    I had the good fortune to come across SF Fitness seven years ago. I was middle-aged, yo-yo dieting and unhappy with how I felt and looked. I did not know what to do next but I knew something had to change. SF Fitness changed my life. From day one the coaches listened to what I wanted and helped me set realistic and achievable goal. You get your initial programme which is regularly reviewed to meet your needs so you always feel you are progressing and building on your achievements. The benefits of being a member, for me, are many. I now have a healthy relationship with food, yo-yo dieting is a distant memory. I am stronger than I would ever have thought possible. The atmosphere at the gym is one of friendship and support. I see my sessions at SF Fitness as an investment in me and my future good health. If you are stuck in a rut, like I was, I highly recommend booking a complimentary session at SF Fitness. It could change your life.

    Having always felt ‘out of place’ and incompetent when it came to gyms, I am so grateful that I disvovered SF Fitness when I did! From day one, they exuded a personable, warm, ‘You CAN’ attitude … and starting as a total beginner, I was made to feel confident and able from the minute I stepped inside the door. My programme was tailored to me, and the repetition of the workouts soon gave me confidence. The 1-1 guidance and company during each session is brilliant. There is always a coach on hand to correct your movement or increase the challenge etc! There’s a lovely sense of encouragement, support (music and chat too!) as you work through your session. There are no gym - bunnies posing for selfies … just real people, all in the same boat, on a consistent fitness journey! I would highly recommend SF Fitness - they are great at what they do. Happy client here!

    I was feeling sluggish and had low energy back in July 2016, when I came across a testimonial for SF Fitness which made me want to check it out! I signed up for a 2 week trial and am delighted to say that I am still an active member of the SF family, who were particularly amazing and pro active all throughout lockdown… lending out equipment, tailoring home workouts on Zoom and following up with each one of us Individually to ensure we were managing and safe. Under the guidance of experienced and helpful Coaches, I am future proofing my mobility, dexterity and overall fitness levels and it has been one of the best decisions I made for me! I have also established new friendships and the professional and happy culture within SF really appeals to me. If, like me back in 2016, you are feeling the need to change your fitness and energy mindset, and are looking for a professional, fun & safe environment, I would encourage you to come & sign up for a trial…. You won’t regret it!

    Gym is rundown, roof leaking, toilets not serviced and cleaned, music coming from a tiny domestic stereo in one corner. Poorly lit throughout. Hands on trainers do the best they can in poor conditions. Not sure if place is appropriate for gym use at all.

    What can I say. Lovely place trainers Alan John and Karl make you feel welcome and I never thought I could do it but it’s thanks to those guys.been in my late sixties I was made to feel that it makes no difference as to ability age etc. thank you lots for giving me the confidence.

Following a hip replacement, I was left with a lot of muscle loss, a lack of balance and had lost confidence in the strength of my body. Walking and going to a gym myself only got me so far and I knew I needed more direction. John, Ruth and all the team at SF Fitness have been amazing in their encouragement and commitment to all their members. I always feel I am in safe hands and we have great fun as well. The banter is a big part of the experience and you really do feel like you are a part of a family. This was particularly true during lockdown when our training sessions went online and we could borrow equipment from the gym to keep us going. One of my main goals in going to SF Fitness is to ensure that my body is as strong as it can be as I get older. Knowing that I am expected in the gym at a specific time with a trainer waiting for me ensures that I turn up and even on my most tired days, within minutes, I know that it is totally worth it. SF Fitness has definitely worked for me and I would highly recommend trying it out.

    I joined SF Fitness 3 years ago. I used to work out at several gyms in the past but over the years I let it slip. Then as I hit my 50s I decided to get back to some sort of fitness routine. I live only a 5 minute walk from the gym. I usually go 3 to 4 times a week for weights and heart rate training. I particularly like the fact that they change the routine every few weeks which keeps up my motivation. I have lost body fat since I joined and by booking my sessions every week it gives me a focus. They adapted to Covid-19 remarkably well and I am really glad they have managed to stay open. The pricing is reasonable given the high level of personal service and attention. I like the atmosphere. People are there to get fit.

    I joined SF Fitness in Rathfarnham in August and it has been one of the best decisions I made this year! I’ve been to other Gyms but nothing compares to SF Fitness, John and his team. After each session I really feel the benefits and look forward to my next one! The team worked with me to individualise my programme to fit my needs and fitness level! They are great motivators and always encourage me to push myself and do my best! I would highly recommend SF Fitness!

    Back in 2019 I wanted to build my strength for the future and I had ostepenia - a friend who was in SF spoke very highly of the gym so I decided to give it a go! from the moment I stepped into SF I felt comfortable and supported . I love the fact that your programme is unique to you and the encouraging approach by the coaches just keeps me focused. I am so happy with how my strength has improved - the coaches are always available to help with queries and concerns SF is a gym that doesn’t feel like a gym as it is all about helping you improve as an individual in a friendly atmosphere - so glad I joined ! Schedule a complimentary session and you will understand!

    Coming from someone who has found gyms intimidating in the past, I couldn’t be more delighted to have discovered SF Fitness. From the moment I joined, I have found the trainers incredibly professional, friendly, approachable and so well informed with regard to fitness, training programs and general health both physical & mental. It has been such a refreshing change to past gym experiences & a place where I’ve meet the nicest, most genuinely friendly people! It’s a time that i look forward to, really enjoy when I’m there and feel great when I come out! It’s a win win from me!!

    When I started at SF Fitness 8 months ago I was not in great physical shape. I had persistent shoulder pain due to an operation 10 years ago. I was also nervous having not been in a gym for years. John started me on a very gentle programme and literally within 3 weeks my shoulder pain was gone and I was feeling stronger and more energetic. My programme has progressed in leaps and bounds, and this is the best thing about SF - measurable progress. Apart from the improvement in muscle tone, I have also managed to lose 8kg in weight. While this was not my main objective (which was to feel stronger and more flexible) the weight loss has been a massive boost to my confidence and has made me feel 10 years younger. Thank you so much John, Sue, Dave and Alex.
