Absolutely stunning location. One of the best beaches in the country. If the weather is good parking is seriously limited so be ready to find a random spot to park and finish your journey on foot. Worth the effort.

Perfect place for a dip, no matter the season. Stunning views, very well kept, soft sandy beach. The dunes are protected, so you can't actually walk in between the two beaches.

Gorgeous beach although it was a windy day. The sun was out so even though the water was cold when we jumped in, it was very tolerable after a while. Saw a couple of baby fishes almost transparent looking as well as the odd jellyfish. Perfect day for a beach side picnicking.

Beautiful place! Magical! Be there EARLY! Parking is very limited as you need to either come early or park further up the road. Take food and drinks with you even though there is a small cantine. Also bring some shade with you ( You will need it if you wish to stay long)

Amazing place. Love it. For sure come back on summer time. When will be warm and sunny. Carpark available. No toilets or shop's. Nice white sand. And blue lagune. Small Ireland paradise. There is signs keep a way from dunes.

Hidden gem just close to Galway and Connemara. Highly recommended. Nice place for a date, picnic, solitude. Needs one full day to get the best out of it.

Lovely quiet beach, relax at they bay or explore the rocky fields and see the waves crashing. Thereโ€™s also 2 extra beaches that seem even more quiet than the main one too. Free parking nearby.

The best beach for swimming I've been to in Ireland so far. Crystal clear water, soft white sand and plenty of space to relax and spend the day. Easy access but arrive early as parking is small and hard to find a spot after 11am on a sunny day. If you have a chance, visit the nearby beach, Gurteen Bay, which is also beautiful.

Absolutely one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, secluded, so not overcrowded, torquoise blue water, soft sandy beaches. This is definitely a place to visit when on the west coast of Ireland.

Absolutely stunning! We didn't stay long as the wind was howling but it is just beautiful. Car parking very difficult and that was a quiet day. Two portaloos available.

Beautiful beach with white sand & crystal clear water.A lovely hidden gem. The road is narrow going down to it with parking for about 20 cars 100metres from end & 5 or 6 cars at end of road. Definitely a beach I'll be back to again and again.

Amazing beach, white sand and crystal clear water. Lifeguards on the beach so you can feel safe. One disadvantage is that parking the car in nice weather is very difficult. People leave their cars on the main road and there is a problem to cross, I recommend going there very early to avoid problems with the car.

A wonderful beach. Lots of space to spare and white sandy beach with clear water. One problem - arrive early if the weather is very nice, otherwise, YOU WON'T FIND PARKING!

Dogs bay is accessible through a path from the car park, it has been fitted with benches so you can sit down and take it all in before you even get to the beach. It has brilliant views of the ocean and mountains around. Its a lovely walk to the other side of the beach when the tide is out. Gorgeous and bright on a summers day and beautiful and dramatic in the winter. Well worth the drive either way.

Great beach. Lots of clean white sand. Ideal for a stroll in your bare feet. To insure that we keep it that way! If your dog makes a deposit please don't let it sit in the account, be sure that you make a withdrawal and place it in a bin.

One of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. Clean, soft white sand, cows and sheeps all around.

Definitely a place to visit when the weather is excellent. I had a great time walking around the dog's bay last wednesday. The lady who hurt the bottom of her foot that day probably didn't think the same way. She stepped on something and was bleeding a lot. I gave her tissues and bandages, I hope she enjoyed her day in spite of her misadventure.

Beautiful place. With nice weather you can feel like you're somewhere exotic. Water is blue and clear. Only problem is with parking. There is limited amount of space.

Dogโ€™s Bay has crystal blue waters and pure white sands. Adding to its appeal, the beach is sheltered from the wind by the south-facing headland of the horse-shoe-shaped bay. Itโ€™s also sheltered from currents and is famed for its safe swimming beach. It is also a popular destination for windsurfing and kitesurfing. Dogโ€™s Bay is situated on what is called a tombolo (a spit of land which connects an island to the mainland). Also situated on the strip of land is Gurteen Bay which is another beautiful beach. Dogโ€™s Bayโ€™s white beach sand is made up of tiny fragments of seashells which gives it its bright white colour. Dogโ€™s Bay and Gurteen Bay belong to an area of international importance, famed for its archaeological, geological, and ecological importance.

An absolutely beautiful place and part of Connemara. Definitely a place in winter to dust off those cobwebs. I return every year. โค๏ธ

Nice beach and not so crowded. Had very great weather when we visited the beach. Parking is not so easy

One of the best sandy beaches i've ever seen in Ireland. White sand and beautiful clear water make the place Bahamas like on sunny day.

Amazing beach. Travelled over three hours to visit. The sand is so white and the water is the clearest I think I've ever seen. The west-facing beach is sheltered and there are no waves. Water is chilly but you get used to it. Parking is the only downside. We arrived early enough luckily, and got a parking space by the skin of our teeth. I don't know how others managed who arrived after us. The east facing beach was covered in jellyfish at water's edge but the west facing beach was clear of them.

This is the most spectacular beach I've enjoyed in Ireland, and there are many beautiful beaches. This is my favorite for ease of access, family friendliness, calm clear waters, and it's sheltered from wind.
