Was brought year after year to the crib almost 60 years ago.. now absolutely love bringing my granddaughter. She's fascinated by it! We went week after week last year and she's now on countdown to November... hopefully donations will keep coming and try to keep this Dublin tradition alive ...

An annual visitation event for our family. Lovely displays the kids find fun and amusing. The dog who rescued people from the liffey is our favourite.

Very old but maintained fairly. A one time experience..not charged. But voluntary donations and proper support could help revive the fell and stuffs for few more years.

What a delightful experience. Last Sunday visited and brought a friend. I had been there years ago, always remembered being mesmerized by all the scenes. The carvings, the figurines, the dress of that period the sets the props and the movements all added to the story the told and made it very authentic. The layout was good, almost like being in an underground cave. There was an aura of peace and prayerfulness. Noah arc a lovely replica and those animals in pairs were great. The story of Moses and the 10 commandments, Daniel in the lions den all magnificently displayed. The dolls house impressive. The children's table and leaf painting to be added to others a nice idea. The illusion wall unique a modern touch with the Domican selfie. The gift shop had a great selection of items for Xmas gifts.Another lovely experience was the Bray gospel choir,in the little chapel.Long may this exhibition continue. Well done to all involved. A very thankful visitor.

Visited this today with my mother. I hadn't been there since I was a little girl, and Mam brought my niece there when she was a tot. We were delighted to see it had retained its charm and the original moving figures were still working. The faces on the people and animals are beautiful with great expressions. Also very moving is the preserved body of Fred, a dog who lived in the Priory and jumped into the river three times to save people from drowning. Great new ideas to amuse kids too: colouring books, life-size cardboard cut-outs with missing faces (for posing for selfies) and bubblewrap panels with a notice inviting kids to burst them (all the bubblewrap had been burst when we we there around lunchtime; we reckoned the friars had a busy morning replacing it). There's also a gift shop selling beautiful religious gifts, and an exhibition of genuine Crolly and Pedigree dolls, and the young people working in the shop and guiding visitors to the crib were very knowledgeable. We ended our visit with a few prayers to St Martin in the beautiful little chapel. The St Martin Apostolate, where the crib, Chapel and shop are based, is very conveniently located right across from the Rotunda Hospital, two doors up from the Kevin Barry centre - and the Number 155 bus (Bray - Ballymun) stops right outside.

Great family experience, kids and adults together will love it. You wouldn't expect the exposition is this big, loads of scenes from The Bible, Annunciation, Salome dance, busy Bethleiem, angels meeting shepards etc. are leading to the beautifull Nativity Scene. There is also a lot of different little stories like Santi going up and down the chimney, Adam & Eve in the Paradise and best of all Noes Ark. There is a downside though - air dust filters are badly needed here as some people I was visiting with has to leave very quickly as the can't breath from the amount of dust in the air. So be avare if you have asthma or other breathing difficulties, otherwise highly reccomend!

Have been here twice in recent years with kids and visited myself as a child. They loved it. Its free to visit with any donations accepted. Lovely chapel and gift shop on ground floor too. Lovely staff. A great place to spend an hour or more if you wanted. great for educating children about bible stories and its so different. Small enough to keep their interest. Place for colouring and plenty of information boards. Happy to support it. We will be back for some communion gifts and no doubt next christmas again as part of our trip into the city lights.
