Not a bad spot, have frequented here often. However, I was there last night and had an awful time, the bar staff were absolutely awful and were carrying on in an air of their own self entitlement. One thing you do not want in a pub is to feel like you're there at the leisure of the staff. They refused to serve myself and my friend for no particular reason at all, and when I asked them why they simply couldn't answer. A very embarrassing and belittling experience, and something I wouldn't wish on anyone else. Would strongly recommend not giving this pub your business, solely based on the staff.

Great pint of Guinness. Definitely in the top 3 pints in Ireland. Pub back from the 1800. Land mark in Dublin. Get in there

First pub I hit when I landed in Dublin. Great space, loved the bar. Seating was plenty. I'll need to go back when back in Ireland!

Lovely Guinness and nice venue, but the bouncers ruin the vibe. Ahole 'system' on a Sunday whereby they stop people going into the back bar area... unless you're female & good looking. Best bouncers are like referrees in sport, you shouldn't notice them. These guys are the opposite, craving attention. Avoid.

Go here regularly on a Sunday and always have great craic. Last night all the staff were great again however the owner was extremely rude and stepped out of line grabbing stools off customers rather than speaking to them nicely and asking them to move.

My husband was kicked out for literally.... dancing (everybody was dancing). He was not drunk or causing any trouble. I was there the whole time watching the scene and it was bizarre. The bouncer just grabbed him in the middle of dancefloor and dragged him out for no reason at all.

Decent place. Football was on so it was loud and hard to have a conversation over our 6€ beers.

Went in on a whim. Amazing atmosphere and also had live music with violin, harp and bodhran etc. Busy but seemed to be filled with very friendly people. Plenty of noise from the chatting revelers and the live traditional music. The pub is narrow but very very deep with plenty of seating and tables down the far back too. I would certainly visit again.

Went in to Cassidy's last night after dinner with friends for a couple of drinks. Got seats and were having a great time catching up with each other. The service was great for the most part. However the end of the night was ruined by the bar man with the beard. He was aggressive and unprofessional actually bumped into me on purpose while I was in the process of walking to the door he needs to lay off the testosterone. I won't be going back lots of choice in the area.

One of the most popular and long-standing pubs on Camden St. Well run old style pub with good service and traditional music at weekends.

After an evening of pints in O'Connells up the road in Portobello, Cassidy pints of Guinness were decidely lacking. I would not be crossing town eagerly looking forward to pints of the quality I was served on Friday night.

Even though they have displayed all kinds of liquor up on the bar, they said they don’t have any cocktails or mixed drinks. Sorry I don’t drink beer I guess. (People next to me were having mixed drinks btw)

Love the bar, was early so quite quiet but the barman, Robbie, was very pleasant and divided his time between all customers on the premises, very impressed with everything, A+

It was a good visit. I and my friends spent hours here. There is enough space to sit and relax. The bar is maintained very well. The staffs are good. We tried a few different cocktails 🍹 and it was good. And of course the Guinness beer 🍻 Over all we liked it.

Lovely old fashioned Dublin pub with warm wood panelled interior. Great place to meet for a chat. No loud music. Great pint of Guinness. It's the only pub on the Camden mile that doesn't have Neanderthal bouncers on the door

No better place in Dublin for traditional Irish music (every Sunday). Rake the Ashes are something else. They have the whole place hopping. If you haven't experienced it, it's a must see in Dublin.

We stayed in Dublin for a couple days while on vacation, and this place was right across the street from where we were staying. Bartenders are so friendly and welcoming. Great beer and great atmosphere. Hoping to visit again when we are back in Ireland.

A nice pub at the top of Camden Street. Probably one of the better places to get a quiet pint in that part of town. The bar goes way back and there’s plenty of seating. The staff were friendly and the Guinness was excellent.

Cassidy's is a decent old style Irish bar at the top of Camden street. Horse racing on in the corner, and a decent pint of Guinness. Good mix of people, and really gets busy with the after work folks getting together for a drink.
