Visited The Chindit for the second time in ten years on Thursday 21 February 2019. The place has four real ales on all lighter coloured and I tried a half of guest beer , Osset Blonde (Β£1.65 for a half pint) which was of reasonable quality. The place is still very basic in decor , having two rooms and a rear yard with tables. The barman was friendly and helpful , trying to help me sort out the WiFi link. Luckily another friendly customer was able to help me look up an opening time for a nearby food outlet. The toilets are in a corridor at the rear . Again like the rest of the Chindit they were basic but ok. The place might be different later at night but it feels friendly but tired, however if updated it easily become 'overdone' .

This nice little pub, the only one in the UK to bear this name, takes its name from the Chindit Regiment, with whom the first landlord served. It has a changing range of real ales, and is the only pub in Wolverhampton to have been awarded the cask marque consecutively for over 20 years. Very popular on match days when Wolves are playing at home.

The beer was excellent, as usual but the music was not up to par. The group were good musicians but they made everything sound the same, the guitarists Γ nd drummer drowned out the saxophonist and the whole effect was so loud my ears actually hurt. They would have been so much better if they had done an acoustic set.

Popped in by chance last night with four friends & was amazed at the great atmosphere inside. Don't be put off by the outer looks. Everyone very friendly, good beers, cosy feeling. Live group on that were terrific (Sun Honey); so good we stayed until closing. Will certainly be visiting there again.

No food. Just bar snacks. Step back in time to how bars used to be. Beer and ale on tap.

This two roomed corner pub is very popular with the local community and it's not hard to see why. Good beer (five cask ales), wines and spirits, live music and a friendly atmosphere welcome the visitor. Can be quiet in the week, but very busy of a weekend and when there's a band playing.

Congratulations to John and Marie on 25 years hard work in keeping their pub immaculate and the gem it is, serving a good selection of real ales with a friendly atmosphere and live music. Here's to lockdown being a distant memory.

Great local boozer, untouched by pretensions, just a good pub with some good ales.

Despite the extremely difficult times in which we now live the wonderful Chindit still offers good service and a pretty good selection of fine ales. I am sure that this venue which is the ONLY one in the country to bear its name willl continue to be successful well into the future. Please use it or you will lose it.
