Great spot really worth a look in. Excellent friendly staff. My brother in law and his friend were working outside in stormy weather and the lads in the pub brought them out tea and coffee. Not to many places left like this 👍👍👍👍👍

It's an old world styled pub. Cosy and pleasant place. Here are taking place some English language meet-ups for those who want to practice the language. They have good beer, nice coffee, and tasty food. Is located in city center which is comfortable.

Probably the best chauder I've ever had in Ireland, must try!!! Waiters are super nice and the place is very cosy (was not too crowded when I was there which made it a very pleasant place to have a quiet lunch). If in Dublin, don't miss this place.

Great pub, with good food and beers. I particularly recommend this place after your visit of the National Gallery, as it’s really close to it. The staff was really nice!

First time in this pub before the Beck/CMAT gig last Sunday. Gorgeous place, lovely atmosphere and the loveliest barman. Went out of his way to get us a better table when we decided to get food. We hadn't even asked and it was so busy. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Will definitely visit again and recommend.

A nice pub next to University. Not too crowded, not too loud. I came out and did not smell of fish&chips, which is definetly a plus.

Good looking bar at good place in middle of Dublin, we had fish n chips and it was totally delicious, also the prices are good but sometimes bit high for locals. They should consider bigger tables, because some of them are really small

Awesome pub just close enough to the National Gallery to make a dash in the rain! Smithwicks and Guinness were outstanding, clearly very well kept. Excellent service from the bar staff.

We went closer to closing time, so the kitchen was closed. But the staff was very welcoming, got drinks to us quickly, and shared suggestions of other areas to eat. I would be interested in the food, but the staff was great.

We wanted to eat as a group on our last day in Dublin but couldn’t find a restaurant for 10 people. Lincoln’s Inn and Chris could make room for us on a very short notice and it was great! Good food good drinks good service and everything very fast and not even expensive! Will definitely visit again next time!

(Translated by Google) Magnificent pub with neat design. From the benches to the radiators, no detail of this place is neglected and the style is magnificent! It's a real journey back in time allowing us to go back to the 1920s as soon as we enter the pub! It's very cozy and very "Peaky Blinders", you want to go down a pint with good old whiskey! (Original) Magnifique pub au design soigné. Des banquettes aux radiateurs, aucun détail de cet endroit n’est délaissé et le style est magnifique ! • 5/5 Fergus W. 4 years ago on Google
Olde worlde (not typos) pub with plenty of heavy wood forming the interior and a feeling you have stepped back in time. Apart from the TV on the wall which thankfully was not on while I was there. Soft seats were a pleasant surprise compared to the wooden benches you frequently find in similarly themed pubs. I was there for lunch, and arrived just after 12.00pm, to discover I was the only customer. However by the time I left @13.15 there wasnt a seat to be had in the place. Clearly I wasn't the only one who thought their varied lunch menu was excellent. Friendly service and reasonable prices will bring me back there in the future. I have no idea what it is like at night as I've never been, but for lunch 5 stars.

Very cosy inn with a good choice of ales and pub food. We tried the chips and they were very good, loved the ales too. Also worth mentioning that the staff were attentive, friendly and happy, which brought a good vibe to our trip experience. The live music started when we had lo leave but I hope to enjoy it next time around when I am back to amazing Dublin.

Visited on Saturday the 12th with friends and was a bit shocked at how packed it was inside given the current circumstances. Tables were placed back to back of each no social distancing evident. Our waiter pulled down his mask when taking our order at our table which makes no sense. Also the toilets were filthy, there was literally poop on the floor in the corridor that I had to point out to a staff member. Would not recommend visiting during covid

Worst service in the history of mankind. Make sure you order 30mins before you actually want your drinks. And make sure to double check what you get - I waited 30mins for a teapot...another 10mins for my teabag...and another 10mins for the right teabag. Same with beers, cocktails...everything took forever to come. Haven't heard waiters apologise so much in my life. Total lack of organisation. Mayhem. Sure the decor is impressive but that's about the only impressive thing about the place.

We visited during the lunchtime and there were seats available. We waited for food for around 15 minutes, but the wait was definitely worth it, the food was absolutely amazing. We ordered beef and guinness pie, open steak sandwich and a 10 OZ beef burger. All dishes came with some salad and chips.

Lovely pub in an tourist area. Staff were lovely and they have a good selection of pints. There are buses and dart pretty close. There are other two nice pubs around so I'd recommend a pub crawl around the area. Everybody working with masks, hand sanitizer at the door. Definitely recommend a stop there.

lovely little place very charismatic Service was very good once they realized I was there the food was good as was the beer I mean it wasn’t the most memorable meal I’ve ever had but it hit the spot after a long long journey from the west coast of the USA As you’ll see from the photograph they had the most old-fashioned and clean Urinals I had to take a photo haven’t seen those since the 1950s

  • 5/5 Bryan T. 1 year ago on Google
Visiting from the US and I just wanted a lamb stew and a beer and this place delivered. As soon as I walked in a waitress sat me down with a menu and promptly took my order after a couple minutes. The lamb stew took a little while to come out but it came out perfect. Paired it with a half pint of Guinness and did some people watching out the large window, not much more I could ask for!

Stopped in here on St Pats day, and got to sit outside and watch the parade of people going into town and out. The pints were decent and we bought some chips too, but it just felt like it was missing a little something. Nice location though.

What a lovely establishment. The pub was lovely, and the staff were so kind and friendly. Shauna is a wonderful wonderful waitress. She and Jess kept our children entertained the entire time and accommodated all of our requests. We loved the Irish stew and the meat pie. The fries were perfectly cooked. Excellent meal and excellent staff. Would go back to try their specials (they are known for their fried pork belly).

No food this evening. Not sure what they serve. But had a packet of O' Donnells salt and vinegar ( locally known as saw finger ) and they hit the spot.
