This is an overpriced joke of a hotel. Location is perfect, but that’s it. We booked three nights this June, but received an email (3 days notice) that they’ve cancelled our check-out date and we’d have to leave earlier. The main reason is because the hotel is making room for Ukrainian refugees. Clearly the hotel took the government’s higher offer and guaranteed long term tenants. There was literally nothing in Dublin that was under €150 a night so we had to book an expensive, last-minute hostel for the exact same price we paid here. Because we had to check-out earlier, we had to bring our bags on 15hr tour across Ireland before checking-in at the next place. We were not impressed at all. Aside from that, the room was very dirty and I don’t think it’s been dusted in months, maybe years. Went to hang our wet clothes on the shelves and it got covered in so much dust. TV didn’t work either. Hot water tap is unbelievably sensitive and hard to find the correct temperature. It’s either ice cold or Satan is licking your back. Although there was no issues, I also found it weird paying in cash and didn’t receive a receipt in return.

Turned up walked in the room and was shocked to how small and dusty it was tv not working and no WiFi. But worse of all someone before us left a massive log down the loo so clealy not been cleaned. And hair in the shower. But the receptionist was very helpful and we got a total refund. (Book at own risk)

Absolutely desperate service. Not withstanding the rude barman with glasses, beard and ponytail behind the bar. He was clearly tired but most of all rude and appeared not to enjoy the job. He Clearly doesn't have the ability or the experience as a bar man to work behind a bar. That said being from Dublin we have frequented the Clifton Court for many years (over 25 yrs) and this by far was an absolute disgrace. Had some food which was under cooked and had some drinks with same. Selection of wine is mini bottles of the worse tasting wine you can think of. After that my wife decided to order a double Bailey's but when I informed the bar tender that i thought his pour was a little short of the actual measurement he replied by saying he wasn't changing it and I could take it or leave it. Of couse i left the some 13 euro drink on the bar. Tge Bailey's itself was full of ice but poured back into the bottle. Having informed him that this was wrong i was pretty much informed that ill see exactly what was going to be done with that Bailey's as he poured it back into bottle. Toilets by the way were fairly smelly, no toilet roll and toilet doors have no locks. Tbh while we were there we overhear a conversation with another punter ( clearly Dublin Folk) having a simple complaint they looked frustrated. Again it looked like anytging they had to say was falling on deaf ears. Wasn't sure but I wondered was it language barrier with staff. I will be avoiding for a ong time unfortunately. Absolute failure in standards as there is much better restaurants and bars only two minutes away. Sorry guys but you really need to do much much better.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Don't have me wrong, it's a decent hotel if you need to stay one night in Dublin for a concert or something. It's in a good location, close to a lot of cafés and restaurants. Staff weren't unpleasant. The room wasn't dirty but it didn't smell fresh and clean like a hotel should. Shower took 20 minutes to heat up. In the middle of the night, somebody working here gave a RANDOM STRANGER my bedroom key. Left me feeling grossly uncomfortable and unsafe. Didn't sleep for the rest of the night

After reading the reviews myself before my stay I was expecting the worst but hopeful for the best and unfortunately the hotel exceeded my expectations of how bad it was.The only good thing about this hotel is the central location. Receptionist was very nice and welcoming. Overall it is a very small closed in claustrophobic space with hand prints and blood stains on the bedroom walls. The bathroom was very tiny and had no soap. The window was open and did not close. The room was extremely cold and the surroundings very noisy. Would not recommend this hotel!

Pros: friendly and very helpful staff. Stored our luggage until our room was ready. Very central location. Bed was comfy. Cons: Tiny room. Room was disgustingly dirty and full of dust. Bathroom you can barely move in with no soap to wash your hands. Wallpaper peeling off the walls, mould everywhere. No lift so had to walk up to the top floor with heavy suitcases. Light switch for the room didn’t turn on.

I stayed Clifton Court, when I first irraved Ireland, (broken TV into rooms, no internet into rooms, I asked to pay extremely high price that time for some 2 weeks in row). When I asked, to extend my staying for some weeks, they asked me to pay extremely big money!! For hotel, which (rooms does not offer internet, have broken TV). The reception that time (some young lady), extremely gossip, [I catch them on scene], to gossip me with her manager!! I had always to go down stairs, to the room next to reception for having (internet!!) Despite the hot spot location, and great rooms, some people must to educate their self on body language!!!

Best location. Small room. Bathroom needs a revamp. Shower tiny but hot water. Good enough for a night. Bed quite comfy and clean sheets. It's ok for the price and location

Horrible place and suuuper over priced, stayed one night, paid 95€. Rooms really dirty, mold around the room, wallpaper ripping off the walls. Only cold water available in the shower. The toilet in my room wasn't flushing. Bed hard as a rock and you could feel the strings, TV not working. Rooms are tiny and there was a huge gap between the door and the frame. Light switch wasn't working. We were given a door code that doesn't even work, we were charged before we could even say hi. There is no lift in the hotel and the stairways are very tiny. The higher you went with the floors, the smaller the stairway was. Location is very good and the staff was ok. Other than that. Stay away from this place!

We chose this place because it was central due to my walking difficulties. We were put on 4th floor with no lift which was a struggle. The room was functional but the plug extension didn't look safe. However, bed was comfortable and bedding smelt lovely so was glad of a clean bed. Shower wasn't brilliant. Lots of seagull poo on windows but only stayed one night.

A clean room is about as far as I would venture in terms of a positive review. A dodgy shower, tight corridors in which the carpeting has seen much better days. Most of all, it is a very noisy location, which if you're a city-dweller, you may tolerate but for someone who lives in a semi rural setting, it is impossible to sleep after 06:00 hrs.

Cheap and cheerful. Room was clean, bed was nice. Hotel is central to everything so it's handy for city breaks. Only issue I really had was with the terrible shower. Water was either freezing cold or skin melting hot hard to get a comfortable temp, shower head was also old and in need or replacement.

Absolutely loved this place and unfortunately due to covid it closed down, then delighted to hear it was taken over by a new owner, had the best night the first time we went back, and then so sorry to say it was so awful after that, felt like second class citizens, bottom line, if you are not a student I wouldn't bother!!!

Overpriced for what the hotel offers. Only advantage is the location in the very centre of Dublin. Room was tidy however not really modern or appealing. Blankets were of good comfort. It resembled for me a fancier hostel. Narrow stairs, take care
