We liked (1) the fantastic location. Almost everything and everywhere fun was walking distance. (2) the breakfast area. Bright, airy and cozy. If one has to leave before 8am, the lodge is kind enough to opens up the breakfast area early for you (but no cooked breakfast) (3) nice cozy decor. What we didn’t like (1) The triple room was tiny. So small that we couldn’t find space to put our luggage bags. (2) Dublin hotel rooms for tourists are really overpriced in general. A big deterrent for a return trip.

it was a very last minute booking but I was overall very satisfied with the service. the breakfast service was also impressive (did not expect much tbh). the neighbourhood might not be the “nicest” but it’s a convenient location close to Connolly train station. clean rooms, very friendly staff and luggage storage for free.

a small cosy amazing hotel that was very good value only 110 euro at the time for one night only before and early morning flight from airport, staff were friendly and room was small but very cosy had all amenities said on website. early morning continental breakfast at 6 was well laid out in lovely quiet area in basement. only problem was the carpets in room were old and peeling off as well as trying to get into main building without ringing bell. I'll definitely be back here especially if I need to catch a Dublin airport flight as the 41 bus takes you there in only half hour.

We were set to stay for three nights. We checked in and stayed all of 15 minutes before deciding that this hotel was too unsafe for us as travelers. The service we experienced was terrifying and completely different from what the hotel portrays online to visiting guests. Upon arrival, the person checking us in mentioned that our room was right next to reception. We had interpreted this as meaning it was down the hall. We were still apprehensive as we were three young females and the first floor is not the safest place to be located. As we tried to make our way to our room, the man told us our room was RIGHT next to reception. I literally had one foot in the check-in area and one foot in the entryway to our room. We didn't even make it in the room before I asked to be moved to a new space due to safety and how uncomfortable it made us. He said it wasn't an option but to go inside and see how the room was. We tried to do so and made it through the first door. My friend tried to lock the first door but was met with someone aggressively trying to get into our room and yanking on the door handle...it was the man that checked us in! It was frightening. He was trying to assure us no one could get into our room without the key..which he clearly had access to. Not only were we made extremely uncomfortable by this man, but the fact that everyone that needs to get into/out of the hotel has to walk past our room, and the fact that everyone checking in can hear our conversations due to the shared wall our room had with reception made us very uneasy. This was extremely disappointing and stressful to deal with so late at night. You should be ashamed of the facade that is displayed online versus what facilities you actually offer. When we pulled up there were empty liquor bottles lining the front steps of the property. It was damp, musty, and dated. The location is awful, with lots of drunks and sketchy people walking by. It was one of the filthiest parts of the city we experienced.

I liked to share my experience after my staying in Gardiner Lodge. - From the reception desk, cleaninless of room, kitchen service and the whole environment. Were 100% professionalism, very friendly, very warm welcome and always 100% available to help - assist in any problem!! - Cleanliness room, TV - WiFi perfect!! - The kitchen breakfast (full breakfast), real delicious and amazing!! - Real quite!! - Location, (10 - 15 min walk to city centre). - I paid (the deposit, as they asked, no bank card. After I let them know, for my departure, they return my deposit back!!) - The money, where I paid, real worth it (even with discount they did!!) Thank you very much, you make my staying very warm!! I wish you have Happy Holidays and a great NYE!! Hope New Year 2022, to finds you more busy than ever before!!

Hidden Gem. 😀 I work in Dublin a few times a month and trying to find somewhere to stay that is great value and really amazing is very difficult.. but this is one 😀 the rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable. The entire buildings decor is very classy. This place is also super clean which Is hard to find in any hotel. Everyone working here can not do enough for you. Always happy and very helpful. You will not leave hungry in the morning as their breakfast is top class.

Excellent condition, modern room facilities. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. We'd read the reviews, but it has exceeded our expectations. Conveniently located. Clean, warm and very well maintained.

My partner and I stayed here our first night in Ireland. Walking distance to many interesting and historic places in Dublin, really cool common areas, small but very comfortable rooms. Sebastian at reception was the kindest and friendliest host, he allowed us to leave our bags before check-in since we didn't have a car and were walking around in town. He also let us swap rooms, the first one was larger and a little nicer but it was in the basement and right up front so it would be a bit loud at night, no problem at all.

Top location, very friendly and helpful staff. Our bedroom 'Charles' room" was comfortable with large bathroom. Close to central Dublin. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

Forget everywhere else, stay here!!! If my wife and I could write more stars we would. The staff at this B&B went out of their way to make our stay extremely comfortable. The front desk staff was available to assist with recommendations, and calling a taxi for us several times. The room was always clean and the breakfasts were delicious! We will be recommending this place to anyone that asks!!

We spent our last night here after staying in a beautiful boutique hotel on the other side of the river. This hotel is clean , and well decorated. Staff attentive and delicious breakfast. However the location and neighborhood is sketchy. We didn’t feel safe walking back to hotel at night , although city center is only 10 min located . Unfortunately we stayed the night of the riots and saw the mobs walking passing our hotel. That didn’t happen on the other side of the river . It’s really expensive for the area where it is located . Room was located facing Main Street with a lot of noise at night. You can find quiter better alternatives for same price on the list touristic area .

We stayed at this lovely little spot in September 2023. The staff is attentive and friendly. The public spaces are clean and comfortable and filled with books and photos of Irish historic interest. It's a little out of the city center but that means less noise and less traffic so it was perfect for us. It's an easy walk to grocery stores, an off license, and the tram and commuter rail. The room we had was a bit small but very clean and nicely updated. The complementary breakfast options are superb and the dining room is lovely and quiet with amazing staff. We will recommend this spot to anyone visiting Dublin and try to stay here next time we are in town.

Wonderful place to stay. Location is just the best. Rooms very quiet despite hotel being right in the middle of the city. Comfortable beds. Most Excellent breakfast. Staff is helpful, kind, accomodating, friendly! What else to wish for? Out of all my stays at Dublin this is the best. I will be staying again!

Very clean rooms, cozy atmosphere, and wonderful breakfast with fresh eggs to your liking. Close enough to the red and green Luas lines, and a short walk to Connelly station. Great place to stay!

tldr: the staff is excellent and so is the morning breakfast. perfect location in the city. excellent shower water pressure. pro tip: ask for a room with bigger shower. would love to stay again! i stayed here twice. first time was immaculate; though my room window faced a sidewalk, it wasn't busy and was very quiet at night. it also had a bigger shower area (room x7). second time, there was a large yellow stain on the sheets and small hairs on the duvet, which makes me wonder if they were fresh. they promptly changed everything and it was a great experience overall. the shower in the second room (room x5) was like a phone booth size.

A lovely place to stay for a weekend trip. Breakfast is great. You must have the Full Irish, it really sets you up for the day! Reception staff were brilliant and very informative. They have luggage storage which is a great option, so you can go and explore straight away. Our room was a little on the small size, but it is an old building so should be expected. But the rooms were lovely and clean. There is a nice sitting area and terrace area available to use outside your room, which is a lovely feature to have for some needed peace and quiet.

The breakfast is pretty tight and Sebastian is a legend. I have never felt more close to a receptionist. He made me feel alive.

We absolutely loved our stay here! At €85 a night with breakfast, it is really worth it. I even wished I could stay more. If you want a home away from home, this is the place. The hotel from the outside seems like a small place with nothing much to offer but I was completely proven wrong. The receptionists are so friendly and told us everything we needed to know. We went up to our room and it was so clean and well laid out. There was so much tea and coffee to last us for days! There were also two bottles of water which is good for those who don’t drink tap water. The room was really cosy and warm which was needed as the weather was dreadful that day. The bathroom was also super clean but we did notice a weird smell (sort of like stale urine) but we overlooked it as we were into there for 1 night. The carpet also had a weird smell (probably as a result of the vacuuming) but that was minor. Reception also picks up calls really quickly which is great. The breakfast was table service but there was a buffet of cereals and drinks. I enjoyed it but I do wish they would ask how we want our eggs done as mine came really runny so I had to return it. Overall, this hotel is somewhere I would recommend if you want the hotel experience but also a more homely feeling also. The location is also exceptional- 6 mins walk to O’Connell Street and The Spire

Great little hotel. very attentive, helpful staff. Lovely breakfast. Close to things. Rooms small. No elevator!! So had difficulty with our big suitcase up the 2 flights of stairs.

Really nice place to stay.... its obviously been recently renovated as everything is very new and fresh, lovely decor throughout. Very helpful staff from waitresses to front desk. Good security around it too. Free WiFi which works very well. Rooms are on the small side which is to be expected for an innercity location but are very comfortable and well finished. A 3 min walk to GPO so convenient to all city centre attractions and Connolly train station. Highly recommended!
