Had the Northcoaster burger and it was good but the fries came out cold 😓 Bloody Mary mix is good. Service and atmosphere was fast and great even though it was quite busy.

Canal Park Brewing is a cool brewery in in the canal Park area of Duluth. They have a high ceiling somewhat industrial style. Their is a decent sized bar and also room for diners to eat. When the weather suits their is some outdoor seating outside looking at Lake Superior. Food is usually pretty good here. For beer on my last stop they had a light lager, cherry blonde, Nut Brown, New England IPA, West Coast IPA, IPA, Oktoberfest, Porter, and a seltzer. All the beers I tried were pretty good and I always like a nut brown but think their Oktoberfest was my favorite. It is definitely worth a stop on your next visit but know they keep something closer to restaurant hours more than bar hours.

Great Beers brewed via solar power which is pretty cool. 4 beer flight options and like 8 total beers to chose from! Overall solid beer, none of the flavors were super bold, but more so light and crisp. Great curds and the sweet and spicy chicken wrap is pretty good! Cool part of Duluth, lots of other things to check out in the are!

Awesome location right on the water. It was really nice to sit outside and enjoy a few brews. The beers were decent, I’d say above average for a microbrew. The food was pretty good as well. I thought the price to quality/quantity was a good value. I’ll definitely return next time I’m in the area.

Prices are high here and the beer is mediocre. I did not like that the establishment charges 20% gratuity for large parties (even though we had two separate tables and the service was not great). Beer selection is somewhat limited. The scotch Ale is good. Other beers are average to below average. Food is good, albeit expensive.

We went here because it was on our Sidewalk Dog beer pass and we’re so glad we did! Both of the beers we had were great. See below for descriptions. The decor is more complex than most brew pubs/gastro pubs and they have cute merch. The waitress we had was friendly, accurate, funny and efficient. The chicken tenders with chipotle crema were so good- light, crispy and the dip was absolute perfection. The Canal park nachos with roasted pork, corn, black beans, and queso were great, and became 5 star when I ordered a side of the chipotle crema to drizzle on with the house made salsa verde. I suggested to our server they start serving it that way- it was truly exceptional. Check it out and get the chipotle crema sauce on EVERYTHING. Beers: He had a Stoned Surf IPA- (website description: WITH A BIG GRAPEFRUIT BOUQUET AS INTENSE BUT NOT QUITE AS FICKLE AS LAKE SUPERIOR HERSELF, THIS SMOOTH AND SPICY BREW WILL TAKE YOU ON A RIDE. STONED SURF IS A MEDIUM-BODIED IPA WITH A FRISKY HOP AROMA TO BALANCE ITS COMPLEX MALT BACKBONE. SPEAKING OF BACKBONE, THIS ‘MERICAN PALE ALE IS INTENDED FOR THOSE WITH JUST THAT. THINK BIG, THINK BOLD, THINK ABOUT HOPPING IN THE LAKE AND TAMING A FRESH WATER WAVE, MY FRIEND.) I had a Baltic Porter that was caramelly & roasty. (brewers note: RICHLY MALTY SWEETNESS WITH A COMPLEX BLEND OF DEEP MALT, DRIED FRUIT ESTERS, AND ALCOHOL. SMOOTH DRINKABILITY, STARTS OFF SWEET THEN DOMINATED BY BIG HINTS OF ROASTED COFFEE FOLLOWED BY NOTES OF TOFFEE, NUTTY AND MOLASSES COMPLEXITY WHICH STOPS SHORT OF BURNT.)

I recently stopped here for lunch and a brew with my wife and another family member. It was busy but we were able to get a table within a few minutes. The service was great and the food was very good and well worth the cost. I tried one of their craft beers and it was outstanding. We plan to return during warmer weather and enjoy the outdoors patio that has a real good view of Lake Superior. The location is great because it is in Duluth's Canal Park district which is full of shops, eateries, etc. I highly recommend this business.

Very busy place! They don’t accept reservations, so you’ll just have to wait to be seated. They told us a 25min wait, but we were seated within 5 min. Burgers were amazing! And so we’re drinks, loved all the beer options they had! Waitress was very friendly!

This place was a very relaxing experience. Great sandwich and atmosphere made our visit fantastic. Friendly and warm staff, along with the fast accurate service made it perfect. Great place for all ages. Even though it was very busy and fast paced, it was very cozy and still had relaxing conversations at our table. If you're a craft beer lover, and even if you're not one like me, you'll still feel right at home. I didn't count how many crafts they had, but they a lot lol them. We will definitely be making our way back to Duluth for many years to come because of this place and the whole area of canal park itself.

Great place to grab a craft beer! The food was delicious. We waited quite a while before our server even noticed us. But the beer was great! I had cheese curds and sooooo good!!!

Popped in for a quick lunch on Fourth of July and had a great experience. Our awesome server Mady was friendly and attentive. We ordered the Whitefish BLT which came with North Coaster Fries. My new favorite fry! And a side of brussel sprouts. Very tasty! I highly recommend while in Duluth or passing through.

The food is always so good. I started off with only doing takeout because of covid. But I recently was able to actually dine inside. The service was very friendly, attentive, fast, and knowledgeable. The food I already knew was top-notch. The location was amazing. it's right by Lake Superior, and we got to sit in front of a huge window with a Lakeview. They have outdoor seating, which is dog friendly and enjoy a drink and great food.

Awesome place with great service. I tried the old fashioned that Race prepared for me and it was 10/10. Highly recommend, cheers!

We ventured in here in the hopes of finding some beers and food. The restaurant was moderately busy during our Friday night visit, but the service was fast. We were also able to pay via the QR code which was great! The brewery does have a decent amount of beers, which is where it shines. The food was decent, but returning here again would be for the views and beer.

Excellent spot but I have a suggestion :) We got the mac and cheese, beer cheese soup, fig/bacon burger and the cheese curds which all had such complex flavours with homemade sauces. You could taste that the burgers were fresh and not frozen patties! Servers and kitchen staff are very well managed or just work really well as a team- quick and efficient service. This restaurant is located on the waterfront, which if you’ve walked the waterfront you’ve heard or seen many songbirds and shorebirds. However, while we were eating dinner, a bird flew right into the large windows of the restaurant that face the bay. This is extremely concerning for this towns bird community and biodiversity. I wonder if the owner may look into getting anti collision bird decals for the outside of the window to deter birds. Seeing as one of your beers is named after cute little nuthatches (nut hatchet brown), I hope you have an appreciation of birds as I do and may take my suggestion to heart.

Overall we had a great experience. However due to no one’s fault, the co2 tanks were down. We couldn’t order ANY BEER. I was slightly heart broken but can’t hold that against them. The food was pretty good. The Brussel sprouts and fried cheese curds were AMAZING. The Birria tacos were good but nothing great. They lacked cheese and the traditional Birria flavor. The portion was also small considering the cost. Aside from that there was plenty to choose from and everyone seemed to join their food. (Almost forgot to mention how awesome the fries were!) The atmosphere was also great! I would definitely return…because the beer needs to be tasted!!!

Server Ash was excellent. Burger was well undercooked, pink with blood, but I ate it. Wife's chicken wings were so rubbery that we had to refund and order a sandwich. Beer was quite good.

Stopped in for a quick meal with my family. The service and atmosphere were great. My kids both enjoyed their burgers and fries; my wife had the wild rice bowl and she loved it; my sweet and spicy chicken wrap was super tasty. Beer was top notch too, I especially liked the porter.

Definitively Minnesotan brewery with a fresh menu and varied well-presented tap list. Their definition of “medium” is closer to well done. Fish based and beer based items knocked it out of the park, as did the beet salad. Service was relatively quick, although some items did come out cold.

First time back since before pandemic. The beer is excellent (highly recommended the Dawn Treader Trippel), the food was delicious (the Swedish Cream with lingonberry jam and seasonal fruit ended the meal perfectly), and the staff were very friendly and attentive!

Whenever we dine here, it’s give me tremendous happiness. Just one word for the staff, food, ambience, drinks.. EPIC!!! 3rd visit to Duluth from Twin cities and 3rd visit to this amazing family, friends, youth friendly place. Servers are amazing and too good. Food is delicious!! whatever you order. Drinks.. fantastic and worth for your bucks.

I've been here before but never bothered to review but this time was something different. We were instantly seated, offered water, and had our food in no time. The fries were the best part along with the burger melting in your mouth. Really recommend going here at least once on your trip.

Great selection of brews and food! Patios are a plus. Dog friendly for all! Loved my first experience. Food came out super quick. Smoked salmon BLT was awesome!

A nice looking Brewery with tasty beers averaging about 3.6 / 5 . I tried the Seasonal Fish Tacos (3), the fish was nicely done but the slaw killed the flavor for my taste. The beer cheese was very good ( 5 ) I especially liked the bacon seasoning added to it. I'll be back to try other choices. Friendly staff, street parking is spotty because of the popularity of this area. We waited about 40 min to be seated on peak time.

We loved everything about Canal Park Brewing Company. They have great beer and mixed drinks as well as wonderful appetizers. The food looked very good as it went by us on the way to the other people’s tables. We had appetizers that were out of this world. For a time we sat around the fire pit outside, drinking beer waiting for our table. Great atmosphere all around. We liked it so much that we came back the next night.

Met a colleague here for dinner. Great service. Clean and good atmosphere. Smoke salmon BLT is bomb. The rueben is okay. The Stone Surf IPA, the only IPA, had a flat flavor profile, almost on the funk side. Website said they have a hazy but they must have been out. In a city of craft breweries, you gotta' step up your game here. Paying for parking with yet another app--just pick one Duluth. Drives me nuts.

Our experience was great! Service was prompt and our server was helpful with the beer selection recommendations. Beer and food were delicious ! I built my own burger with house-made sauces on the side (highly recommend the cilantro lime sauce).
