Gigantic structure in the middle of the park. You can move around freely here and climb the building. From the top you have a great view over the Ruhr area.

The view over the city and the landscape park is phenomenal. Free entry.

Well, if you grew up in the pot, you love places like this. Admission is free, parking is sometimes a problem, especially when there are events. There is a lot to see and you can also visit the blast furnace.

Absolutely worth it. Climb the steps and look at the blast furnace, the pig iron works and Duisburg from above. It's best to book a public tour at the visitor center * (€12 per person for 1.5 hours). Here you will learn a lot of interesting things about the pig iron factory in an entertaining and easy-to-remember form. It's definitely worth it. It can be very windy at the top. But the steps are very easy to walk on.

Truly impressive industrial history to experience. You can climb the 70m high blast furnace 5 with absolutely no entry fees or parking fees, provided you have a head for heights. From above you have an overwhelming view of the entire complex, which is being reclaimed by nature. Climbing facilities for experienced climbers and smaller play options, such as a slide, round off the excursion. There is also a place to stop for refreshments and the area also contains the largest indoor diving pool in Europe. Absolute recommendation for anyone who is in the area.

You shouldn't be afraid of heights if you want to climb the 70 meter high blast furnace, but once you're up there, the view over the Ruhr area is stunning! Climbing the blast furnace and using the telescope on the viewing platform are completely free!

You shouldn't be afraid of heights, but it's worth it. Especially in the evening at dusk or with the lighting.

We thought it was great. You can really look at a lot and wander around. Our dog liked it too. At the front of the entrance there is a great snack bar (open air) with a large selection and a small restaurant. There are also toilets there.

What an amazing place. We explored every corner the place had to offer and we were rewarded by the wow-effect in many of them.

This is a great spot to get a unique view into the past. If you can deal with heights the top of the blast furnace offers a great view of the city.

I loved it! We visited it in the dark and it was an exciting experience - climbing up the stairs, finding the way up. On some parts, we needed the flashlight. It wasn’t that lighted up as in some photos I’ve seen, but I enjoyed the colors anyway.
