Not a particularly beautiful place but, once in Howth you might as well visit. The view of the harbour is quite nice

Beautiful church and grounds, stunning views, a fantastic place to explore. It was closed on the day of my visit so I'm not sure if you can access the church on different days or if its seasonal, either way it holds so many little treasures you can't help wanting to see more. Difficult to get parking but well worth a visit, enjoy

My visit to St. Mary's Abby was a quiet, peaceful, reflective one. Only one other couple on the grounds, it was lovely to walk around the church ruins and cemetery and think about everyone whose lives would have been so intertwined with this church. The views over the water were also spectacular. If you are in Howth, it's worth the walk up the hill.
