I booked an apartment and in the adviser on booking.com never said that is a student accommodation. And it is! Because if had this information I would never booked the place. We didn't have a minimum, that is toilet tissue replacement, there was only one toilet tissue in the bathroom. The duvet was without cover, the bed was horrible, springs was hunting our body and which moves that we did in bed it's make noise, we couldn't move our body without noise, very uncomfortable bed. The only good thing it was the shower and toilet. In the hallway to the lifts to go to 5th floor it was many mess the most of the time. The photos of the mess near the lifts was taken at 23:56 (at night time) Staff Ben, was helpful, when we had a problem with the key, and her was fast to get it done! Myself and my husband we did check out 25th July at 7.42 am and I placed the key in the A1 box. And sent a message to Ash, that never text back neither take the payment of our stay (€122) Tolka is the name of the building that we had our ensuite bedroom. It is in the last Luas stops, The Point. In Dublin 3. It is 43 minute walk from the city center.

Host Point Campus should be incredibly thankful for their prime location on the LUAS line, because that was about the only saving grace for this housing experience. Upon move-in, our entire suite was absolutely filthy, and had clearly not been touched since the former residents moved out. Our bedsheets were visibly dirty, the floors were covered in dirt and grime, and there was food in the fridges that had been expired for over two months. While the staff did clean this up after complaints, that's hardly a good first impression to make. And unfortunately, a clear lack of respect for their own facilites became a recurring theme for Host Point Campus. It also doesn't help that the staff themselves were almost uniformly rude and uninterested in helping with even the smallest of things. At a certain point I dreaded going to the front desk to claim my mail, because I knew I'd be greeted with a heavy eye roll and an exasperated sigh. The negligence of the staff was made even worse, however, by a blatant lack of respect for resident privacy. Host Point Campus conducts frequent room inspections, which I understand is within their rights and not at all unusual. However, on several occassions a staff member would show up to my door for an inspection after NO advance warning, which is incredibly uncomfortable. It's hard to feel at home when, three weeks into your stay, you leave your room to find a staff member patrolling the common room of your suite, and then of course being dismissive and condescending when you ask questions about why they are there with no warning. But perhaps one of the worst things about these inspections is the lofty standard that staff set for residents, when they themselves clearly don't care to clean rooms between tenants. Myslef and my suitemates were constantly reminded that so much as a stray article of clothing on the floor of your own bedroom was cause for a fine, creating an atmosphere of fear that made living at Host Point Campus more stressful than it needed to be. Most egregiously, my suite was directly threatened with a fine for using a drying rack to dry our clothes in the common space, as this was deemed an "obstruction" in a room that measured around 10 meters long and 3 meters across (picture included below to prove scale). This left myself and my friends with no other legitimate options to dry our clothes, as the dryers in the Host Point Campus laundry room do NOT work, as clothes leave the dryer as wet as when they entered. So, if the dryers do not work, and we are threatened with fines for air drying our clothes, there is no legitimate way to dry clothes at Host Point Campus. To me, that makes this space unlivable and warrants a one star review. That these staff have the audacity to constantly hold a threat of fines over residents' heads, while they themselves obviously don't care to even sweep the floors of rooms in turnover, reflect the terrible quality of service at Host Point Campus that I would encourage every resident to be aware of before signing on to live here.

The administration is very bad. For example they leave lights on at night in vacated rooms. I'm not sure why they waste energy. Perhaps to make it look like their campus is full. As a matter of fact they have very few students in all year round, and their rooms are very pricy. You can get a rent in a better place as a student for much cheaper prices. Later edit: I'm a neighbour of this place for at least 1 year and my windows are overlooking it. I know it better than most. They're awful just look at their reply to my review. I don't need to be a tenant in order to point out facts.

    1. Fridge doesn’t work. 2. Door lock doesn’t work. 3. Ventilation in the toilet is extremely loud. I feel myself like in a plane when I am in the bathroom. 4. It’s impossible to resolve all these problems through reception. I need to do a quest on their website to send a message to maintenance.

I stayed at Host Point Campus in May-June 2022 while completing an international internship in Dublin. My accommodation here was probably the only negative part of my time in Ireland. First, when I checked in to my room, it was not thoroughly cleaned. There was green dye splattered all over the bathroom sink The floor was dirty. I had to clean up my room when I arrived at my room at 6 AM (before the front office was even open) after traveling for over eight hours. There was a man who came the next day supposedly to clean my room, but when he saw that I was in the room already he just left. Second, maintenance request were rarely fulfilled. I had several friends living in this accommodations and some of them did not have their maintenance request fulfilled the entire six weeks that they were staying. My shower was clogged and it was not resolved for the last week and a half that I was staying. I understand that they may be short staffed but that was unacceptable to me. Third, about one week before I was going to check out, ‘cleaners’ came onto my flat and threw away literally everything in our common space (kitchen, dining, an living area). All of our food (in the fridge and cupboards), decorations, utensil, and other goods were thrown away. Not only did they throw away all of our stuff, they left the common space a mess, with food particles scattered on our countertops, stove, and sink. From Host Point Campus, we only received a half-hearted apology email and were given a 50-euro Tesco voucher which did not cover nearly as much stuff as they threw away. To make matters worse, I couldn’t even use it because I could not access the voucher until the following Thursday (so I had to purchase groceries before then) and I was flying out two days later. Some of my flat mates met with Camila, a manager of the accommodations, and were treated horribly and without respect. I did not have high expectations for this accommodation because I knew it targets students, but I believe that there should be a higher standards of cleanliness and respect for property, which is why I’m giving this accommodations one-star. Edit: In response to Host’s reply, I have already emailed to discuss this matter on June 10-16, 2022. The email exchange between Host and I was previously mentioned in my original review. I do not think there is anything left for me to email Host about regarding my stay, as I have already provided the relevant information almost four months ago.

Extremely disappointing and unsettling treatment towards their guests. I am a current resident and have been without running hot water for over a month. Numerous complaints lead to nothing more than an inspection and still no action has been taken to amend the issue. What’s even more shocking is their refusal to offer me and my roommates access to alternative sources of hot water as we wait for the repairs to be carried out. They have stopped replying to any emails even after threats of involving the tenancy board. Very poor service, would not recommend especially for international students who have limited resources and life lines in such situations.

After two years of living here there is no positive other than the location. These people messed around with my booking for third year and I've wound up homeless. Staff other than maintenance and security are wildly unprofessional. Manager believes she's above everyone and mistreats staff. I would avoid unless your situation is as desperate as they made mine.

From a past resident that live in this joke of Accomodation first of all 1. Staff and management is rude loves to give dirty looks and sighs especially they know you have a disability. The lack of care and respect to residents that is currently or previously lived here is horrible and ruining their company and reputation. Host is so lucky they have the luas line and 3 arena right outside and we are in a housing crisis because I guarantee the reason most residents stay here because there are no more options in Dublin City. 2. The cleanness of the common area is unhygienic and haven’t been cleaned since the old times. Host loves to blame residents for their mistakes and actions. 3. This accommodations likes to treat residents like children’s. Some rules and regulations that do not make sense for etc. music in our own PRIVATE rooms is allowed under our contract but soon as there is a noise complaint within the hours that your allowed to play there becomes a problem and you will get a warning immediately. 4. To book cinema it is complicated because it is always full of other residents during the week and especially weekends. 5. During our stay we experienced fake invoices and fake Maintenance issues that in the kitchen to generate more profit for the campus. 6. Staff and management is uncapible of handling situations in our flats for etc complaints they look it as the person who’s staying longer will always WIN! 7. Best for last!! Is host loves to give unssesrary warnings to residents just to clear out the campus for new people that would pay a fourtune just for a roof under their heads. DO NOT STAY HERE EVEN IF ITS YOUR LAST OPTION FOR LONG TERM ACCOMODATION I HIGHLY NOT RECCOMEND!!!!! . Look at alternative accommodations across the city.

People are going to book this place anyway due to the crazy rental market in Dublin, but I feel obliged to leave this review as some of the management staff are the rudest I’ve ever seen. Irish built a good reputation for being friendly over years, so please don’t ruin it easily.

If you are racist, love being loud 7/24, leaving kitchen dirty, using other people's kitchen equipment and food, this is the place for you! Housing rules will support you. Management staff is nice people, but they appear incapable of taking any action.

My daughter has been staying here and can't sleep because her room is next to a loud slamming door which people can use all night. Management has been no help. I've sent them a doctors note for her insomnia but they refuse to help. They're constantly sending us offers for new rooms but then say the rooms aren't available. The room is unliveable and we've had no help for the past few months. Do not stay here.

I’ve stayed here for one year and it’s the best student accommodation. It’s spacious, the staff is so kind and they’re responsive to problems of the students. The gym, cinema room, the common area, games room and the terrace are all bonuses you have. The view from the terrace and the location makes it worthwhile :)

The location is great and the ensuites are comfortable, but the staff in reception is rude and unpleasant. All the interactions with the reception were disagreeable and they seem to do everything to make the clients uncomfortable. The management of gargabe is horrible and the laundry is a mess. We don't have any support during stay, but rules and threats are always available.

I am a student who was living in Point Campus. When I arrived, the kitchen was very dirty. They did not even clean the fridge which was disgusting. The ventilation stopped working after three months in the kitchen so we were not able to cook as the smell was horrible. When we told them about the problem, they just told us that the ventilation was working which was a lie. And of course, they do not even pay you back the deposit (pretending that the fridge was not working anymore once you left which is again a lie). In general, for any problem we encountered there, we needed to tell them 3 times or more so they decide to do something. I do not recommend at all.

I stayed in Point Campus for 5 months in 2020 when Pandemic started. I cannot forget on all that great memories with my flatmates and people in the building! I loved to hang out in study room and I loved my room! The price is absolutely crazy ridiculous to pay and especially for students that is why I marked 4 stars! But otherwise, go for it.

If you're booking a spot here, and paying good money for it, be aware that C block has room's facing into the courtyard on one side of the corridor, and the Iarnrod Eireann freight depot on the other. The bleep-bleep-bleep of reversing trucks and the clatter of aggregate into metal containers doesn't lend itself to a good night's rest or to focused study. Nor do the kitchen windows open on this side, making for a room too hot to endure for long. There is also a problem with the calibration of the motion sensor lights: you'll be plunged into windowless, pitch darkess mid-shower if you don't leave the door open (which will likely cause damp problems in the long run) or if you stand still for too long waiting for a lift on the equally windowless landings. That said, it's clean, well equipped, and the layout and decor in the communal areas is very funky.

One of the best student accommodation in Dublin. It was one of the best decision to choose Point Campus over any other student accommodation out there in Dublin. Even though it was far from my college, but for the facilities, vibe and lively life there, it's worth investing stress-free. Staff is supportive, friendly and helpful. I'd recommend this place to anyone who's new to Dublin, just go for it without any second thoughts. P.S: It's at the right location with a 15 mins walk from the City Centre, but my college was far :p
