Mark (& Missy, of course) gave us the best experience we could ask for on a day the weather was against us. He was fun, funny, knowledgeable, and very patient with the whole group. If you're interested in something not too far outside of Dublin 'city centre' that combines a little lore with a good few hours outside, this is a great option. If you're "a hiker," do know that the hike itself is about half the excursion (but the whole of it is surely worthwhile!); if you're an apprehensive not-so-much-a-hiker (as my husband was), this should be pretty manageable overall and there's really just one stretch towards the end that is a bit trying. Mark was excellent with pacing and giving everyone breaks (& laughs!) along the way. Definitely do check the weather, though -- Mark can't control it, Howth is colder than the city centre, the rain in winter months can feel brutal, and you'll want to dress appropriately. Layers and a fresh pair of socks will do you just right to enjoy a pint (or few) with him and the group at the end.

Great tour & guide even though Mother Nature tried her best to throw us off the trail! Mark was fun to venture out with - very social, knowledgeable, great storytelling … made all of us feel special. The end pint & lunch on a cold, windy day was the perfect ending capped off with a video capturing our day. Great fun & highly recommended!

A wonderful day trip out of Dublin! Mark made this day one of our favorite days in Dublin by far! This is a must! Mark and Missy led us to the most amazing views and Mark gave us a wonderful video of our experience afterwards. Mark was informative and made sure everyone was comfortable and most importantly having fun! We ended the walk with a pint and some delicious food at a local pub. Could not have asked for a better experience!

This was a fantastic tour. My step sister and I only had 12 hours to spend in Dublin and we do not regret spending a few hanging with Mark and Missy. We learned so much, got some exercise, and saw some beautiful views.

Favorite tour we’ve taken on this trip. Mark was great, very funny and knowledgeable. Chase the intern was great as well and created a small video to celebrate the experience. Missy the pup even made an appearance. A seal greeted us in the harbor and we had a great view. Go to Howth, meet some locals, and experience this hidden gem.

Mark and Missy were great company on a fabulous journey around Howth! I adored the views and truly appreciated the wonderful facts Mark shared throughout our time together. Would absolutely recommend this tour to any and all who are even slightly interested :) P.S - yes, Missy is even cuter in person

This was, by far, our favorite event on the week-long trip we've taken! It was a fantastic mix of entertainment and exploration - the scenery and the weather only added to the beauty! Mark and Missy are incredible tour guides and the Irish coast is an AMAZING host!

Mark is a fantastic storyteller and his pup Missy is so sweet. We enjoyed his history of Howth and ended the day with some music from his friend Carlos. It was a great value, unique experience and the scenery is incredibly beautiful. It’s super easy to get to Howth from Tara Station. This is 4 hours of walking so be aware of that! But it’s a fantastic exercise, not too hard as long as you’re prepared to walk for that long! The sights and history are well worth it, too!

Mark&Missy Hike&Pint was excellent all around!!! All the reviews were true. I expected awesomeness going into the experience and definitely came out of it feeling so happy and grateful! Great hike and walk, great stories and company, great ending at the pub. Thank you Mark!

Mark’s tour of Howth is absolutely wonderful - a must see to get a feel for the Irish coastline. Mark is a knowledgeable, entertaining and personable host. He’s C quick-witted and keeps us laughing, has great stories about the area, both historic, contemporary and personal, and really goes out of his way to make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable and has a special experience. His instructions for getting there from Dublin are spot on. Book this trip, you’ll be glad you did!

Mark was an excellent host! The views were amazing, the jokes were funny, and the local history was very interesting. I highly recommend this tour!

Mark's hiking tour was fantastic as are Mark and Missy. An ideal guide, Mark's enthusiasm matched that of someone's first day on the job while his knowledge and professionalism proved his years of experience. These reviews really don't do justice to just how personable and accommodating Mark is with a great sense of humor to boot. Book early in your trip to take advantage of this local's insights. The hike itself went by fast. The breaks are appropriately timed to catch your breath after any ascents and to take in the stunning views Howth provides. The storytelling and conversing make you forget it's exercise. I'm sure glad Missy could make the hike with us, and I'm looking forward to a return trip to Ireland for the seafood hidden Howth experience.

Mark is a wonderful tour guide and story teller. It was great to hear the history of Howth and visit many different sites on the way to the Cliffs of Howth. Mark was so friendly and interjected humor into his stories. And Missy is a beautiful and energetic companion. I would definitely recommend this tour to my friends!

I really REALLY recommend this tour. My boyfriend and I went on Tuesday (11/08/2022) and we enjoyed every part. Mark, the guide is a very charismatic, funny and chatting person, you won't get bored. We didn't realize we walked more than 7,5 km. The landscape was beautiful and Mark's historical knowledge and stories made it even more interesting. Missy's company was the final touch for a perfect day. At the end, we shared a delightful lunch with pints in a local pub and the chatting went on.

This tour was the highlight of our vacation. The town is beautiful. The food and craft beer were outstanding. Mark, the tour guide and Missy were fantastic hosts. Mark is a wonderful story teller and we learned so much from him. We really had a lot of fun and the other guests on our tour were amazing. Mark also has a walking tour that we will be doing on our return. Don’t miss this tour, it is fantastic. Todd, Robyn

This experience is an absolute gem, beautiful village of Howth is a perfect getaway from the city of Dublin. The whole hike is just awesome, thanks to Mark and Missy for making the hike even better. Mark is a wonderful and a jovial person and he ensures that you're having a great time throughout. Overall this experience is a must to do and is in fact a hidden gem. I absolutely recommend this experience.

This is a great tour. Mark was an awesome guide and Missy was adorable. The walk takes you around Howth and the wonderful cliffs. At the end of the walk, you get a pint and a video that Mark created for the day. Really recommend for a day trip out of Dublin.

Our group of 6 did the hike and pint experience with Mark and Missy the last week of September and it was the highlight of our trip to Europe. Mark was a fantastic guide with a wealth of knowledge. It was a great change of pace from the typical Dublin tours and was very easy to access from downtown. Highly recommend to anyone traveling to the Dublin area!

From the moment we were greeted by Mark and Missy we knew we were in for a treat. Mark is charismatic, funny and knowledgable but Missy (his dog) is the star of the show. We started by visiting with some seals in Howth harbour before being toured around the town, seeing highlights with some funny and interesting stories. We then continued onto the Howth cliff walk trail which had breath-taking views. Be warned, this is an actual hike. It's not technically difficult but it is decently long (the whole tour is roughly 7-8km). Just wear a decent pair of shoes and you'll be fine. Mark gives plenty of rest stops and a bathroom break where you can grab a snack and water if you don't pack it yourself. You then finish the tour at the Bloody Stream pub where you'll share a pint with your group included in the price. We also ordered lunch which was lovely. Mark also makes a personalized photo/video collage to commemorate your trip. All in all it was an amazing day. This truly is a hidden gem. It was not only the highlight of our stay in Howth but also the highlight of our entire Ireland trip. Book this trip, you won't regret it.

It was the highlight of our entire 2 week vacation in London & Dublin. Mark & Missy are so friendly, and Mark is very knowledgeable with a great personality! The views are something you don't want to miss!!

Mark and Missy and the tour of Howth were one of the best experiences I've had to date. My trip to Howth was during a time when no one was traveling yet Mark was willing to give me a solo tour. His knowledge and charismatic personality are very welcoming. I would recommend this experience to anyone traveling to Ireland .

We signed up for the Hidden Howth tour and couldn’t have been happier with it. The town itself is charming, but Mark and his dog, Missy, really made the day special. Mark does a great job of sharing interesting stories about the town and making the day memorable. We were lucky enough to see harbor seals and a pod of dolphins that I would have missed completely if Mark hadn’t pointed them out. Missy is very quiet and well behaved, but full of personality. She made a perfect companion. We fell in love with Howth thanks to Mark and Missy. This tour was definitely a highlight of our trip to Dublin. I would highly recommend it!

Mark is the perfect guide and we enjoyed every second of our trip. Howth is amazingly beautiful and the fantastic views were supported by Marks stories and his great Irish humor. All of this was perfectly finished with a great pint in the cozy pub. Highly recommended experience.

In short, BOOK THIS TOUR. My husband and I have done quite a few tours on our travels, and this is our favorite one! Mark is incredibly friendly, kind, and fun to be around. He told marvelous tales and kept us fully engaged throughout our afternoon together. The sights were lovely, of course, but the best part was the companionship between us, Mark, Missy, and the super-sweet family who also booked the same tour. Thank you, Mark, for the experience of a lifetime! If we are ever back in Dublin (and we hope to be!), we’ll do the tour again.

I joined the 1 hour online virtual tour with Mark. It was a really entertaining journey of quirky Irish culture, history, stories, and beauitiful Irish scenery. I thoroughly enjoyed the multiple choice quizzes along the way and interesting tidbits of unusual info! Well worth the time and money.

I brought a party of 11 to The Craft Beer & Seafood Trail on a very wet Day in August. Mark & Missy were excellent from the very start. Lovely local seafood in very fine local Hostelries washed down with lovely local Craft Beer. Mark has excellent local knowledge and has a very friendly and humerous presentation. Couldn't fault this experience for anything 10/10

This was such a great hike. Mark mapped out a great plan for my solo trip and I thoroughly enjoyed it. He is very knowledgeable of the history and times of Howth and Ireland in fact. He made sure I was walking at my pace and in the end he gave me one of the best surprises a tour guide has ever given. He made a video of our walks and stop-points as a souvenir. That has NEVER been done . Thank you Mark and Missy for accommodating me on such short notice. I will be back for sure to do the whole island
