This memorial stands in tribute to the victims of the great famine. Sadly, the sculpture is so abstract in it's representation that in my personal opinion it fails to capture the great tragedy and suffering. If the great famine wasn't such a well known part of history in UK, I'd probably have just missed this sculpture.

Impressive memorial, which consist in a group of statues on both sides of a wall that masks the entrance to St. Stephen Green park of Dublin.

Impressive Monument of a very sad period.

Honestly not the best statue - very abstract but the history it represents is the important part.
