I'd tried several different group sessions over the years, but never managed to feel comfortable or more precisely confident enough to actually take a breath. My fear of the water was a deep as the ocean having had a terrifying experience as a child, but I was determined to finally crack this particular nut, this summer. I found Turner Swim online and the location coupled with the convenient timing of sessions, gave me no excuses. Right from my first lesson with Rachel, I was feeling more comfortable and a little more confident, and very much looking forward to my next lessons, finally feeling that I might actually overcome my fear and manage to learn to swim this time round. Within a few weeks, I was competently swimming backstroke, thanks to the patience and encouragement of both Rachel and Andrew. Over on my front has always been the bane of my attempts to learn. Again though, through these two trainers, they've enabled me to gain confidence, broken down the technique to such an extend that I can finally say, shortly I'll be swimming front crawl competently too. BIG THANKS to Rachel and Andrew, I couldn't recommend them more highly, I can honestly say they provide lifestyle changing swimming lessons.

I found Andrew's swimming lessons absolutely fantastic. Although I had been swimming for years I had never learned the proper breathing technique and was afraid of putting my face in the water. Andrew is such a positive, encouraging teacher and the programme is so well designed, I was amazed at how easy it was to overcome my fears with the right instruction, and it's great to feel you are achieving goals at each lesson. After a block of five lessons I'm now swimming confidently and doing multiple lengths with the right breathing technique. I'm thrilled at my progress and I'm enjoying swimming so much more. I'd highly recommend Andrew to anyone who wants to improve their swimming.

I always wanted to learn to swim but I was too nervous. I discovered Turner swim Dublin and I decided to give it a go, I am absolutely delighted I did. I booked 10 lessons after speaking with Andrew who answered all my questions and was a pleasure to deal with. My lessons were with Rachel who is an exceptional teacher with a friendly ,enthusiastic ,encouraging and professional approach. When I met Rachel for my first lesson she immediately put me at ease and any nerves I had disappeared. So now having completed my 10 lessons I have achieved above and way beyond my expectations, this would not have been possible without the patience and expertise of Rachel. I am so delighted to have found this swimming programme and would have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone who wants to learn, improve or perfect their swimming technique.

Had a 121 lesson with Manoela. Even after a week of practicing the drills and technique that Manoela has given me my speed has increased. Well worth the price.

I took the Learning to swim program with Rachael mostly and had a great experience here. I had absolutely no swimming knowledge and had put off learning to swim for years until age 28. The lessons are well laid out with a good amount of things to get you comfortable but also push you to learn something new each lesson. The pool is great and perfect for a beginner, shallow and quiet and too much chlorine either. By the end of the lessons I was comfortable swimming front crawl and back stroke lengths at will. I'll definitely return for advanced lessons in the future.

Have just finished a course of 10 lessons in Dublin and am really happy with the result. I don't often write reviews, but in this instance I think its important - being able swim is a skill worth having for multiple reasons!! And I feel ready to go the pool by myself to practice what I have learnt and aim to become a more competent swimmer. My instructor was Rachel - she was excellent - friendly, encouraging, able critique every aspect in a very constructive manner and luckily for me never tired of reiterating instructions in a thoughtful way. Definitely recommend the lessons. And as an added bonus, they take place in the Marker Hotel swimming pool which is a beautiful pool :)

The lessons with Andrew at Turner Swim are a thoroughly rewarding experience. Andrew is an extremely patient and apt teacher. Prior to taking swimming lessons with Turner Swim, I found front crawl to be quite daunting and technical and felt I had reached the limit of my capability. However, even after a few lessons, I feel that my stroke has improved greatly and more importantly, I am swimming with a much greater degree of enjoyment and confidence. I would have no hesitation in recommending Turner Swim to anyone who is looking to improve their swimming abilities or even learning to swim for the first time.

I completed the learning to swim program with Andrew and really enjoyed it and no longer dread going on holidays and minding the bags, as I'll be going swimming too! Facilities in the Marker are fantastic and the pool is really good to learn, with no deep end. Andrew was always patient and always ensured that we achieved a milestone each lesson, even if I didn't arrive for the lesson with the best attitude every time! I intend going back for a few more lessons to build on my confidence and would recommend this to anyone looking to learn to swim, at any age.

I started lessons with Andrew after having tried a couple of different ways of improving my swimming. 7 lessons ago I was barely able to swim one length of the pool without feeling that I may never breath again. Now I am completing 400m's and feeling great doing it!! Andrews style is really relaxed and although he does push you I have never felt under pressure or uncomfortable. A few weeks ago I silently hoped one day I may complete a sprint triathlon and with Andrews coaching I actually think it may happen sooner than I thought!!

Iโ€™m coming here to leave my bit of inspiration to those, like once I was myself, dreaming of being able to swim but too afraid to try. Taking this lessons was the best decision I have ever made. Alice, her technique, patience and empathy changed my life. For too long I postponed the decision of overcoming a childhood trauma that granted me aquaphobia and when I tried taking lessons in another place, unfortunately the experience with the coach only aggravated the trauma. Finding Turner Swim and taking the water confidence course helped me feel more comfortable in water. I proceeded to beginner swimming course and in my last lesson I actually swam without any floating gear, which was unimaginable for me at the start of this year. Thank you so much, Alice, for your fantastic work. Iโ€™m hoping to be able to come back in 2024!

I was delighted to find Turner Swim Dublin this year. Their online booking platform offers private one-to-one lessons at convenient times. The Marker Hotel is a fantastic place to learn how to swim. The pool is never overcrowded and also not too deep which is ideal for starting out and building confidence in the water. I completed the Learn to Swim programme with Alice. Alice is an exceptional swim coach. She is positive, calm, and patient with a great eye for detail. Thanks to Alice's guidance I achieved my long-time goal of completing an Ironman triathlon this year. The thought of learning how to swim as an adult can be scary, but in the right environment and support it can be a very confidence-boosting experience. I would highly recommend Turner Swim Dublin to anyone looking to learn how to swim or improve their technique.
