Absolutely amazing shop! Small and cozy, but a fantastic curated selection of yarn. It was hard not to buy the whole shop.

I have just recently started Crocheting and I discovered this very unique shop and I love it! The range of wool is different and comes in every colour imaginable! I have already sent my husband in to pick me up some new wool as I have learned to crochet very fast now! Thank you so much for your wonderful shop to cheer people up in the winter !

First of all I received a lovely welcome email, such a nice touch and genuinely written, it was really nice and shows an appreciation for customers. I received my order very quickly, beautiful wrapped and a hand written thank you card with it…especially appreciated considering I only made a small order. This item itself is perfect and with the customer service provided I will not be shopping anywhere else for my knitting needs!

I'm only new to knitting and the ladies in this shop we're absolutely wonderful, and super accommodating; especially Joy who helped get me sorted with needles, yarn, patterns, and websites to help me learn! Highly recommend to any beginners who don't know where to start!

Great shop in Dublin! I was able to visit on a Yarn Lovers tour of Ireland and the selection of Yarns and rhe friendly staff was worth the visit! Townhouse Yarns is their in house dyer and brought back many skeins to give to my friends! Beautiful yarn available in many bases! Friendly staff with great customer service!

This knitting store is absolutely fantastic. The service was absolutely top notch. Their staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about every product in their store, on top of having a plethora of anecdotes about the origin of the yarn or where it was made. They were able to help us find what we were looking for and made the entire experience a very lovely one.

My husband found this yarn shop while we were visiting on our first trip to Dublin. I purchased the skeins Fade St. 4ply in the beautiful Jacqui colour. Oh so soft, gorgeous, and perfectly dyed in beautiful tones that remind me of blankets from my childhood in the 70s! I started making strips for a blanket, then had to order more in solid tones to work together. They arrived today (1 1/2 week shipping time to west coast US) and now I can't wait to get working! Definitely a yarn, and shop, that will be on my radar for future purchases!

Want something with a nice drape for a shawl? Need something harder wearing for socks? They can help. If you need beautiful yarn in exciting colourways, look no further. I've only ever used their online portal and spoken with them by phone but I've no hesitation in recommending them. And would love a nosey round their irl shop. I've just bought 4 skeins of townhouse dk from them and am excited to start my next gorgeous project. You should see the colours. This shop is wonderful! I was visiting from America and my sister’s requested souvenir was yarn from Ireland. She had very specific yarn in mind and I am completely oblivious to anything involving crocheting and knitting. One of the woman there was so helpful and let me stand for almost an hour and a half while I sent my sister numerous pictures and waited for her to decide. Highly recommend!

I was fortunate to go on a Knitting trip from the US to Ireland and one of our stops toward the end of the trip was This Is Knit. What a lovely shop with great selection, lots of assistance and beautiful fibers! It was hard to choose what to purchase, but I came away with treasures to add to my stash. We also had a class from two lovely ladies from the This Is Knit family. They were so much fun and patient with all of us, since our skill levels varied. I have recently purchased more treasures to be shipped to me and they have been shipped already! If you live in Ireland, you are fortunate to have such a wonderful shop and friendly people!

The customer service was excellent, the yarns are nice and the pattern was one I wanted to try for awhile. I am making the yoke of Inga's jacket and love the yarn, easy to work with and soft! If you are looking for yarn, this is a good place to shop! Highly recommend them, customer service was good and I loved the yarn so not sure how returns are but everything else is very good.

Fantastic shop. The selection of yarn is amazing but the best thing about the shop is the staff. I went in on a very busy Saturday afternoon and they still took the time to wind two skeins of wool into balls for me. Thank you!

Such a lovely experience from start to finish. I stumbled upon this site on an idle search for tweed yarn (I'm a little obsessed with tweed... ok, A LOT obsessed). The site itself is very user friendly, has lovely kit options, and offers gorgeous local (to them) yarn. I purchased the weekender sweater kit. It arrived today, less than a week after I ordered (I'm in the US, I can't get something faster on the same continent). The packaging was sturdy on the outside, and lovely on the inside. Along with a This Is Knit tote, I received my gorgeous yarn and a hand written note, which is such a nice personal touch. The yarn, by Donegal Wool Spinning Co., is even more stunning in person. I highly recommend This Is Knit and will be using them frequently for my future projects.

Lovely shop! Google maps had me turn into a building right before where this is located, but the people there knew and helpfully directed me. The staff in the shop were friendly, helpful, and just nice to work through what I needed for a project. Many lovely wools and yarns available in the space!

Just went here today, the shop is located in a very lovely shopping area. The owner was very patient and helpful, she managed to help me find the wool I was exactly looking for. They have a very wide collection of yarns, including local wool. Highly recommend it!

This is Knit is a wonderful store to find all types of yarn, including Irish hand died yarn, in the heart of Dublin. I love the unique finds and colour combinations that they carry. Also, there is often hand made projects on display which provide useful inspiration for future projects - I have definitely looked up patterns that have correlated to knits on display in this store. The staff are lovely and are always helpful with their suggestions. I also appreciate their COVID restrictions to help keep their staff and the community safe.

Amazing shop, you can find all sort of wool, from merino to alpaca and much much more. Also a huge choice of knit/crochet tools and books. And the girls are so helpful and nice!

I had a browse around the shop on Saturday and asked for help to find the yarn for the love note sweater, I am sorry I didn’t get the ladies name, she was very helpful and pleasant, she got the iPad to show me all the suggestions for mixing yarns when knitting the sweater. I have shopped here before and thought I was signed up for the token system, I hadn’t been only for the emails, this was my mistake which was quickly sorted for me and my receipt was emailed to me. It’s a great shop and my first stop when I am in Dublin , my only problem is that I don’t live closer. Looking forward to my next visit

I can't recommend This is Knit enough. They are the only place I go to get what I need for knitting. I am a beginner and with their help and advice I got everything I needed from start to finish to knit my first jumper (which I just completed!). Everyone there is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, and they have everything you could need. I tend to order items to my house and delivery has always been so fast with no problems. I ordered wool on the 23rd December expecting it in the New Year and it arrived on Christmas Eve, which is just incredible, I think. I won't shop anywhere else!
