Great trail, very close to and easily accessible from Podstrana and Split. The trail is marked very well, it features many different stages, each with special charm of it's own. Some beginners might find it a bit hard, but for anyone experienced it will not be a challenge. It's not very long, and you can carry on towards east if you want a longer hike as other routes are connected to it. The views are amazing, I highly recommend starting it 30-20 mins before golden hour; this way you will have even more amazing views and if you take a break at the top maybe you'll even get to see city lights during blue hour as you make it down. Overall very recommended, don't skip it.

The ferrata itself is not difficult. I would say it is suitable for children, but the route to the via ferrata is demanding. I recommend taking a lot of water. The trail starts from Starog Sela Street. Access streets are very steep and narrow for 1 car. You have to pull over on the side of the construction site because there is no parking. The trail starts on a very steep concrete path from a white modern house and leads among olive trees. It is also worth wearing long trousers because the trail is not very frequented and is slowly becoming overgrown with vegetation. The return route is not so obvious but relatively marked. When you get to a nice gravel road, look for a narrow cross-country trail straight ahead. Ultimately, you will follow the paths indicated by google maps. Generally, go left towards the church of St. visible on the hill. George's. From there there is a descent to the beginning of the via ferrata.

Excellently planned, executed and equipped via ferrata with beautiful views towards Podstrana and the city of Split. Placed on the Perun hill above the settlement of Strožanac, it consists of 3 cables of 100m each, and it overcomes 140 meters of vertical through a limestone ridge that is rich in local plant species. Via ferrata Perunika is rated as medium-demanding and is accessible to users without previous experience with appropriate protective equipment (minimum protective helmet, mountaineering harness with Y-kit and gloves) and, if possible, with professional guidance.

Nice route. Not very long or difficult, but it can be made more fun by, for example, not touching the cable and taking a heavier backpack with you. A few vertical pieces with staples but the rest is at an angle. Nice view. The road to the start of the route (to the parking lot) is steep, from there a clear path to the ferrata.

It was my first via ferata and it was great. Its not hard and its very safe. You need about 45-60min to finish it. If you are really short, it may be a bit harder for you 😂 You can get to the start by car, but the road is not great, so its better to hike from podstrana. It takes about 45min of hiking.

Really great via ferrata, super insured. Great views, early in the morning in the shade, very pleasant even in midsummer. To our surprise, an emaciated goat greeted us in the middle of the path. Gave her water.

You can park directly under the entrance. Don't be put off by the narrow dirt road. To board, look carefully for signs and a nice path. A very nicely done via ferrata. Beautiful views. Easy descent.
