I ordered a pizza for delivery last night as a thank you to a close friend and in the "notes to the chef" box I asked for light cheese and no aubergine. It arrived with NO cheese and the pizza was covered with aubergine! I couldn't find an email address to write them so this post will have to do as a contact. The owner called to apologize, there was possibly a problem with the comments to the chef box as they didn't receive my request. The owner was very apologetic and offered to make it right. The pizza was very good, after the aubergine were removed😁, but the customer service was excellent! Thank you!

Really nice pizza but they are a little stingy when it comes to the toppings. I paid extra for pineapple and they literally put one piece of pineapple on each slice. Two a slice would have been reasonable. Minus 1 star for the stinginess.

Good pizza, not fabulous, but pretty good. Locally own, better the most of the area. Delivery unreliable, but for collection is fine. We had the marguerita and the shovelhead pizza.

Shovelhead is just superb! There is so much variety, bases, & toppings. Order through their online service or phone. The team are in tune with their customers to meet their needs & give a good service. Thank you Shovelhead. You deliver every time. My favourite pizza in Dublin.

I don't order take away pizza often. But when I do Shovelhead is the place for me. One of the best ones in Dublin and really interesting flavour combinations too.

The takeaway pizza is consistently disgustingly soggy. It’s totally undercooked and the slices disintegrate when picked up. Inedible and truly awful. Very disappointing as this was once the best pizza place in town, but clearly standards have been let slip dramatically - while prices have risen.

Tried this place for the first time. Ordered margarita and four cheese pizza. I must say the tomato base and crust was very good. It is an affordable pizza place atleast in DunLaoghaire where pizza is minimum 14-15€ and their Wednesday deal is decent too.

Pity, because it had all the hallmarks of a decent pizza place until we we left waiting 1hour and 30 min for 3 cold pizzas, at €48 and offered a drink as compensation, which I politely refused. Wouldn't recommend.

We ordered two pizzas and a bruschetta(which was just a pizza), the so called bruschetta had two halves of a cherry tomato per slice(the pizza was cut into four slices) and you had to eat half of the slice before you even got to a tomato. The pizza was nice but the dough was extremely thin and so the pizza was extremely sloppy, overall nice but I don’t think it was worth 13€ per pizza.
