Four stars for the location; the Pillar is situated in Dublin city center. All sights are within a walking distance. However, the hotel is just a place to sleep; our room was equipped with a bed and a small table. Bathrooms and toilets are shared, but these are really clean.

This is just an hostel. Don't have breakfast. Room is not provided with anything except street noise. I cannot even tell who the staff is in this place! Cannot recommend if you have luggages, as there is no lift. 75€ per night is a total rip off. Shared toilet? Shower on another floor? People sleeping in the reception room??? Is it illegal immigrant hideout??

Very dodgy and dirty but quite central - wouldn't recommend unless you plan to spend all your time outside. Every other hostel is much cleaner and nicer, more value for your money. Worst shower of my life. Pictures online do not represent reality.

What a dreadful place. Should be described as a hostel.they did not know we were booked in.and no breakfast was provided. Find somewhere else.

No toilet in room, shower on seperate floor. No towel / soap provided. Staff not very professional. Draft in room. Can hear street noises clearly and noises from adjacent room. Should be classes as hostel but without the nice atmosphere. But generally very clean and in the city center.

In a great Location, but wasn’t worth what we paid for. We paid about 115€ per night for a tiny room with a double bed, tv and sink. The shared bathrooms were very clean, but there are only two showers for the entire hotel. This definitely is more of a hostel than a b&b. There is a shared kitchen that was available but only coffee and tea were offered. Noise wasn’t much of an issue, but there were no rooms boarding ours besides a bathroom. We kept our window open all night long and did not have an issue with noise from the street, even on the weekend. It did feel secure with our room being locked and the front door being locked at all times, but the fire escape door was open pretty much all day and closed at night.

Television didn't work at all, wasn't even set up to receive a signal, the bottle of water in the room was noticeably old, showers were decent

The place has a nice location, but the rooms are too small and the bathrooms are shared. You could clearly hear the noise from outside. The host was very friendly.

Location is superb. Besides that its basically a hostel. Paid a hefty fee to spend the night here and I had to shower/go to the toilet outside of my own room. Would've been fine if it wasn't so expensive.
