This is a very interesting place. The Freemasons used to be socially and economically significant in the British Isles. This Lodge is iconic, with an Egyptian room. There is also a chapel - of sorts. There are skulls everywhere which is quite odd. On Culture Night 2016, the guide gave us quite an unsatisfactory answer as to why there were so many skulls.

Interesting. Torah and Bible in the Egyptian room where they do the ceremony where they threaten each other with swords to keep their secrets. The receptionist said to my group "the sphyinx are holiday souvenirs"(!!!) but on a youtube video he said that the designer got carried away. What is he trying to hide? I wonder what other ceremonies they do here? Apparently the building has an underground tunnel to the Dail/Leinster House as Lord Leinster was a freemason.

Tremendous! The lodge only opens one day a year for tours and I was lucky to be there. Really beautiful, a lot of classic Egyptian icons flags, paraphernalia, et cetera. A must see if you happen to be there at the right time

The values of tolerance, humanity and brotherhood are unfortunately only accessible to the average consumer on weekdays. If you want to know more about the members and the history of the Masonic lodge in Dublin, you should not visit this building at the weekend. asking and begging at the porter at the door won't help either. Because he would have been able to open the doors briefly, at least for guests from abroad.

Went on the guided tour for €5.00, which went for close to an hour. I’m very happy to share that it was one of the most informative and reasonably priced tours I’ve ever been on. It was a privilege to be shown 3 of Grand Lodge’s Masonic rooms, as well as the Masonic museum (which you can actually enter free of charge without the guided tour), with ample opportunity to take photos and ask questions. An absolute must do for anyone interested in Freemasonary.

Stunning building to visit, across the road from Buswells Hotel on Molesworth Street. Check with the porter for visiting times for the public tours. Well worth the visit and an interesting way to learn about The Freemasons and their history and charitable works in Ireland.

The 'contact' link is poor.. Tried umpteen times to make an enquiry if a midlands lodge (Birr) is still active only to be met with a map of Dublin.. Vast improvement required brethren. UK SW. 3189

For just 5 euros you can enter and see the masonic rooms which are very beautiful. It was a cool experience all in all since I do not know almost anything about freemasons.
