Our experience was absolutely terrible, from the beginning we had lots of issues. 1. On the website it had mentioned that they have opening hours at reception from 8am/9am so we got there at 9:05 and there was no one there to let us in so that we could leave our bags, instead someone else that was staying there let us in. 2. On the website it clearly states that check-in was 2pm. We got there and the lady said it was 3pm which should have been highlighted beforehand. 3. When we got into our rooms, there were no toiletries as stated when booking and neither a coffee/tea maker. 4. The central heating was not in our control and was only being kept on for an hour which is ridiculous especially as it was freezing cold in our room. 5. The overall cleanliness was appalling, there was mold on the ceiling, the overall area was not clean and it was definitely not what I was expecting. 6. This next point is a serious flag for concern. We had booked two separate rooms but the key for another room was the same as ours which meant that anyone could have entered our room without permission! This is a massive breach of security and I can't believe that they can get away with this. Fix this!!! 7. The overall attitude from those at reception was disgraceful. We were made to feel like they just didn't care about us and definitely didn't feel welcoming at all. 8. Lastly, I wouldn't recommend anyone stay at this hotel as it's genuinely not worth the money that we spent.

We stayed for three days and two nights. (Click on profile for images taken of hotel) We knew we could leave our bags at the B&B so having had a 6:35 am flight and arriving at the hotel for 9:00 we were surprised to see no one at the front desk. To add insult to injury (one of many for this), we were let in not by a staff member but by a guest who was going to breakfast. Once we entered the hotel we then waiting a further 10 minutes for anybody to be at the front desk, after a while a lady did show up and we explained that we had been waiting for over 15 minutes. The responses are as follows: 1. You should have called the number on the front door (we did that multiple times). 2. You should have rung the doorbell (we did again until the guest of the hotel let us in) 3. We start at 9:05am, when we explained that we were here from 9am we were then told that they actually start at 9:10. Which again we were there. Also, worth noting that we mentioned we would be back at 2pm (as stated on the site) to check in. NOPE, check in is at 3pm. We flagged this as it's stated on the site (Hotels.com and other sites) as 2pm. This did screw us up as we had planned to travel somewhere for 4pm and the timing now meant we wouldn't be able to check in till 7pm in the evening. Meaning the hours grace to freshen up that we planned around the hotel time was completely useless given the 1:30 am start we had. Now to the room: 1. THE BIGGEST FLAG IS SECURITY – SLEEP WITH THE KEY IN YOUR DOOR LOCK OR A WEGDE UNDER THE DOOR. My key opened my room and my friends room. This is seriously a joke, it was so daunting to think that any idiot could just decide to use their key to enter your room. Luckily, our rooms were close BUT for families I would think again. 2. No second shower door (see images) so the floor got all wet. When flagged to reception the lady pointed behind here and laughed as she said "Yeh the doors behind me but the maintenance guy won't be here today". SOOOOOO, my question is why didn't I just get a room that was a bit safer, not my Slip N Slide floor. 3. There was not heating and in my room even if there was there no temperature control, and to prove hopw cold it was I took a picture of my windows in the morning. 4.I’m not even making this up but see for yourself from my images, blood on my blinds. 5. I left a note at reception for my room to have new towels (as I need my bathroom floor to remain slip free) so I also asked for my bed to be made up, which it was. Now bear in mind we left the hotel to go sight seeing at 8am the next day and did not arrive back till 5pm to freshen up. My room has been re-done as asked, but my friend’s room was just left as is, no new towels, nothing. SO ASK FOR WHAT YOU NEED HERE. To summarise: 1. Check-in times are wrong 2. Facilities are not the best (see images) 3. Need to ask for room equipment (new towels/bed to be done) 4. BIGGEST FLAG - Safety is not great with universal keys Thats why its two stars

Since we arrived the receptionist was very kind and friendly. The room is very clean and so is the bathroom, the bed is very comfortable. The prices are very affordable to stay a few weeks while you find definitive accommodation in a rental room.

I completely recommend it! Good location, good room, but the best thing of the hotel definitely are the two women in the reception. They are completely amazing and nice, they helped me when my boyfriend was sick and were absolutely kind the hole time, thank you for everything girls!

Unfortunately the overall experience was very negative. Condition of the room was acceptable, cleanliness was alright and amenities were decent (everything you need soap, toilet paper, cattle with cups etc etc) The only good thing was the location. What really made the experience negative was the reception service and user friendliness. When we checked in during the day they informed us that after 23:00 h we need to use a code to open the front door and enter the hallway, as there is no one at reception. We then went for an evening out and once back as per instruction we entered the code multiple times (around 1 a.m.) however the door was blocked and beeping but not opening. There are two phone numbers (one left at the reception door and one you see on the front door ) we tried calling both but no one picks up. We slept on the ground in front of the door hoping that someone will open for us on time to catch our flight at 11:30.. luckily at around 6a.m. in the morning two guests were leaving and opened the door for us on their way out .. if it wasn’t for this we would have not caught our flight as reading other reviews no one shows up at the reception until some time past 9:00 :( as per the other reviews I notice that we were not the only ones this happened to, which makes me confident we did everything correctly and the door opening was deactivated, seems others were lucky and someone opened for them sooner so they didn’t have to sleep on the ground, however you can only imagine the stress and discomfort one goes through when they are locked outside and there is no one to help.. I would not recommend unfortunately and I urge the accommodation owner to revise this late check-in/entry procedure and ensure everything works well from technical point of view to avoid this happening to more guests in the future..

Great experience, very cozy place to stay. The room was clean and quiet. Easy access to the city center, less than five minutes to get to O'Connell street.

Grand room small but clean as for the staff zero willingness to help with anything and god forbid ya ask them for anything after ya give em the key back. Rude people working there well at least the one woman I dealt with

The rooms are very small. No ventilation,no air conditioning, only the window onto the street. VERY noisy. Noise starts 3.30 am. Birds trucks and people. Hard to sleep. Staff are friendly, However, they did not service our rooms over a 3 day stay. Showers are very good, hot water, but small. If you are a person above average size, you will find the showers difficult. Walking distance to City.

We stayed over the weekend, the room was small but really nice and clean. The position I think is really good as it's a 10 min walk to the centre but you have lots of cafes and restaurants all around the hotel.

The room itself was a bit small, but for the price, it is fairly nice. Comfortable bed, towels, and heater. The shower was a bit cramped, but the water was very hot. Front desk was very helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend for a low cost stay in Dublin.

The room was absolutely freezing. The TV in the room didn't want to turn on and when I say it to stuff the just handed us 4 other remote controls and none of the worked either. The level of street noise was absolutely horrendous very bad sleep

Grubby and tatty, our ensuite bathroom had a blocked toilet throughout our stay, someone battering at our door in the middle of the night and scratching from what sounded like a rat or dog (?). Trying to complain is hopeless as they simply dont answer.

Clean and there is what we need. A sink, a bed, a window, a tv. When i booked, this hotel was by far the cheapest options to others hotels in Dublin.

Would not recommend!! I have to say that I was highly disappointed in the bed and breakfast so much that we checked out early and found a different hotel. We had several issues with the room. To start out with the room was run down and in bad shape. The furniture was old and worn. The bedding had stains on it and the bathroom had a moldy smell to it. We couldn't get the TV to work. Also they have a keypad to allow entry after a certain time and when we tried to use it it would not work. Luckily there was a guest in entrance that opened the door for us otherwise not sure how we would have gotten in.

We booked it for 2 nights and we arrived in the place at 2pm as what it says on website about checking in which is 2pm. I have my online class at 02.30pm so I need to be somewhere that has internet. Surprisingly, when we arrived the receptionist who let us waited after 6 door bells in the door before she answered it, she said our room is not ready until 3pm. Another thing, the off site parking which it says free on website, we have to pay £10 every 3 hours and the most annoying part when I asked about what time is breakfast the receptionist said ''we do not serve breakfast''. I was really stress because I have my early English exam the next morning and I need a breakfast that is why I booked in BnB. We ended leaving the place right away and stayed in other place. We got 1 night refund which is okay.

Beds were lovely room was very clean and good location but smell 0f smoke in our room was horrible. We are nonsmokers. . Our room was at the very top floor and they had fire escape opened and people were chatting outside on the exit during the night. The boiler was broken when we arrived and again in morning. Very hard to feel comfortable when you have an exit door which people can get in at night right beside us and very little running water. If this wasnt good location and clean I would not rate it 1 star.

We had a very nice time at the B&B hotel. There was a very nice blond lady at the reception. The room and bathroom were clean. And it was not cold in the room. The central heating gets on in the early evening.
