Ciaran was our guide for a Dark Dublin Guided walking tour. Outstanding! He shared great tidbits of local lore, both of national significance and local, too. Really funny and knowledgeable guy who was entertaining throughout. He encouraged questions from the group and stayed after to answer more. I’d recommend him for any of the tours this group offers.

We did the Dark Dublin tour and it was one of the best walking tours I’ve been on anywhere. Ciaran was simultaneously hilarious and informative as to the less happy goings on in Dublin history. It was worth the ticket just to hear about the Irish Family Jewels (not a euphemism), a story we shared with anyone who would listen. Though he said his parents might not have been thrilled about him tour guiding, we’re glad he found it so that we can hear him talk about less publicized history in an entertaining way.

Incredible chance to hear about the lurid details of Dublin’s past. The tour company offers several tours but we chose the dark tour for the gruesome details of the city and it was phenomenal. Cieran, the owner and tour guide has a great love of the city and of history and this is truly the job he was born to do. He told us about darkey Kelley and that was our best night out in Dublin. Don’t hesitate to book a tour. He really brings the stories to life.

Fantastic experience with Ciaran today. Even though we landed really early this morning we were super motivated and excited to learn and follow to many great Dublin sites because he was so great! From beginning to end this walking tour with Jack Redmond was outstanding. His humor mixed with excellent history lessons was refreshing and engaging. My two teen age girls said it was the best tour they had every done - anywhere - and they were enthralled the whole time as well. We took the Dark Dublin Guided Walking Tour 11/22, 5:30 pm. Kieran was a knowledgeable, entertaining, welcoming guide. He made sure to talk to everyone on the tour-ask where they were from, any questions, give recommendations for food/entertainment/activities. We learned so much about the History of Dublin and visited some sites we would never have gone to unless on the tour. We highly recommend taking this tour. Things to know- *it is a lot of walking and there are stairs. *Take a water bottle as it is a Activity packed full 2 hours-hydrate. *Ask lots of questions-Kieran has a wide range of knowledge, not just the specifics of the tour. *pre-arrange a taxi to meet at the last spot, there is no easy place to flag down a taxi.

Ciaran was amazing. I’ve been on other walking tours in Dublin and this one was more thorough, better paced and way funnier! I’m hoping to do some of the others from this company while still in Dublin. Definitely take their tours.

This walking tour was very informative. It was nice to see a lot of popular sites while learning about them. Cieran did a great job ensuring the group stayed together and that everyone was understanding of what he was saying. He also was able to answer all questions posed well. Just dress warm when you go!

The Dark Tour is awesome!!! Ciaran was a fantastic guide who had a ton of local knowledge about little tidbits and added his own personal twist at times. A lot of unique stories that you wouldn’t normally hear on a typical tour. Ciaran also gave great recommendations as someone who was born and raised in Dublin. Must do!!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! This was our favorite part of our Dublin trip! Kieran (hope I spelled that right!) was our guide and he is one of the owners of this new excursion - he’s amazing! He is so well versed in the history of Dublin and made the whole experience really enjoyable. We wanted a not so typical tour and this one was definitely it. Murder, mystery, and cannibalism - how can you go wrong?!

This tour was an amazing way to see the city of Dublin. I have been here for a couple of months, and I had not realized how close together everything was. Steven was our tour guide, and he made everything fun and engaging the entire time. All while intertwining modern and historic facts about all the things we experienced. One thing to note: Since this is a free tour, bring cash for tip.

We did the dark Dublin walking tour and it was such a great way to see the city and learn so many facts about Dublin that not most people know. We covered a big area and our guide was really happy to answer any questions and had great recommendations for what to do whilst we were in Dublin.

Top! Our guide Kim was very authentic, lovely and knowledgeable about her hometown city Dublin! During the whole tour she explained a lot about places in a very funny, interactive, people including way. I especially liked the musician guessing in temple bar. She also gave us time to make pictures at some places. It was very interesting listen to here and as a plus she gave us heaps of tips for our Irland Roadtrip. I participated in the free working tour that starts at 2pm nearby St. Stephens park. Having taken many similar tours throughout Europe I can honestly say this one is among the best. Ciaran (Juan) is a hugely knowledgeable host who did a great job injecting humour and personality into the tour.

Fantastic 2.5 hour Tour of Dublin. Ciarán guides you through the south side of the city and provides facts about popular sights and landmarks, as well as fun stories about Irish history, culture, art and much more. Left with recommendations for authentic (& affordable!) pubs, museums and other activities. Definitely recommend this fun tour!

We enjoyed this free tour with Ciarán so much! It is very well documented and he was very passionate and enthusiastic about his city. It’s so nice to go around Dublin with a local. We highly recommend doing it when you don’t have much time to get documented yourself.

Having been to Dublin before, was looking to do a different tour of the city and was definitely not disappointed! Ciaran was a fantastic guide, told us loads of interesting facts about the city and it's (dark) history, and even stayed at the end to give everyone recommendations about where to go/eat/drink! This tour is a MUST for anyone who enjoys dark history and wants a glimpse into the origins of the city of Dublin. Ciaran was an amazing tour guide and generously tailored our tour to our specific interests. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history and politics of the city, and enthusiastically answered all of our *many* questions. If you’re looking for some kind of theatrical or kitschy ghost tour (we were not), this tour is not that (which we appreciated). Instead, what you’ll get is a truly interesting look into the gruesome side of the city’s history from a very talented historian, as well as some great recommendations for other places/things to check out during your stay. We do dark history tours every time we visit a new city, and this was definitely one of the best we’ve ever been on.

I took the dark side of Dublin walking tour on my first day in the city and cannot recommend it enough. Ciaran is an excellent guide, both knowledgeable and friendly. The tour offers the perfect combination of history and creepiness. Be sure to leave yourself some time after your tour to explore the city, because you'll get plenty of tips for things to see and do around Dublin.

Great tour. I've spent a couple of weeks in Dublin and the tour with Ciaran was definitely a highlight. He is very knowledgeable, easy going, funny and passionate about his work. Since arriving to Ireland, I had a couple of questions about the history and the Irish. Ciaran was very happy to chat about people individually in between stops, so all my nagging questions were answered during the tour :-) Totally recommend.

We had a great tour with Cairin, he gave insider tips and explained Irish history in an interesting and fun manner. He has a good volume of speech and tells the stories with enthusiasm. He is a true Irish storyteller. We would definitely recommend this tour!
