Such a nice spot but I really don't understand serving food in takeaway boxes even though we were eating at the restaurant. The burger was nice, the Seadood chowder was nice but it comes in a paper cup the size of cappuccino. I mean, the staff (amazing staff btw) were all dresses up and then they bring you the food in takeaway box. Too bad for a nice place like that. Love the location.

We have been here today, probably third time. I am not saying is bad, but even is not busy, you have to wait so long for service, food is nice, I would say a bit expensive, but is nice to sit there and have food and look at the sea.

We drove all he way up from city centre to get bit fresh air and fish n chips but folks what I received was not acceptable under any circumstances the piece battered fish was about 3 inches long when we cut into it just fell apart truthfully in total we received 1/4 portion of fish between two people the two dinners could went between a slice batch bread it was that small it was shocking for 35€ so my honest opinion is if your going the shoreline definitely bring packed lunch as you'll need it #nopeas😭#firstimpressinglast🍀💯👍

The staff are evasive, unhelpful and unfriendly. Today I ordered Earl Grey tea for two..recieved weak plain tea that tasted like used tea bags, dusty tea pots, no teaspoon but wooden stirrers, a filthy tray, had to ask for an empty milk jug to be filled....I am an old customer used to a higher standard...I am disappointed and disgusted...as I had already paid for the tea, my guest and I left without the pleasure of what we had paid for. The staff appear to be unmotivated and insufficiently trained...this is not acceptable at all.

Nice food. Lovely staff. Lovely view of the sea. We had a window seat. But the carpets were a bit dirty and torn so defo need attention to maintain the fresh appearance.

What a stunning setting to have a cup of coffee or a bite to eat. Went there with a pram and there was loads of space to move around and high chairs for the baby. Food was excellent, the open sandwich my wife got looked to die for and my fish and chips was absolutely fantastic. The staff was very helpful and pleasant, will definitely go back many times or include it as a stop when we go to Donabate.

Nice spot. Called in after golf for a late lunch so was about 3pm. Service was great and staff very friendly. Really let down by the food. Had fish and rustic chips. Thick greasy batter and the fish (what there was of it) was really dry and tasteless. Not sure what rustic means when referring to chips but must mean cooked in a small nuclear explosion. Just dry, overcooked and bloody awful!

Food was very fine, I can see that the cook had a lot of work to do, however, the service was very slow, we were generally ignored despite numerous staff present. Pity, because the interior is cozy and the view is staggering. Will think twice before coming back.

Son ordered the catch of the day happened to be salmon. He loved it. The salmon was cooked well. Service was a little slow. They seem short handed.

Nothing special about the food. Portion sizes were small but this seems to be the norm for hotel restaurants. Our server Mary was excellent though and looked after us well.

My girlfriend and i decided to go for a nice meal after our walk, we got steak and fish and chips, the fish had no flavour and the steak was of very poor quality and taste, the chips were okay but very startchy, the only good part were the drinks. I wont be coming back

I visited there last Saturday afternoon and although tables were largely empty we were told that its all reserved and was asked to use the outdoor area serviced by the "coffee and toasty" van. We did that and and ordrred coffee and toasty which we got after waiting in the windy shore terrace for 40 mins. The toasty was supposed to be of Sourdough but a regular white bread was served. Dissatisfied with the service.

Absolutely beautiful view. It's worth the view if nothing else. The food is better in then it used to be. I've never had any issues with the drinks. Service is pretty good. If you are in Donabate for an afternoon, it's good to combine a visit to the Shoreline bar with either a walk on the beach or the coastal walk to Portraine. iPortraine. I do hope the owners never let standards slip and waste this location.

Absolutely amazing service! We were a messy company with children and everybody looked after us with great patience, politeness, care and kindness. Food was also lovely and decently priced. On our way out my daughter spilled an entire cup of hot choc, which was immediately cleaned by a smiling waitress and before I knew a freshly brewed new (and complementary!) cup was waiting for me for the journey! Thank you ❤️

Fantastic after Donabate beach or Portrane Cliff walks to drop into. Staff and service really are excellent and well above expectations. Food is good no surprises and varied kids menu which is a major plus. Will be back.

The lunch and dinner service in this hotel has had recent upgrade in quality. Have tried both recently and i found the food and staff to be very good. I think they must have hired a new chef or something as menu has completely changed. Great for the town to have nice place to go for restaurant quality food.

Nice little spot. Coffee isnt bad, but have had better. Staff always sound out. Toastie is good quality. Pricing of toastie is at the higher end for take away, but your choice to purchase. Probably more a comment on Dublin in general, but for what its worth, the price has turned me off buying a toastie on occasion. Constitutes a luxury as opposed to lunch for me.. location cam be stunning on a nice day.

Booked restaurant for dinner . Rang on day of booking to confirm. When I went to restaurant they lost my booking and we had to stand waiting 20 minutes to be seated . Food is very overpriced ordered the steak and didn't even come with veg and the pepper sauce was like water. Waited 1hr and 20 mins for food to come . Asked for another diet coke and waiter forgot even though it wasn't busy . Only thing I liked was the view and one waitress was nice everything else was terrible very miss leading in pictures .
