the minute we walked in. You could tell it was a local pub because we werent welcomed at all, not to mention he ignored us for a while before we got served. Even the customers were glaring at me multiple times, u felt very uncomfortable. Don’t not go here unless your a local you won’t feel comfortable. I would never recommend this place

The best music experience my wife and I had in Dublin. We heard an amazing voice accompanied by an accordion while walking by and decided, on a whim, to stop by. Great atmosphere and an altogether great time!

Nice pub near Temple Bar used by locals. The band played Irish traditional music, not the usual pub songs you hear in tourist focused pubs.

Dec: 2023: P. Kearney's in Dublin is a Christmas tradition worth keeping! After enjoying a fantastic experience last year, we couldn't resist returning this year. The pub's nice vibe, coupled with its warm atmosphere, made both visits memorable. It's become a go-to spot, ensuring a festive and enjoyable time in the heart of Dublin. Cheers to P. Kearney's for consistently delivering a welcoming and festive experience! Dec 2022: Really nice place. Appears to be used more by the locals than the tourists and certainly friendly. I'd definitely return to this place rather than the Temple Bar strip.

Found a great pub close to temple bar, away from all the Stag and Hen parties! Great setting, great service, great decor, great live music and of course, the Guiness and Baileys were delicious! We'll return here!

If you're a tourist, you'll love this bar. As a local, not so much. The rebel songs and the ridiculous price if the drink was enough for us to leave after one drink.

  • 5/5 Philip R. 1 year ago on Google

I was there for the live music upstairs and the brilliant comedy down stairs. The In Stiches Comedy club down stairs is ran by 3 great guys. They have a brilliant selection of Comedians, some well known people that you would see in the big clubs. Some up and coming fantastic Comedians. The venue is an intimate setting super place to see comedy.

Fantastic atmosphere and night! We started in the pub where we enjoyed a proper Irish singer (not someone doing rubbish covers of Ed Sheeran). Everyone was really friendly and we would have stayed there all evening but we'd booked for the comedy club downstairs. That was also a brilliant night so win win!

Visited Dublin from the states and went to Peadar Kearney’s on live music recommendation from a barkeep in town. We had an absolute blast listening to Irish music, singing with the crowd. Lively and fun time.

Great Pub, Bags of Character with a mix of regulars and shoppers. Not quite in Temple Bar which may explain why its a regular for Dubliners. It has a nice old world feel despite being a new pub on the scene compared to its near neighbours The George and The Long Hall. Worth the price of a pint. Great Bar Staff particularly Paudie the Bar man, Who's wit and humour is straight out of James Joyce's Ulysses.

  • 5/5 Mike M. 4 years ago on Google
Small but superb with excellent live music but beware the temperature; it's like 900 degrees inside with the heaters on but apart from that, a definite place to visit and recommend.

We were down on our luck after being turned away from two other pubs without explanation. We arrived at Peadar Kearney's and were instantly welcomed by bartenders and staff. Phenomenal service, pours and good times. They also had good live music and a great atmosphere. Next time I am in Dublin I will be visiting again!
