👍👍 The Thai food here is very good. Quality ingredients, well made and nice heat. The Penang Curry was amazing and the Pad Thai was just out of this world. The spring rolls were ok, but the sauce is sweet. The service is fast and polite. Prices are just right for this quality food and service. We will... This is my favorite spot in New Castle County. This place is a hidden gem in a small shopping center. It looks humble, but the food is far from it. I have frequented this spot week, after week, after week. I have had noodles, rice, chicken, curry and a few things in between. My favorite is the pineapple rice with fried rice and chicken. I love the crispy egg rolls, and the Mango chicken stir fry is incredible (see pictures). I tried eating this dish Thursday, I wasn't;t even hungry but nothing was left when I finished. OK, so I mentioned the food, what about the people??? There is a lovely hostess who greets you with a smile as soon as you open the door. She will have menus ready, and if you need it, she will help recommend something new. The gentleman behind the bar is friendly and is ready to pour you a glass of anything. On this particular day he gave me a glass of a delicious IPA from Hanalei. He is always ready for small talk about the latest football game. Then there is the owner. I've met him a few times, he is friendly and kind every time. And of course, what about the people behind the kitchen! The true heroes of this establishment. YOU ALL ARE AMAZING! Great food is the staple of any restaurant, and they never fail to produce the best dish, every time. Every time I drive up north from Sussex County I always pull in to this Thai restaurant. The food is amazing. So, if you are hungry give them a try.

The newly installed bar gives this restaurant a really nice vibe. As soon as I entered I was greeted by a friendly face which is nice. I've been to many other restaurants and the first face you see isn't always friendly or welcoming. Our server was very polite as well. My brother and I ordered the fried calamari and shrimp in a blanket as appetizers. They were both amazing but I must say the shrimp were heavenly. Great way to give a dish your own spin on it. I had the honey fried duck while my brother had some pad Thai. We really were impressed with all of food both quality and also quantity. Definitely will be back for more. Highly reccomended.

2.7 not good for dine in. Service wasn’t good, we didn’t receive cutlery OR plates until we asked AND the plates came dirty so we had to get them changed. Ambience wasn’t great either. Food was relatively good. We ordered the chicken drunken noodles (level 5) which were pretty good. We also ordered tofu yellow curry which was okay. Maybe this place is better for takeout, but we probably won’t be coming back.

For Now I’m only giving a 4 star based on the food I tried and I look forward to go back to see if that rating will change. I tried the honey 🍯 Roasted ducks and it was good and just a bit too sweet. The Thai spicy fried rice I got with the duck was a bit sweet and very different from the regular Thai Spicy fried rice. I also Tried their calamari and it was good just that the tempura batter made it super breaded and there’s no variety as to getting the squid and some veggies to make it interesting, it’s very monotone and you can get tired eating the same flavor over and over. Their crispy wings with spicy 🌶sauce is not so very spicy and also the wings are tempura and does are not that flavorful unless you eat it with the sauce. I ordered the Thai Spicy fried rice with heat level 5 and that was really good and by far the best I’ve tasted so far, and was very interesting that it had some calamari as part of the sea food combo. In my next visit I look forward to try the soups and look forward to share my experience with you. And I did curb side order they almost forgot I was there if I did not call a second time. This review is just to share my experience so your experience may be different than mine because of your taste buds however I’m just sharing mine. I do look forward to go back to check out other items in their menu until I find what I like. Ohh 😯 I almost forgot the mango 🥭 sticky rice 🍚 is pretty good just a bit too sweet again but if you enjoy sweet dessert it’s definitely for you.

The best steamed dumplings EVER! Great flavor! They were so good we ate the first order in the car and went back in to order more. Also there shrimp fried rice is hands down the best we’ve ever had. Full of flavor, and amazing portions. My husband and I are very selective but this has become one of our favorite go to spot for amazing food. Lastly the staff here is just top notch, and so pleasant. It a wonderful atmosphere and I was highly recommend everyone trying this place at least once, but i know you’ll be back for more.

Update: We can not get enough of this place. Second visit and the food is still out of this world. They are also Vegetarian friendly. The waitress Lynn was kind, friendly and patient. Super sweet person. My hat goes off to Chef Lisa. 3/9/2022 Hands-down one of the best Thai restaurants my family and I have been to—friendly staff and outstanding food. The chief uses fresh herbs and chilis, which enhances the flavors of the food. We will most definitely be back.

This must be a joke. Absolutely no flavor to this Pad Thai. I added shrimp and they gave me 4 for $3. Also asked for no peanuts and they still added it. Everything we ordered was flavorless. We ordered here before last summer and it was great but I guess it has gone down hill never again. Don’t waste your money.

I have a new favorite spot when I come to Delaware! The service was top tier. Very clean, very friendly and professional. The Thai iced tea with henny was really good, and the Tom kha gai soup was so fragrant and delicious. Highly recommend, especially for happy hour

Tried the new Thia restaurant (under new management) Loved the food, new decor so not so dated. Nice bar. Service was hospitable. True to Thia food be careful of your spice level🌶🥵 but well seasoned outside of the spice. The portion size was good 👍🏾 Pineapple Fried rice and Shrimp in a blanket

We ordered Drunken Noodles and Beef Pad Thai, the food was ready on time and the drunken noodles was good and the pad Thai was just okay. I would love to try couple of other dishes soon.

We were staying the night in Bear DE and were looking for a good place to eat. Google reviews of Saap were complimentary so we went there. The reviews were well earned. It was the best Thai food we have had. All meals cooked to order, fresh and high quality ingredients authenticly prepared. Drunken Noodles with chicken was excellent as was pineapple fried rice. Staff was friendly and professional. Being in a roadside strip mall Saap is not pretentious but don't let that fool you: the food is outstanding. Has a full service bar.

I work in the shopping center and this is by far my favorite place to grab lunch! The prices are reasonable for the portion sizes and the meals are always consistent. Staff is super friendly and attentive. Quick service. And they have a bar so its a nice place for me to sit, relax and have a drink while i'm waiting for my ride home after work. Can't say enough good things about this place! Ty and Jerry are especially awesome! And the kitchen staff are dang good at whipping up some yummy thai food!

Fantastic food, flavor, service, and atmosphere. Tried this place for the first time tonight. The server, Heaven, was so friendly and welcoming. Our food came out quickly and was full of flavor. I had the panang curry the hottest they would make it and it was sweet and spicy without just tasting like chili powder. The cocktails were great too. I would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

I've been coming to this place for about a year. Overall their food is pretty decent, but their customer service and professionalism could use some work. I ordered pumpkin curry with brown rice. Their website menu reflects their brown rice to be an additional cost of $1.25. When I went in person they told me it's actually $3.50 for a pint of brown rice. I was not happy about the misleading extra cost, but nonetheless, I paid. When I got home and opened up my brown rice, I noticed that they gave me significantly less than they usually do for their white rice. They only filled it up about midway. $3.50 for not even a full pint of brown rice is a total rip off. I called the restaurant to let them know that they gave me very little rice and I was dissatisfied. A lady answered and told me that they weigh their brown rice on a scale, heat it up, and put it into the pint container. She informed me that I could not get a full pint of brown rice. She wasn't even nice about it. She had an attitude. Listen... I know we're approaching a recession and food prices have increased, but to purposely ration portions of brown rice for customers is incredibly wild to me. My advice to management is if you're going to charge nearly $4 for a pint of rice, you should make it worth it. Putting half of a pint of rice into a pint container and charging that much is wrong. AND dismissing a customer who is dissatisfied about that is even worse. If stingy was a restaurant, it would be, "Saap Lao Thai Cuisine."
